Georgian Bay Canoe Camping Trip May 14-16, 2024

Solo electric fold-up canoe camping on an island in Georgian Bay.
30 km range without paddling with the new 100 Ah, 10 kg LFP battery.
Went early this year before the bugs.
No bugs, no rain and light winds for 3 days in a row is rare.

It's free, so far, to launch from the big government dock at Snug Harbour at the start of the video.
Also free to camp on crown land near or on Franklin Island.

Paid to park at Gilly's because Carling Township took over the previous free parking lot and only Carling residents can now park there.
Don't plan to park and leave early because Gilly's has locked gates and they don't open until 9 am. I was there at 8:15 but the gates were locked even though they told me someone would be there at 8.
Don't be surprised Carling takes over the free government dock or starts charging to launch from there as well.
