Something you haven't touched upon, Texas is also home to BNSF Railroad, the largest railroad in the US. UP Railroad also operates extensively in Texas as well. BNSF and UP work together as a duopoly for rail transport west of the Mississippi River. Toss on the trucking companies, a Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, a US Mint in Ft. Worth, a sovereign fund that is doing quite well, and growing state gold reserve, you get a robust foundation for financial markets. Then, finally, Texas many universities are rising as well. The biggest fly in the ointment though, is the border issue with the mass migration of people causing a crisis the likes of which we haven't seen in a long long time.
Indeed Texas growth is just gaining momentum. I myself witnessed the departure of several transnational corporations from California to be headquartered in Texas. Great video Thanks !
Same here. Im from Vancouver Canada. Past few years has made it my main career goal to jump ship to the states. We elected a sissified Castro, and now have a Cuba-level economy. Every problem Cuba has, we have here. Our drama teacher turned PM, made highschool teachers earn more than software developers. We get taxed exponentially higher, for exponentially lower wages, along with exponentially more expensive products. Software developers, engineers, doctors, and the rest, earn 2x less in Canada. Thats the figure. Im not making it up. Meanwhile housing goes up by 50% the moment you cross the border. The brainrot here is so intense, that you have people defending monopolies as long as its "regulated by the government", Then they go on to cry about how loblaws is so greedy and evil, acting like they didn't just elect the very laws that let them do that.
You left out that Corpus Christi is home to Uranium Energy Co the largest and fastest growing uranium producer and processor in the United States. In addition to supplying many facilities that exist today they signed a memorandum of understanding with Bill Gates foundation to supply uranium to the new type nuclear power plants being built in this country. 5 of which will be built in Wyoming.
What do you mean "can't secede"? I hear that everytime I mention secession - clearly a very popular argument as I've heard it a thousand times over, but the rhetoric sucks. "Illegal" and "can't" are not synonymous. One implies consequence for a behavior. The other implies an inability. John Locke said that a government derives its power from its people, so i reckon anybody can secede on an individual basis if they feel like. Happens everyday. You probably have an anarchist or two near you. This is how I know he's from new England. If we do secede wtf are y'all going to do about it? Bomb us? Implement martial law and MAKE us work for you? What CAN you do that would make the punishment campaign worthwhile or cost effective? A law forbidding secession is about as useful as a rig for a horse. That is to say you only have an illusion of control over that beast and if it so happens to feel like it, it can throw you off of itself.

Can't secede because in a real sense, a second civil war would see Texas lose. There is no way for Texas to secede legally, and no way for them to do so by force...... so, yeah, can't secede. Or, as any DM in a DnD campaign would tell you: "You can certainly try."

Firstly thanks for this video explaining why Texas is growing at this pace compared to Cali. I would like to point out 2 things in the video which will need your attention. There was part where u were trying to show the revolution in Iran and showed a few characters with the head cover/band. The style of the headband that you showed is worn by Sikhs (Sikhism is a religion in India and is part of Hinduism and not Islam). Why I want to point this out is because ur channel will be viewed by a lot of Western populace and this wrong representation could mislead them to think a Sikh person as a person from Iran which can lead to wrong things. Second thing that I wanted to point out was that you did not mention one of the main reasons for people moving out from Cali to states like Texas being the indoctrination of kids with wokeist beliefs in schools, against the will of the parents. I could be wrong, but siting in the other side of the world, this is the info we r getting as one of the reasons. Thanks again for the video.
Until the oil market plummets again, then Texas will be begging the Federal government to relocate more tech companies from cali to Texas. Stop all of that prideful boasting because the state may again need help.
@@themack74 Texas has bounced back from oil slumps before, and it can do it again without needing federal aid. The state isn't just about oil anymore - it's got booming tech, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors, especially in cities like Austin and Houston. Plus, Texas has a huge "Rainy Day Fund" for tough times. The business climate here is super friendly with no state income tax and low regulations, which attracts all kinds of industries. The oil industry itself is pretty adaptable and innovative, staying profitable even when prices are down. Don't forget, Texas is a leader in renewable energy too, like wind power, which brings in more jobs and money. And with more people moving to Texas, there's constant demand for housing and services that keep the economy humming. The state's policies and investments in infrastructure and education also help keep things stable. So, even if oil prices drop, Texas is set up to handle it without needing a bailout. If Texas crashes due to plummeting oil prices, the whole USA could be in serious trouble. Imagine skyrocketing energy prices making everything from gas to groceries insanely expensive. The national economy would take a huge hit since Texas is such a big player. Massive job losses in Texas could push unemployment rates through the roof nationwide. Big Texas oil companies could tank the stock market, wiping out retirement savings and investments for millions. The real estate market could collapse with foreclosures and defaults spreading like wildfire. If Texas needs federal aid, it could drain the federal budget, forcing cuts to critical programs. Disrupted supply chains could cripple manufacturing and agriculture, causing shortages and price hikes everywhere. In short, if Texas goes down, it could drag the entire country into a severe economic crisis, making life incredibly tough and uncertain for everyone.
Can we get on the hydroelectric wave. We have the gulf and rivers that produce tons of power. We also have a lot of rain in southeast Texas to contribute to favorable hydroelectric production. Just trying to diversify our energy supply. And if you are coming from a blue state, Welcome and keep your politics on your old home. We have growth here for a reason.
We have hydo production on all sites that are possible already. There are no additional sites to build hydo dams. I live in Deep East Texas, I know. Wind and Solor are the best option in Texas as far as energy diversification goes. That said, we have enough natural gas to power the world. That is our ace.
Look, hydro is all well and good, wind and solar are............well, wind and solar. We NEED to bolster our nuclear. Nuclear is the future until we can build something like a Dyson sphere (and I'm not too sold on that being a good idea)

As a Texan I fully support secession for Texas. We are literally the only state that could be completely self sufficient in every way. You can day its illegal all you want but the federal government and Democrats are violating the constitution snd breaking laws all the time.
There is also the fact that no where, in either the US Constitution or federal law, is there *any* prohibition of states peacefully leaving the Union. Given that the 10th Amendment says that anything not specifically forbidden to the states in the Constitution, or specifically delegated as power to the federal government, remains, by default, within the power of the individual states, then secession remains legal. Not a single Confederate officer or politician was ever tried for treason after the end the of the Civil War. Letters written by federal prosecutors advised against going to trial out of fear that a jury would find the defendants "not guilty".
I need to correct something you said. Texas has NEVER been 2nd in anything. Its the greatest country on earth, but that doesn't mean we want people to move here..
We native Texans just hope that the people that move here don't vote democrat and turn us into CA , but Houston and Dallas is getting more to the left because of the people moving here . We used to just have Austin to the left , because of all the collage kids . People need to see how good our state is , and don't screw with it .

Just want to point out that it doesn't matter if secession is "legal" or not. If an area and it's people feel disenfranchised enough and decide it wants to rebel and go its own way, the laws of its overlords mean nothing. It certainly wasn't "legal" for the US to split from Great Britain under British law. As a Texan who does feel disenfranchised and would like to see an independent Texas, while I would certainly prefer the split to be peaceful, if pushed hard enough I would be willing to put my life on the line to see that happen. The US government needs to get it's damn act together, root out corruption, and actually start representing the people otherwise they may have some serious problems on their hands.

People don’t understand Californianization is primarily a function of economy, not political ideology. As hot money and high-tech industry that requires very little labor come in, prices in Texas are skyrocketing making life worse for most residents. That’s exactly the path California that has already finished. If you want low prices, a massive middle class, and general improvement of living standards for most people, you need high portion of manufacturing and transportation industries that produce and facilitate flows of goods. Also, you need high property tax that discourage land monopoly, and low regulations that encourage businesses. We see this in Illinois. In the south, Mississippi is and will be a better place for millennials and Gen Z to advance to the middle class. Texas is fast becoming California regardless of political ideology.
Good video despite the graphics. One thing that you did not mention is that many companies are moving here because Texas leads the way in repudiating terrible policies like DEI. Any company has a much bette chance of success if they base hiring and promotion upon merit vs racist policies. None of them will admit that but it is a factor. I always laugh at people that i meet when traveling because of their infantile view of Texas. After a while, it is just easier to tell them "yes, we all have horses and machine guns". In truth Texas is successful because of the culture. The Hispanic, German, Czech, and and English cultures all blended here to foster values that are widely absent in other states.
Texas will change as well. Nothing lasts forever. It’s the same ole story. Give it some time before Texas is unaffordable and people and businesses will leave.
@ScottsFinancialThoughts It already has quite a bit. My idea is to have an income tax and higher property tax for people who move here as they are causing the infrastructure costs to increase. Wishful thinking, but not a terrible solution.

The Texas Triangle is the biggest sleeper in all of this discussion. As it grows in power and influence, it will increasingly determine the state's economic, social, and political agenda. This isn't just unique to Texas, but the more traditional red/blue divide will likely give way to a more "urban" versus "rural" divide. I put those in quotes because it is really the large urban centers of the Triangle (and their close-by suburbs and nearby cities) are increasingly the dominate force in the state. These urban areas are increasingly filled with young professionals who have different views and values from old-timers in the smaller towns and rural areas. They are already starting to have an impact as there is a rising coalition of young professionals, people of color, LGBTQ+, and other transplants from other parts of the country and the world who are looking at local options to solve problems having determined that the state leadership is not their friend. They haven't yet coalesced into a full power center, but it may only be a matter of time. Secession, not going to happen. That's the pipe dream of a few wannabes, but the cost would be prohibitive and the state would likely lose much of the growth it has experienced. Besides, even if it were possible, most of the people associated with such a movement are not the sort of folks up to governing a large, diverse, and mostly urban landscape. What Texas might be able to demonstrate, and AI/AGI might aid in this endeavor, is develop new modes of decentralized decision-making at the urban metro level, address wealth inequalities by directing investments in underserved areas, creating sustainable business, economic, and environmental practices developed locally, and require maximum feasible participation in local decision-making. The video speaks much about the energy industry and it is important, but it doesn't dominate the state's economy as much as it did in the 1900s. A well rounded explanation would look at its manufacturing, financial services, tech industries, healthcare sectors, cyber-security, and advanced university research efforts.

@@MeGaLilCe5ar That would be *exactly* like telling the original 13 colonies to go back to belonging to England! The Texas Military Department (composed of the Texas State Guard, Texas National Guard and Texas Air National Guard) already has far more firepower at it's disposal than the Mexican government does; and, that's even *before* taking into account the tens of millions of armed Texan civilians, many veterans with actual combat experience, who could be called up to repel an invasion. Texans are taught in school, from an early age, to remember both Alamo and San Jacinto (where our independence was won, and the Alamo avenged). The Mexican government wouldn't be suicidal enough to send an army to try and take Texas back today, even without the rest of the US backing Texas.

It's a federal republic. That's when the states join together (as the basic political unit) and vote on things. This is why we have the Electoral College, rather than selecting the president by popular vote count. Senators were also originally appointed by state governments, rather than voted on, and served as the state's ambassadors to the federal government. We call it the federal government because it's the government of the federation of states that is the United States. "Federal" = pertaining to, or involving a federation.

The us conciliation doesn’t say anything about not seceding. Texas has it in its constitution that it can.. everyone said the Brit’s can’t go but they did.
Assuming you're talking about Brexit, Britain was able to leave because the EU policies allow for it. @@aidanryan4301 The Supremacy Clause only applies to those areas where the US Constitution *specifically* grants the federal government power or authority in a situation. Since the US Constitution says *nothing* (one way or another) about a state leaving the Union, then the 10th Amendment applies: that power / right remains reserved to the states by default.

Technically, we are a federal republic. The basic political unit in the United States is the individual state. We vote on things like the president at the state level (Electoral College) rather than the individual level (Popular Vote). Originally, even the senators were appointed by the state governments, rather than being voted on directly by the citizens.
Fun fact, BNSF is also one of the only privately owned railroads in the U.S.

Just close the fucking barbecue joints and TX would be on its knees.
@@Indrid__ColdWhere do you think the cooks in those BBQ joints learned to smoke briskit? Only the yankees and carpetbaggers would be crying, the natives would be fine. :)

We in Texas care about all Americans, we just want a strong America and secure borders is that to much to ask.🇺🇸✌️
Go Texas.
"its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the aize of the fight in the dog". We Texans stand together as one people. That cannot be under estimated. We are one family.

It certainly wasn't "legal" for the US to split from Great Britain under British law. As a Texan who does feel disenfranchised and would like to see an independent Texas, while I would certainly prefer the split to be peaceful, if pushed hard enough I would be willing to put my life on the line to see that happen.

@@DatBoiLuiIt’s not a good place to live its economically attractive. If you need to loosen the Tax brackets for corporations to come to your state to get people to move there the state isn’t that nice to live in it’s just cheaper
@@lanxy2398Texas being cheaper, and attracting businesses quite literally makes it a nicer place to live. Not only making it easier for businesses to do business which subsequently creates/brings more jobs, but also allowing start ups to start as well such as tech companies in Austin. Cheaper living also clearly makes living there nicer as well because people can afford nicer homes etc. Your point is so invalid lmao
@@ThatColtGuy No it doesn’t lmfao they give them TAX incentives none of that money that’s coming in is going back to the people of Texas in any meaningful way via taxes that’s why corporations flock there. Even with the increase in jobs the only thing it’s doing is furthering Texans wealth gap even more than what it already was. You should look into basic economics because that’s literally the strategy for Corporations, find places with laxer tax laws and regulations and set up shop. It’s why countries like Ireland are rich on paper but the average every day citizen can’t afford rent and some basic necessities
Don’t mess with Texas.
Don't Tex with Messas.
Take this video down. It was cute at first but then when you started mentioning houses in Austin you're trying to encourage people to move here and I can't stand for it. I feel like every day I'm hearing a new person just moved here. In 2020. My apartment was 1200 in an upscale shopping area. Now my apartment is 1800 my wages have not changed since 2020. I used to love that I was born somewhere that was so culturally diverse. But now I regret it because people moving here and jacking up the cost of living for the rest of us when our wages aren't moving in Texas. It is people who are moving from states that had more money for being given to their workforce. So they're better off financially and coming here and living like kings and queens and screwing over the locals
Texas is literal hell on earth... so hot and humid, 3/4 of the year that's all I hear about from my friends in Texas is how hot and humid it is and how the sun is trying to kill them.
Lol, sounds great hey?
It is great. Your friends are weak willed
Your friends must not be from Texas then
Pan handle has blistering cold blizzards coming down from the New Mexico’s mountain range. West Texas And big bend mountain range has crazy lighting storms and flash flooding with great deer hunting. East Texas is heavy timber and extremely humid, central Texas does in fact have weeks of over 100 and is very dry lately, and then there’s south Texas where fruit and vegetables are grown and the the coast is a sport fishing destination on and off shore and all the bays. Oh and there’s this thing called air conditioning and sunscreen. I suggest a big hat, perhaps a sombrero.
100% true, please tell that to all the Californians
If you don't like the weather, stick around. It'll change .
But don't California my Texas
Nice, a conservative Christian-cultured state is in the lead.
Not taxing the shit out of people makes them happy and prosperous; who would've thought
The funny part is corporate taxes are always passed on to the working class because it just gets factored into the cost of goods sold which is used to set the price of goods to be sold.
Texas: we are the best

Cold Front: heard you talking shit.
I was in oklahoma for that. It was bad in oklahoma too. Froze a bunch of stuff. Stuff that we weren't ready for. But I also lived in Florida when a hurricane Wilma knocked out the power for weeks. Socal is having record floods right now and Maui just burned down a few months ago. Almost like natural disasters kill people and cause damage.
@@craigrison007 Whoa there pal. It's almost like you are implying everywhere has some sort of harsh weather. City folk can't comprehend that.

Also you do know the US grid is a few EMP attacks away from being the dark ages again? Experts estimate 90% of the population will die within 1 year if that were to happen. 😂

Omg it’s the infographics narrator!!
At the rate that the Democrat controlled areas are crumbling. Texas will be able to separate. All the factories and companies are heading there. They have access to the ocean.
It's all about the right conditions and the right timing.
Democrat-controlled areas are importing everything from foreign countries which is now being jeopardized by various groups attacking shipping lanes.
Democrat-controlled areas are also becoming too dangerous to deliver to. Truckers deciding not to risk their lives to deliver food wouldn't be a hard choice.
man if Texas gets that wind farm its going to be an energy power house
Texas is filled with wind farms already lol
Half of Waco and east Dallas are wind power. The other side of Texas is oil. WINDMILLS are already in place and been working.
God Bless Texas

You forgot to mention the beef industry
TEXAS is the most POWERFUL state in USA. California Love 2 Texas!!! ❤🤍💙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The us conciliation doesn’t say anything about not seceding. Texas has it in its constitution that it can.. everyone said the Brit’s can’t go but they did.
Assuming you're talking about Brexit, Britain was able to leave because the EU policies allow for it. However, Texas shouldn't be able to leave the union, even if their state constitution says otherwise, due to the supremacy clause ingrained in the United States constitution
Edit: Not trying to degrade Texas or anything. This is literally the only issue I support the federal government in regards to Texas.
God bless Texas!
Texas if it wishes to leave will do so anyway. Do you really think a state succeeding is going to pay attention to "Federal supremacy" Thats a reason (A large one) that caused them to leave last time.
They would only be successful in seceding if they won the war that would result from them trying
Good video by the way....

Texas has also become a manufacturing powerhouse. Now being the only state that exports more than it imports even if you don’t count oil and gas exports. Texas exports more than the next three states combined.

Because we focus on core values like putting food on the table. So we work and teach to work and not overreach
We are a Republic not a federation.
Technically, we are a federal republic. The basic political unit in the United States is the individual state. We vote on things like the president at the state level (Electoral College) rather than the individual level (Popular Vote). Originally, even the senators were appointed by the state governments, rather than being voted on directly by the citizens. Senators were basically like ambassadors of the states to the voting body of the federal republic.
This is also why we refer to the government in DC as the "Federal" government. Federal = Having to do with a federation.
