See I love Slime because he does consider comedy an art form worth analyzing deeply yet he also laughs at farts like a child would do. Mans appreciates the low hanging fruit as much as the high cuz end of the day its all fruit
@@DanielLopez-gg1duAgreed. Fart jokes are just universally funny, to the point where they require an active decision not to find them funny. I think it's rooted in the fact that comedy is, at it's core, just the subversion of expectations delivered in a well-timed and cleverly-delivered package. Farting, being a disruption of social taboos AND a sudden noise/odor represents the absolute bare-bones form of comedy, distilled.
i live watched him put himself in the empty chair and laugh like little gremlin man and there’s just no way to replicate the feeling it gave me ever again, this whole stream concept is so silly and funny slime the commentary goat
Damn, now I wanna see Nick and Aiden react and talk through how'd they would respond to Slimes annotated podcast. Like a build a bear podcast they just keep adding layers
this video really helped me to appreciate Nick's humor. I always liked his one liners, but I didn't know he was getting busy like this. Just down in the ditches with the muck, getting physical with a spade n shit. Love of the game
Holy shit. Slime dissecting the podcast and his friends is something I never thought I'd need but now I want more. Mans could do a whole thesis paper analyzing his friends and the comedy within the group.
I'm not sure if I should take Slime's comedy analysis seriously or completely disregard it and that's what makes him my goat. Jokes aside this is genuinely great content.
The way Slime breaks down and analyzes comedy is more inspiring and thought-provoking than any of the writing advice I've ever been given by any professor or peer.
This is actually such a useful video. There are a lot of things that slimes does that I have done before but going deeper and realizing why and how those things work is super helpful.
Watching this is seeing a father experience the true joy that can only be found through parenting, the joy that you get when your child has grown up and is off to live their own life, and that comforting feeling that you know they will be alright.
actually fucking loved this stream, i've wanted to see slime analyze comedy like this for ages and this was possibly the best thing i could have hoped for
I know comedy is the main aspect of this podcast and i get why you're so focused on it, i mean you guys are funny as shit and it's fucking great, but i ALSO really enjoy the moments when you guys are more serious and invested in a topic, i think it's genuinely interesting and cool listening to what you have to say on certain stuff. I also feel like Aiden partakes in this the most and that's pretty cool. Idk it's just my 2 cents that nobody asked for, but hey it's the internet so i can post this anyway.
I love the idea of Anthony becoming just a chest and head that is still alive and healthy. It's only a few rewrites away from being a sitcom called The Boys in Slim Time
English secondary teacher here, I would never actually compare Slime to a teacher because his concept of classroom management (stream moderation in this case) is very strong-arm/iron-fist (i.e. he cracks down on "undesirable behavior" very harshly for a "teacher") but the way in which he talks about language/communication in a collaborative setting is very much in line with how we analyze dialogue in a literary piece, like a conversation out of a novel or play. the analysis of the flow of comedic speech is something you will see in a higher-level discussion around one of Shakespeare's comedies or a more nuanced book like Gatsby or East of Eden. tl;dr it's good slop and i want more pls thank u mr starr
I love this video because you can just tell that slime really enjoys podcasting. Like even if the money wasn't good he would probably still do it. Also he talks about comedy like it's a fighting game and I kind of love it.
Slime breaking down how he gets to his jokes and how Nick just has different options made me realise that Slime is the NA melee only knowing the 5 gods but Nick is like Moky
You know I’ve watched every episode of the yard but I’ve never watched anyone’s individual content (I found them after I binged all of chuckle sandwich and got recommended their ep with schlatt). so this is my first solo slime video ever and I always thought hmm sure yeah slimes probably a little silly in the brain but now I have no doubt about it Regardless. I am slime-pilled
It's so funny watching him go from "why are the comments saying I'm autistic" to "watch me intricately explain and break down this thing in extreme depth and tell you why its funny and how i could make it even funnier" that's my GOAT
ever since i have watched this a switch has flipped in my brain and i now find myself analyzing comedy in the same way as in this video. thank you slime my life will be permanently changed
I've never really broken down comedy like that before, and I don't know if I'd be able to even if I tried. This is a really interesting view into a different perspective. I wonder if it ever gets tiring always viewing things like this, since slime mentioned that he's always in this kind of analytical mode, at least for comedy

Slime managing to be parasocial to his actual friends is just the pinnacle of comedy
Slime comedy break downs is honestly a great idea for stream.
+1
i would watch this daily
I’ve never watched someone analyze comedy to such a microscopic level. truly amazing
It's because of the way he walks.

So glad Slime and Ludwig made it back from the island. "Natural eyes naturalize big naturals"? There's no replacing that level of genius
The yard needs the goon commander
The hero we don't deserve, and not really the one we want either but we're glad he's there
Goon commander was the best hit in a while
Slime moving his camera onto the chair has finally turned him into little gremlin shoobi depicts him as in all the yard animations
Video of a Twitch reaction of a podcast. Slop³ today.
I’ve been wanting him to do a breakdown like this for so long, it’s like I’m a 1600 in chess watching a grandmaster
The way he lovingly looks up at Nick after moving his camera and then doesn't adjust it to being head level with everyone else is so funny to me.
I'm not sure if I should take Slime's comedy analysis seriously or completely disregard it and that's what makes him my goat.
Jokes aside this is genuinely great content.

I actually love this commentary, I love how slime analyzes the opportunities and ways to expand or get out of a misstep when it comes to conversation.
This is actually such a useful video. There are a lot of things that slimes does that I have done before but going deeper and realizing why and how those things work is super helpful.

I would watch hours of slime talking about comedy like this
This is some incredible insight. Rarely do I get to see how others process a conversation logically from a point of view other than my own.
I would watch Slime break down every episode of The Yard like this
Slime is precious, they need him on the Yard. they’re nothing without him.
We need a Slime banter/comedy master class, this was enlightening and an experience
since there have been so many yard episodes, its been harder to keep up. this video makes me want to just sit down and watch all the ones ive missed.
Slime carries even when he’s not there
Slime breaks down comedy the way Peyton Manning can break down a football play. He’s remembered every funny joke he’s ever heard
This was actually insanely informative. It was very interesting to hear
I think this should become a ritual every time one of them misses the podcast
All on slime channel too.
I smiled throughout the whole video: it's always very cool to see someone break down something they are passionate about
I love the idea of Anthony becoming just a chest and head that is still alive and healthy. It's only a few rewrites away from being a sitcom called The Boys in Slim Time

I love the idea that every single joke made on the yard his mind was doing this the whole time
better than any philosophys of comedy tutorial

Slime breaking down how he gets to his jokes and how Nick just has different options made me realise that Slime is the NA melee only knowing the 5 gods but Nick is like Moky
I love this, hope there is more analysis like this in the future
The Yard with director's commentary - that was a really good video!
this is like a speedrun breakdown of human interaction
beautifully insane
This is like watching prime Lebron going play by play through a game he missed and breaking it down. Truly masterful

Slimes analysis of comedy is actually stupid good
the bits of him analyzing their comedy and dynamics were arguably more entertaining than the actual podcast, which was already funny on it's own.
Drawing a mastodon hits so much harder. I almost choked on my cereal when he came to that conclusion.
I think Aiden often ends up taking a bit of a back seat in episodes but he stepped up in this one, truly electric
@11:45 but even from that standpoint, Aiden makes the most sense because it's also a nod at the earlier discussion of Aiden looking at his own asshole
If all react content was this good there wouldn't be drama about it right now.
I’m down to see more slime comedy analysis. Fun to watch someone in their element explaining stuff

documentaries don't have to be formulaic though. i recommend you check out the film Behemoth directed by Zhao Lang for a perfect example of this. a documentary can be facts based and informative while also being poetic and beautiful, editorializing and the presentation are what make a great documentary stand out (aside from just goated subject matter).
