Man when I was a kid I hated it, I thought it sounded cheap and robbed the sound of its clarity. As I got older I began to appreciate it's application in some of my favourite songs and even try to cram it in as much of my own personal recordings as I can.
@Jimmy Colorado I'm sorry that this may come as a shock to you but this guy jesus isn't the majority of the world's "lord". There are just over 7.8 billion people on the planet today and right around 2.5 billion of those identify in some way with one or more of the many different and oftentimes contradicting flavors of christianity. Of those less than half attend any type of religious service with any regularity. Currently the different strains of Islam are the fastest growing religion in the world and even that religion's growth is in 2nd place to the Athiest/Agnostics/I don't care crowd. In 2016 National Geographic did a study that found that over 25% of US citizens identifed as non religious or atheist which overtook any specific denomination of christianity let alone any minority religion and that percentage is growing every year. Europe is even further along than the US even with the massive influx of religious refugees in the last decade. Figure in Russia where 70 years of state mandated atheism didn't completely destroy the Russian church and today's China which continues to oppress religions it's very likely that there are close to as many athiests as believers in traditional religions. By 2050 barring an unprecedented change the majority of the industrialized world will be overwhelmingly either full on atheist or so agnostic as to not identify with any specific religion. So if it's not already the case, then certainly in the not so distant future the phrase Jesus Christ will be used to signify exasperation or surprise much more often by us infidels than it will be used by devotees in a reverent manner. Now maybe you were making a joke when you made your comment and if you weren't I fully support your right to believe in whatever religion you choose so long as it doesn't affect other people's right to believe or not in whatever they choose. But if you were serious it's arrogant and a display of ignorance to make a statement like you did assuming that everyone, or at least the majority of people would agree with you that jesus is some kind of god. It's simply not statistically true. Now, you of course have the right to speak your POV but I also have the right to do the same. The difference is I can point to actual facts and numbers when I make my claim. I've yet to see any god be proven to exist.
Yeahhh, I like how it sounds broken as hell, thats what I like in a fuzz tone. Jack White have a really nice fuzz tone, in his latest album it reaches near perfection levels of 'brokeness'
That was a ring modulator. He might have used a Fuzz Face along with it, but that was one of the only overdrive/distortion pedals on the market. But the main thing you hear in the Paranoid solo is a ring modulator.
@@psylocke1517 I would imagine he would have still been using a Fuzz Face into the mid-70s (when more effects started coming out). His main guitar at the time was a P90-equipped SG Special, and it definitely sounds like a P90 through a Fuzz Face with only a bit of fuzz.
I know you probably wont see this, but the fact that companies send you gear and if you don’t like it you dont demo it proves that you are not just in it for the money and makes you one of the UA-camrs that i harbor the most respect and admiration for
I really like fuzz tones where there's so much distortion, it starts to sound like less distortion than a normal distortion pedal might give. Fuzz feels like it's less of a 'drive the signal till it clips' and more of a ' reshape the sound till it's in a different category all together' (in a weird way similar to a really good synth pedal). I'm curious if others agree with me.
I love this channel, I mean he does such an interesting way of explaining stuff. Some UA-camrs explaining stuff are really boring but Tyler is the best at explaining stuff. He makes it so fun
Personally, my favorite use of Fuzz is Tim Commerford's Bassline in Killing in the Name Of. He actually uses Fuzz in a lot of RATM's songs, and it's what made me fall in love with the effect!
I have a big muff. It’s has very little bite, but when you play a note, it’s a statement. Sustain like crazy. Can sound really happy too, not all hard rock and crazy solos.
Favorite Fuzz guitar solo has to be Cherub Rock - Smashing Pumpkins. If you listen carefully you can hear a speaker blow because Billy was pushing the rig so hard.
Favorite Fuzz Pedal: Way Huge Jumbo Swollen Pickle MKIIS - Favorite Fuzztone Solo is Gary Moore playing a tribute to Jimi Hendrix's Red House at the Fender 50th Anniversary Concert.
Ima fuzz addict I just got a time bender mkII and a roger Mayer axis fuzz best two fuzzes I’ve ever had played or heard to me everyone’s different🤣. Love this show thanks for all you do bro

Chorus is like a favourite food after a bad day
Fuzz is the umami of guitar flavours
Fuzz is basically what I thought distortion would sound like when I was a kid
I literally wouldn’t exist as a guitar player without a big muff
Isn’t that why we ALL picked up the guitar? Get that muff, son
None of us would exist without a muff brother
That and the ds1 are the perfect pedals for alt rock
Thought it said “FU ZZ” and I was like, “what did those long-bearded guys do to you?”
Haha 😂
They copied him by using 9 gauges
Tyler: has like 20 fuzz pedals
Also Tyler: Doesn't have a big muff
Jesus christ that thumbnail scares me.
3:04 did it for me

Well hello there
The first 3 Metallica albums are some of the best music ever recorded...
My favorite fuzz tone is Matt Bellamy's
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I think that the guitar is the most important part for that tone, and yeah it's awesome
yeah
@@huntrdzYeah, the built in Fuzz Factory pedals can be a game changer.

My favorite Fuzz tone is the one Iommi used in the Paranoid solo. I know he didn't use a Fuzz pedal, but whatever he did with the amp sounded amazing.
That was a ring modulator. He might have used a Fuzz Face along with it, but that was one of the only overdrive/distortion pedals on the market. But the main thing you hear in the Paranoid solo is a ring modulator.
Also he used banjo strings instead of regular guitar strings so I guess that might have something to do with his unique tone.
did he use fuzz in the master of reality album(especially in the into the void) or am I wrong

Billy has my favourite fuzz tone by far. Modern yet vintage.

I think I understand what you mean. Personally, I love when fuzz makes the guitar sound like a trumpet or an angry swarm of wasps
That matte black PRS , where has that guitar been all my life !!!
Not a single Smashing Pumpkins riff
You're slipping tyler!😂❤

Jack white has his own pedal now. I think it's an octive/overdrive or fuzz. Check it out.
I second this

LOVE the last tone with the gate effect.
I love fuzz yet never owned a fuzz pedal! Guess what? I got my first fuzz pedal this week! :-) 40 years after first picking up a guitar!! :-)
Fuzz took me a long time to get in to. Of course, once you start liking it, it becomes more and more addictive.
Don't know why people find the thumbnail scary. It looks dank.
I don't have a fuzz pedal but I use an overdrive/distortion pedal with a graphic equalizer. Works pretty well.
I love my nano big muff to use for not only my fuzz tone, but my EARLY Cliff Burton tone on bass
Holy shit, that purple haze fuzz tone!!! Spectacular
Never use that thumbnail again. I won't sleep tonight XD

You nailed the Hendrix Purple Haze sound!!
Ahh the satisfaction of good guitar tone 🙂👌
my personal favorite fuzz solo is John Mayer's solo in his cover of Eric Clapton's Crossroads
7:30 when he starts playing I literally got the biggest sh*t eating grin and chuckled🤣
I think the first fuzz was 1954, Sun Studio, Pat Hare's "I'm going to murder my baby"
That PRS is sooo good. im in love with it
