  • Many people in America suffer from homelessness, many of them are not able to express their sufferings. But homeless people like Ron Davis and this man Obadiah stood up against people's unfair discrimination against homeless community. Obadiah says that no one cares about homeless people, he says even if a homeless person is bleeding on the side of the streets people would just walk past it.

Most homeless people are pretty nice and respectful, but there's definitely the outliers who are pretty mean, and borderline dangerous. I work at a grocery store in Portland with one of the only bottle drops in miles, so we get a lot of homeless people in. I've had some of my coworkers get assaulted, but 99% of the time they're harmless.

Damn son. I know what that's like. Good people don't always have a place to live. And it hurts being treated like a criminal. He didn't do anything wrong, unless you think homelessness is the crime. Don't be woke, just wake up. There are too many people in our country who need real help.

Sorry, but I can understand the woman. Most interactions that I had with homeless were unpleasant or dangerous. In my city, most of them are high and/or violent. I was spat at by a woman when I gave her sandwiches and chocolate milk for her and her kids. She wanted cash instead of food. One women war walking after me and screaming I was satan. Much more happened. I try to not interact directly with homeless people because of these incidents.

    • @justinstevenson2061

@@BlondeQtie well I mean this can happen, but also there are plenty of good ones.
The thing is if you avoid all homeless people totally, the good people won’t chase you down so you never get an interaction with them.
The crazy ones will chase you down and yell or whatever so you don’t need to initiate the interaction, they’ll do it.
Therefore you’ll really only see the bad side.
I’ve got a few people I’ve helped out with a sleeping bag, some food, and sat and spoken with them. I even hired one of the guys to come work with me for a bit.
Some of them could’ve made bad choices in the past, or can have mental illness that prevents them from functioning in society in terms of a job etc.
But they can still be good people. The one guy I talk to most cleans up around the plaza he’s in. Doesn’t do drugs or drink.
He keeps things clean around there from dickheads littering, and the pizza place in the plaza gives him a few slices every once in a while.

We live in a society where anyone can be victimized at any moment. I think people fear strangers nowadays and are also afraid of seeing people struggle like the homeless. I think folks are somehow afraid it will rub off or something as strange as that may sound. Almost anyone can end up homeless, not many are above that possibility.

I totally agree! I'm permanently disabled on my left arm and hand and this happened at 31 now almost 38 and I am petrified of becoming homeless. I do have family, etc, but seeing how difficult it could be to live in that way is truly terrifying to me. I try to help ppl on the street. Buy them food, sometimes giving them a ride or just cash and ask if they want to head to a shelter and they say no. All of us should strive to help those in need and especially the ppl that make hundreds of thousands of dollars and beyond. Nobody needs that kind of income.

@@Katfancy40 it's always good to help because we don't know what that person has been through. People like Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley look down on the homeless and I despise them for it. So many homeless have mental health issues and are veterans. Most are men which is also scary for me. Society doesn't care about people in need and minimum wage is modern day slavery. I was close to being homeless two years ago during the pandemic after getting out of a living arrangement with a toxic relationship. I've been taking care of my elderly mother for two years now because she needed me to. Turns out I needed her too.

*Here is reality:* in the whole World rape is up, robbery is up, assualts are up, drunk driving is up, drug abuse is up, race relations are worse, fake homeless people abound (i.e. most homeless today picked that as a lifestyle), the economy is tanking, more people people are living from paycheck to paycheck than ever before.
_The truth_ that you, *Matt Hone* and the video maker are completely ignoring 🙄 is,
*_No one truly loves anyone_* in this World, it is unsafe outside your front door. Many people carry self-defense handguns for protection against drugged up junkies and criminals on the street.
People are more dangerous and socialty is becoming less stable. Just check these new-ish ring cameras footage.
Stop being self-righteous and look at both sides of the situations. You have to be extremely careful to just leave your house and make it back in one piece.
*The People you are Trying to Shame*
People are people. People with enough for their next month rent don't want to deal with supporting those that chose drugs instead of life.
Those who are on drugs by accident or choice have many, many avenues of aid and support from THE organizations that were put in place to help them. But most druggies, homeless, homeless prostitutes, mental cases, etc. chose the street, chose begging, asking for the time (why would someone *_without a job_* need to know the time so bad?? - i.e. it is a set up for a con), and begging. Many living a life of crime, prostitution, and no permanent address _by choice._
Please stop judging folks *Matt* based on their actions. Those actions of normal, everyday people are not the actions of love true. They are the actions of safety and common sense.
      Stop✋️ assume things.

Unfortunately Society has changed and judge people all the same so in other words you could be homeless due to problems that you had when you were younger or unemployment or a nervous breakdown and it it said very sad but people seem to judge everyone as the same. I remember when I was younger my mother would deliberately take me to the poor part of town and Vancouver British Columbia in Canada and we were wealthy but not Millionaires and this was in the '60s and she'd make me sit there and look at the people who are poor and tell me do not judge them protect yourself but don't think that they're all the same everyone has a different story and I'll never forget this one time we're sitting in a restaurant and she told me to look at this homeless man who had just ordered a bowl of water hot water he took some ketchup salt and pepper and asked if you could have a couple crackers and that was his meal and then my mother would pay for people's Foods she would pay for other people so that they could eat so I've done that in my later years but I was homeless myself because I lost everything after my parents died to a crooked lawyer and it's not a nice thing to be out on the street one guy said to me as he was driving by and I was panhandling and having a nervous breakdown hey how much do you charge lady and I got mad and I yelled out I don't charge anything I just lost my family I lost my parents and he replies yeah that's what all you whores say. I was only 18 years old but fast forward that made me understand what life is all about and never judge anybody even the Bible says don't judge cuz we're not in the position to judge and even so I got on my feet and I had some people help me from this religious organization and they didn't push me into their religion they didn't force me into it they literally help me and never criticized me they got me off the street I didn't get into drugs thank goodness for that and I seen a lot of people get into the drugs and end up dying with needles in their arms it was a terrible situation I am very careful I don't give people money anymore I may buy them food I may sit and have a coffee with them in a restaurant keep my social distancing be safe wear a mask and just listen to them listen to their story listen to where they being in life and it just gives you a more compassionate Outlook and I'm not prejudiced I have helped feed a few people that were of the Native descent and people put the natives down I don't in fact they are one of the most undervalue people I've ever seen in a lot of societies and it's just terrible I think we need to all stop judging because we never know when we could be down there again we can never know if we lose the house that we're in just leave these poor people alone Be Kind to them after all you got to Heavenly Father that's judging you if you're not kind to others

      1. They are probably being bad people who wore out all the welcome from friends and family
      2. Most of them do drugs or drink. The main mental illness for homeless is Addiction not schizophrenia or depression or any real mental illness. Give them enough money and they may well use it to overdose.
      3. So much help is out there, but they chose not to take it so they can keep doing drugs and drinking. We have tried giving them free houses, they destroy the house for scrap metal to sell and fight the neighbors.
