    I still prepare glide path with SS file upto #20K. Helps me know the anatomy and also easier on the cost compared to pricy glide path files

      Well, if you prepare a path to a size 20 hand file any NiTi instrumentation system out there can finish the job safely! The difficulty is getting to a size 20 in difficult cases. Unless you only tackle straight forward cases, which is totally fine, and smart on your part, getting to a size 20 hand file is 90% of the battle! Keep doing what you’re doing if it’s giving you good results though. Cheers!

    is there a difference between scout / glide path/ patency files?

      Every company has their own brand name for such initial use NiTi files. Dentsply Sirona calls them Path Files and BrasselerUSA calls them Scout Files. Essentially they do the same thing but the philosophy of their use is different based on the philosophy of instrumentation employed by each company. But to cut down to the chase, they are all early use NiTi Files that help enlarge a canal to a size that can be enlarged with larger size rotary files. So, they Scout a path to the apex for lager files to get through! Hope this makes sense. :)

    What can I do in cases that 6 or 8 hand files can't reach the working length ? I tried curved the files many times but also the 6 or 8 can't reach .. can these rotary scouting files reach the working length in these complex canals or what I can do ?

    DOC,what is your protocol of treating short fill retreatment cases where apical progress is so hard due to cementosis ?

    • @AANasseh
      @AANasseh  3 роки тому +1

      If there's a lesion you Ca(OH)2 and hope it will help. If it doesn't help then your options are either apicoectomy/retrofill or extraction. If there's no lesion, then you fill to the point possible and hope a lesion won't develop. These are the basic options. You alway work based on the possibility of having to do apiece if needed.

    can you talk about inferior alveolar nerve block ??

      That has been a big question and I"ve prepared videos and half way abandoned because I tried to do too much or make it too technical of a video... I guess I just have to simple video to explain it. I'll definitely will at some point, I promise. It's the most requested video! lol! Also, since I teach the advance anesthesia class at Harvard this should be a natural video... but it somehow never gets done! Will do! :)

    I tried the EndoSequence in my last 2 cases (molars, minimum to mild curvature on canals). The files were great and got to patency length pretty quick with #25 ES files (taper .04, then .06).
    The only trouble I faced is that the respective gutta-perchas couldn't go all the way to length. So I went again with EndoSequence #25 .06, then I tried the gutta-percha and it was 2-3mm short.
    I placed intracanal medication and temporary and I'm looking to find if there are any tips for me to bypass this problem. If I can't get the gutta down, otherwise, I'll switch back to Waveone Gold and the cases should be fine. [I didn't want to be stuck with Waveone Gold system as my daily driver]
    Hopefully, you will see this question and have some time to give me some light on this issue :)
    Thanks for the video! It's a great channel.

      If you prep to a size 35/04 for example and the 35/04 GP is a 1mm short, just fit a size 30;04 GP cone. As long as the main cone goes to the full working length and not longer than you can do some fitting of the cone in advance. Sometimes due to the coating of the GP cones it may be slightly thicker than the file. Again, it doesn't matter as long as the a smaller size cone fits to the full length and not longer. Hope this helps. Cheers!

      Yes, no problem with that. GG files are fine... just keep to sizes 3 and smaller to prevent over enlarging the coronal 3rd. Cheers.
