I am the oldest of 6 from the area and I can not imagine losing both parents at the same time. God bless those boys as they now take up the task of trying to keep their family together. They are in my thoughts

      I can’t begin to imagine.
Not sure they were married, as some are calling her his GF.
She had 4 of the children. He was the dad of the 2 older boys who tried to help.
They may wind up going to the families of each one. It’s not clear how long they’ve been together.
May they somehow feel Jesus presence & comfort in their devastation. ♥✝🕊

If you jump in with waves you’ll get beat back to shore. If you jump in where it’s calm, you’re on a 2-300 yard ride out. Swim parallel and ride waves back in. If you can’t swim don’t please

Every student in the country from elementary school to university should be taught how to swim in such rip tides just in case this ever happens to them at some point in their lives. It should also be part of the safety announcement on planes flying to any state with a coastline (it need only be one sentence, which would add 2 seconds to the speech), and posted on large signage on interstate highways when entering any coastal state.

I got caught in a rip tide in Hawaii when visiting for my 16th birthday.
I am 66 today. I remember that experience like it was yesterday.
    RESPECT THE OCEAN!! !!
The natives warned me. I said…”I can swim!” True…but I did NOT understand rip tides at all !!
    Young and no experience!!
It’s where they filmed Hawaii 5…O…at the time.
I was literally praying under water…twirling around fast and gulping a lot of water…thinking I am going to die. I needed air badly!!
I had ZERO control !! NONE
I relaxed as best I humanly could and let nature do what it was going to do…no choice.
    Don’t fight it…makes it worse.
By Gods grace…nature…dragged and beat me around the rocks, back up to shore. I was exhausted!! My knees were all cut up and bleeding.
    I could barely breathe!!
I thanked God…for not taking my life.
    MIRACLE
I wrote a paper in college about my experience. “A”paper!
    I lived it…it was REAL and VERY SCARY!! !! !! 😱
Lesson: ALWAYS respect the ocean and warning signs.
DO NOT GET IN THE OCEAN if rip tides and WARNING SIGNS!!!!
    Say…NO!!!!!!!!!!!
    NOT WORTH YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!! 😢
    🚩🚩 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
    Wait until all is clear.

So sad for the families of these two who died. If you are unfamiliar with rip currents or flag meanings while at the Ocean, you shouldn’t even have your feet anywhere near that water. The ocean will take your life in a matter of seconds if you’re not careful. I visit the ocean often and am a good swimmer, but still scares me at times. Too many out of towners treat the ocean like an inland lake and have no clue how vicious she really can be.

    Red flag means ????

  • @Roxyismyfavoritedog
    @Roxyismyfavoritedog 3 місяці тому

Did the family even know what the “red flag advisory” is!? Does someone come and explain it to people who are on the beach!? I would assume a red flag means there is a life guard on duty? How would they know!!? If they aren’t told or there are not clear signs indicating what these “flags” mean and how to determine the severity then it should be a liability of the beach. If the town is paying lifeguards and has granted the public access to swim, then there should be a waiver to sign or some proof of education on how to escape a rip tide before letting beach goers enter. Especially, when you have out of state visitors and families with small children. Towns usually charge an entry fee to gain to get access to the beach and on most occasions are charged double to enter. So it’s at that point, that education indicating “you and your children may die today in the water due to riptide risk!” should be explained in detail and signed off on, especially if you took their money in exchange for entry.
Who in their right mind would take their children or themselves into a situation like that!? Almost no one! This is horrific, and it mostly likely will keep happening. Clearly, there is a huge knowledge gap about what happens on these beaches if many people keep dying the same way. Saying “oh they should have seen the flag” is a disgusting excuse for letting people die on your property and placing the blame on them. If I were the kids or the family of this couple I would sue and hopefully change beach laws so that people have “very informed consent” when they enter. Never have I been to a beach where this is done or even heard of. It’s a public health threat and continues to be across the coast line. More preventable deaths that will continue.

Praying won’t make them come back. You should’ve prayed for them when they were living.

      Blended family.
The 2 boys who tried to help them were his sons.
She had 4 of her own.
Not married. Their families will probably take their children, if the other parents are not alive.
Let’s hope the mom of the father & the dad of the mother are both living & willing / able to take their kids.

Excuse me if the other kids had parents they will not be split up. They will keep the kids together unless the courts decide otherwise. Learn how to read people.

If the other parent(s) are still alive, they most likely will go to their other parent.
That means her 4 kids will go to their father, & his 2 boy’s will be w/their mom.
The 2 other parents will not get married to keep the kids together,🙄😂
His 2 boys are old enough to not need custody. Both HS grads. One is in college.
      Hers are younger.
      *They were not married.*
