Sounds pretty good. It does have a bit of emphasis in the high end, but overall a solid option at $40. I think a foam windscreen might be a good idea, and might make it even more usable.
The rejection on that was pretty amazing. I wonder how much you could pump up the gain and get a little distance from it? My wife has a cooking channel and is off camera wearing a rode wireless go. It would be easier for her if I could boom something pointed at where she normally stands that would reject noise from the sides. Thanks for the review.
I have 2 of these Saramonic mics. I got them for $29 each new. I also got the Saramonic foam windscreen for them. I bought them for interview, ENG style stuff. I have a Sennheiser MD-46 as a comparison. The Sennheiser cost $200. I think the mics sound good, but the handling noise is pretty nasty. In a studio setting, and applying eq, I can get a superior sound. It's a shame about the handling noise, kinda negates the ENG/interview field work stuff. But I do think for the price they are nice sounding.
Haha… fun video, enjoyed it. I have been very impressed with the Saramonic equipment that I have used.
Meeeee too. Good folks over there too

Definitely can't disagree on the handling noise. But yeah, otherwise... Very usable. Thank you for watching
Pretty good for the price. Can't knock it
Looks a bit like my Sennheirser 845..
I wish I had one for a comp.... As apparently they are not far apart sound wise.... So I hear
