The shape of the 82 doesn't bug me as I have special Grids that help box in the ball along with the top corners. The send it ball actually interests me more though as it's the unique of the two. I know it won't be used a ton but I sure feel better about having a precision blast than non precision as I tend to end up rough/bunker alot. Thanks for the review!
Tommy, To me it's the best bundle I've seen in the 5 years I've played GC. Still, I hate bundles. In this bundle if you got 75% Season 82 balls and 25% Borealis balls I would be happy. Why do you worry so much about the centering of The Borealis Ball. It's 95% of the time going to be in max overpower on the drive. I realize the issue would arise if you had a significant length EB or a short iron left. However, this ball will usually be near the green for a short chip where I would eyeball the correction anyway. Anyway, it's the least painful 2-ball pack I've seen. Is The Season 82 ball the first P⁶ ball with Pr⁸? The highest precision coupled with P⁶ (regardless of the wind rating) I could find in Cofefe's Museum of Balls was Pr⁶. Thanks for your review. Loren
I’m not saying that the size of the Borealis ball mean it’s a bad ball. But when doing these ball reviews I want to lift up all the good and the bad things I personally think about the ball, regardless how big or small the thing is 😀 Yes this is the first of its kind that is P6 Prec 8 W10. We have had both W8 and W6 with Prec 8 and Prec 10 in the past, we just never use it haha
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that you include all the minutiae about each ball. I was just asking you how much the size of the ball, those wires that stick out, etc. matter given that most of the time you will be hitting shots with it in maximum overpower. Does centering for short chips around the green matter a lot to you? I think I've told you before that I write a ball review for my clan BEFORE I watch your review. I like to see if what I thought about a ball is the same as you. I use you as my benchmark. Most of the time our thoughts about a ball are the same. The main difference is I will rate balls higher than you do. Example - The Borealis Ball I rated 9.5 for tournaments and you rated it 6.0 (I think). You take into account how often a ball might be used in your rating. I don't. Like you said, if you need it (talking about Borealis) then the rating is much higher than 6.0 (sorry if I got the number wrong). Please keep including all your thoughts about balls, even if it's a minor thing. I want to know everything you think about the ball in question. Loren
