We have one more day of prep to show you all and tomorrow will be a practice round with Lucas Glover! It has been so great to watch Brandon prepare for his second major championship.

Josh Oddy watching this championship this close must be a real eye opener for you , unless you have seen major championship conditions up close and personal you have no idea just how different the courses are set up and tricked up beyond belief, it also gives you a full appreciation of just how good these players are and the standard that has to be achieved to perform at this level. I found it very sobering the first time I saw what it was like inside the ropes. But this experience will make you review your training and make you end up being a better player.

This course with this set up is extremely tough ,and tricky on and around the greens, it is clear to me we are going to see a lot of really good players look silly on and around the greens from time to time . The big clumps of grass in the rough are going to cause problems when a ball settles just behind it impeding the ball flight. The players that will do well on this course are tidy players and Brandon falls into this category so this could well be set up for a break through tournament for him..

@@joshoddy I am in the UK but worked on major championships and can see what this course is about just by watching the practice round, film always underplays the slope, speed and difficulty of the conditions especially on and around the greens but I am picking up this is super tricky from film and that means it is even tougher on the course for real. Brandon has a tidy game and that is needed on this type of course, although very tough this course is set up for him with his type of game but any lack of respect and over confidence this course will bite you.

@@joshoddy What I am picking up is that grain is a huge factor on and around the green and has to be seriously factored in on defining areas to avoid on approach shots, the grain and tight lies around the greens on chip shots makes things doubly tricky and down hill down grain putts look to me as something you want to avoid as the judgement has to be pin point perfect and even after you have stroked the ball and watching it drift you can't call where it will end up. What I have noticed when they trick up courses like this is that the practice chipping areas are set up slightly differently so you don't get the precise feel you need around the greens on the course.
