Very nice. With that integration and nice straight wood like that the next step would to make it at least semi auto like the Sami Autosplitter so that you can get on with work on the excavator while the processor does it's thing. Great work.

It's not very difficult to fully automat this machine. I was already thinking about automating my pilkemaster, just adding a few switches and electrical valves and a arduino for the control. The only downfall is you need very constant wood to process. When a log falls wrong in the splitting chamber you have to manually overwrite the automatic process. A watchful eye is always needed.
I was already thinking about automating it, but here electrical sensors fall off because wood is not the constant size. It can be done just with computer vision and machine learning...
