The first day of Summer brings flooding salt water into contact with cars, and that combination does not mix, bringing insurance claims and lots of used car sales next week.
The people in Surfside build their houses on stilts, because they know the sea they reside above is not fit for human habitation. It is no different than building your home on the lip of a volcano. There are more responsible places to build human communities.
90% of the homes that are built on stilts are vacation rentals. as such they are relatively effective.
I guess they need to change the name of the town from Surfside to just Surf.
@@scottmcshannon6821 It is still a waste of planetary resources. Build the vacation cottages a mile back and put nothing bigger than picnic tables, life guard stands, and outhouses on the beach. Food trucks can come by to provide food and drink.
No federal government hand out to the state of Texas they want to secede anyway
I agree!
UA-cam BOT TO STIR THE POT.
@@harrynut3044 not a BOT l hear state like Texas and other states complaining until they need help from the federal government
Lol like we really need any federal funding. Texans help Texans we don't wait for handouts like the rest of the mouth breathing country ☕🐸
@@adrianenriquez2544 tell Abbott to turn down FEMA or any federal funding
Well, I guess ole Cruz didn’t have to escape to another country since now he has water front property!
Father have MERCY 🙏🏽
If it's so common, then why are insurance companies abandoning these properties.
Why isn't Texas independent when it comes to begging for federal help?
Right as rain.
Maybe the gov should call trump so he can give out paper towels like he did for Puerto Rico

Mother Earth just reclaiming what’s hers.
They all should of gotten Teslas a long time ago to prevent this "climate change".
The reason those houses are on stilts is because this is not all that unusual.. It’s the Gulf Coast. It gets weather.
Now we know why Mexico was trying to import 1 million jon boats for tourism and travel.....

It smells better already
That's normal for the Texas coast, and I'm 71.
Ughh...thery don't build their houses on stilts for no reason. It's a way of life.
