There's an ocean of really awful 'how to' minecraft videos. So I feel relieved when I find someone new who can explain things succinctly. Keep up the good work, dude.
The fact that this works with Pam's Crops is a timesaver. That sealed the deal for me try this mod out in my next survival world. Now... If it also worked on Pam's trees... I'd be so set (but it doesn't).
Really enjoy your tutorials. This makes me wonder about placing a large underground hydroponics-style crop growing/harvesting setup. Or if there was a "minecraft in space," these could supply oxygen as well as foodstuffs for long space voyages.
wow... Just set up 9 of these using RFTools Power Cell w/ Mekanism Universal cable, Aqueous Accumulator, & Thermal Dynamics Fluid/Item pipes. (I love mods that play together nice!) Honestly though the output is way way way OP. I used mostly seeds from Pam's HarvestCraft and not only was the produce insane the quantity of seeds returned was out of control as well! 109 stacks of produce and 45 stacks of seeds IN 20 MINUTES!!! On a modpack server with an economy and a base with a massive auto crafting setup this would be awesome but as the server I'm on doesn't have the former and so no need for the latter I turned them all off for now. lol But it was fun watching the parade of veggies flying through the pipes!!!
+Polly Stewart I can't help but like it's speed. It won't cause lag in single play or on a server while other mod methods do. I think the age of the 9x9 fertilized dirt lag farm may be on it's way out with this in place and I can't say that's bad.
You're right about zero lag and it was fast!!! lol It gets real frustrating finding usable farming machines in some mod packs. While some do a good job like EnderIO and Forestry, others are just useless. I like the simplicity of the cloches and that they seamlessly played well with other mods. And using them with Mystical Agriculture is icing on the cake! FWIW Love your videos... when I do a youtube search for mod info and see the little mouse i know there's my answer!
This machine is single handedly my most favorite because when working on machinery and all that in minecraft, you don't really go out hunting a lot and as a result you don't notice how much your hunger has depleted. This machine makes automated food craftin so much easier because you just need to set up a couple of these and have them be converyerd into an automated crafter and then you won't need to worry about food thanks to a large supply of bread.
garden cloche's and conveyors are dangerous on servers it can lead to server crashes. if you have a storage mod like Yabba make sure to setup void upgrades so you don't overflow on cloche resources.
I know I'm resurrecting a 2 year old comment but since its at the top of the comment section and for future people discovering this block in a modpack like I just did in 2020, I plan to link mine with Applied Energistics 2 and use the redstone signal from AE2 to turn it off after it collects a certain amount of the item
@@Hughsie28 I literaly just discovered this a few nights ago, and, I can improve your design even more. Yes, use the ME computer, but also, add a compression drawer -for the things that can be compressed into blocks- and -if you have it- Industrial Foregoing's Black Hole Units, to store a nigh infinite amount of the item, and use a Black Hole Label, on the Black Hole Tank, to turn it into a better -in my opinion anyway- drawer.
Sugarcane actually can grow on dirt however there has always been speculation that it grows faster on sand (it does not), which is why most people have become accustom to growing it on sand as it was always believed that the theory was true.
Yeah, Sugarcane has always been able to grow on dirt from day one of it's inclusion into the game. It was patched shortly later that it could also be grown on sand to avoid players removing beaches just to grow their cane. Somehow that resulted in a near universal myth that it either only grows on sand, or grows faster on sand. It's kinda funny to see how even the IE mod author had the same misconception.
This and magical crops is a truly insane combination. Making essence these can be as productive as massive multiple chunk sized farms... In 2 blocks... It's insane. If you're planning on doing this, I reccomend investing in large storage solutions first, as it will very quickly fill up vanilla chests if left running for a few hours.
Has been a favourite item for some time. Great for inferium essence, just stick a compacting drawer on the output (no need for pipes, etc) and pull out blocks which can usually be upgraded in block for. In, I think, Stoneblock there are seeds for grains of infinity and you get all you need in a couple of minecraft days.
Oh how i need these things in 1.7.10. I did a huge mambo jambo sugarcane and hemp farm and i get only 1 sugarcane for every 20 or 30 hemp it spits out. Great video thank you and subbed.
This is really cool in and of itself, but if you hook it up with a Mekanism Culinary Generator, then that'll make a lot of RF. Might even be renewable!
I think it's "bell jar", by the way. But thanks for the video - I had been having trouble figuring out how to set it up. I didn't realize that it just kept the same seed and dirt forever and I never needed to input more, just water and bonemeal. I also didn't realize I could input items from the bottom.
If there's one thing I don't like about IE its the fact that using redstone control usually involves using vanilla levers which are really ugly on these machines, IE doesn't add any new ones. But thankfully someone solved it with a mod called "engineer's decor" which among many other things adds plenty of new redstone parts that match the general aesthetic of IE. Some of these are really neat too, going beyond just remodeled buttons, levers, and pressure plates with things like proximity sensors and automatic door openers.
@@TeamDookFN I don't understand why people like it so much. Isn't a 9x9 farm with a sprinkler and/or fertilized dirt better? I mean, how many farm spots do you think it takes to match 1 Cloche?
This will be great for hemp production. I use IE in a pack with Thermal Expansion and I was disappointed to find that apparently hemp cannot be grown in the Phytogenic Insolator.

You can use Vitalized Soil from Acquired Drops but the plant renders outside the cloche and if you pull the soil before the seed it crashes. Otherwise you can farm mob drops very efficiently with it. Ender Pearls for days.
Now, if they would be space themed, that would be awesome for my new space station build, looking everywhere for a mod that would make space agriculture more space themed than a vanilla garden with an enderio farming station, this one goes on the list, but the block belongs more to the steam punk style, maybe I'll use them and find a way to make them fit.
+MCDodge34 If it helps, the mod is retro futurism and more tesla age. No steam :) Buuuut yeah. Not so much space age though the cloche on it's own can easily look the part you need.
