Glad you are getting some sorting done. Hopefully now that you are doing it just by color, it will go faster.
When I first sorted by color in the past, I sorted all of my lego by color but now I am only sorting bricks, plates, and tiles by color until I empty the last 3 bins and then I will sort them by Part and Color.
Maybe you can divide some time between sorting and building. That way you get to build for a bit of time and spend some time sorting.
