And it created a wave of sensation, literally a sensation in Kerala!Suddenly, everyone was talking about the film - in railway stations, cafes, campuses, literally every corner of Kerala. Boys suddenly started to come to campus wearing black shirts and few of friends literally saw the film more than 4 times at Theater. The film has lot of nostalgic elements in it which plays to the emotions of Malayalees like the references to old classics from the industry and ever nostalgic "Naaranga mittayi" (a type of sweet that we used to buy as kids) among many others. And Premam was one of those first films that got a pan-India reach and made malayalam industry famous among the non-Malayalee speakers in South. I hope you will love the movie

Also, if a cliched movied like that can won over Kerala audience minds(I believe, Malayalees are the worst critics of themselves) with record collections, then its purely because of Vineeth Sreenivasan's talent to show the movie in an uncliched way.

This is a story with Nivins character falling in love during three different stages of his life. It was a super hit in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, Ap. They even remade this with different actor in telegu. A rumor is that they were supposed to remake this in Hindi with Arjun Kapoor which might still be in early stages. Me personally I didn’t buy the story , I think it’s mostly about guys and I like the friendship he has with his two best friends that stays with him through out his three stages. I think the music numbers and bgm were just phenomenal which made it a blockbuster . But other than that I thought story was just ok. Maybe because I’m a female I couldn’t buy the story , but one can argue how can you justify whom you fall in love with.
