I was SO SO skeptical and almost didn’t click on it because this is honestly one of my all time favorite songs by Ray Lamontagne’s but I could not hide the all over goosebumps and slight tears that sprang to my eyes from this rendition if I tried. Bravo! 👏🏻
I CANNOT believe I am just discovering this wonderful talent! I am absolutely hooked on his singing. Have been playing this song and "This Is Love" over and over and over.....
Why is so under rated i wish he would have a bigger crowd because i am a big fan. He is blessed with a soul that cannot be compared to. His soul is pure keep the up the soul.
I want him to be successful, but I'd never want to see him playing big arenas, I've seen him and the band 3 times, twice front row in small venues and once at a larger festival and nothing compares to the energy in a small room full of their music. I just think any larger stage can't capture the magic of their performances.
Unfortunately, the majority of people don't recognize or appreciate real talent. That's why there's so much garbage on the radio. Particulary "popular" music. A lot of peoples' taste is entirely in their mouths.
This man has the soulful lighter vocal closer to many of the deeper voices of classic female soul singers from the past....i mean great singers. Taking on that Ray Lamontagne classic was a bold move but a good move... THIS WORKS....especially when you look away from the screen or scroll down and listen. I love it...few folk nail a song like this without muller'ing it completely. Great job.
Allen Stone your music and talent made Seattle proud. It's generational talent hope you stay the course. God speed on career . From Texas dude that teared up to this one. It's my song to my people that need encouragement in a place where there is none to be found when trying. Thanks for the heart check brother from another mothet
Beautiful voice i found this song by ray lamontange when i lost my father and again two years later when i lost my mother you did an amazing song wonderfully
There comes a time A time in everyone's life Where nothing seems to go your way Where nothing seems to turn out right There may come a time You just can't seem to find your place And for every door you open Seems like you get two slammed in your face That's when you need someone Someone that you, you can call When all your faith is gone And it feels like you can't go on Let it be me Let it be me If it's a friend that you need Let it be me Let it be me Feels like you're always coming up last Pockets full of nothing and you got no cash No matter where you turn you ain't got no place to stand You reach out for something and they slap your hand Now, I remember all too well Just how it feels to be all alone You feel like you'd give anything For just a little place you can call your own That's when you need someone Someone that you, you can call When all your faith is gone It feels like you cant go on Let it be me Let it be me If it's a friend you need Let it be me Let it be me Let it be me Let it be me If it's a friend you need Let it be me Let it be me, let it be me
Allen Stone is a great artist, because there is more than one thing, that makes him great. Playing with heart and soul, and not your head, no comparison. He has it, and us fellow musicians get him.
With the contrast between he and Ray's voices, I wouldn't have imagined Allen singing one of Ray's songs...but like always Allen delivers and makes an already amazing song unique, soulfull and refreshing. Allen Stone is not only a dope artist but incredibly underrated.
I haven't felt love like this since I don't know when. The voice that comes out of this man is just not of this earth. And to hear him say that he is "face first, slidin' into home base" in love with his wife renews my faith in love. Allen Stone, you rock my world doesn't begin to cover it.
It's not often you come across an artist who can do a Ray LaMontagne song justice. As a matter of fact, Matt Henry is the only other one that comes to mind... Remarkable performance here. Trust I will be looking into more of Mr. Stone's music! 👌
Allen Stone please come to Fast Eddies in Suitland Maryland. We love you here and would love to hear you live. I will be the first one in line to purchase my tickets.
Screw concerts. THIS is how I'd want to experience Allen Stone... Up close and down to earth, an acoustic rawness that is just mesmerizing.

I'd like to think he doesn't want a bigger crowd. For an artist, it's more intimate and enjoyable in my opinion.
CJSchecter96 absolutely small venue are where he shines. . spiritual even!

There comes a time
A time in everyone's life
Where nothing seems to go your way
Where nothing seems to turn out right
There may come a time
You just can't seem to find your place
And for every door you open
Seems like you get two slammed in your face
That's when you need someone
Someone that you, you can call
When all your faith is gone
And it feels like you can't go on
Let it be me
Let it be me
If it's a friend that you need
Let it be me
Let it be me
Feels like you're always coming up last
Pockets full of nothing and you got no cash
No matter where you turn you ain't got no place to stand
You reach out for something and they slap your hand
Now, I remember all too well
Just how it feels to be all alone
You feel like you'd give anything
For just a little place you can call your own
That's when you need someone
Someone that you, you can call
When all your faith is gone
It feels like you cant go on
Let it be me
Let it be me
If it's a friend you need
Let it be me
Let it be me
Let it be me
Let it be me
If it's a friend you need
Let it be me
Let it be me, let it be me
thank you!
Thanks for the lyrics
