- You are watching my Fire Emblem: Three Houses romance/support conversation series. In this series I will feature support conversations between some of my favorite characters. You can expect to see the main protagonist with different companions and also support conversations between different characters.
When it comes to some of my favorite romantic partners, I will turn them into a "romance" video which will include all the support conversations, Goddess Tower scene, and S Rank marriage scene. Hope you enjoy!

If you recruit Felix in VW, then after Dimitri dies, Felix reveals that Dimitri was not only a close friend, but his BEST friend, and asks, "do you think I could've saved him?" and I think that adds a whole new layer of context to these supports.
yeah :( He mentions Dimitri again just before the fight in Enbarr and says he wants to put Dimitri's soul to rest (Or something to that effect)
meanwhile sylvain is like "ATTACKING A FORTRESS IS LIKE COURTING A WOMAN, PROFESSOR" immediately after Dimitri's death LMFAO i wanted to deck that mfer

That's not because Sylvain is a douche. It's because that's his AM dialogue when you're about to fight at the Great Bridge chapter. AM fights the Death Knight on that bridge later on (chapter 20) while in SS and VW they do this chapter earlier (chapter 18). It's just bad timing and not cuz Sylvain is insensitive.
Yeah when I played VW and heard Felix stumbling on saying Dimitri after calling him a boar one last time felt shocking and heartbreaking :(
The guy who spends practically the entire game dogging out Dimitri...becomes his most trusted adviser and right hand. I'd say that's about right.

When it comes down to it, both of these men are wracked survivor's guilt in the wake of both the events of the story and the tragedy at Duscur. They just happen to express it differently. Dimitri is haunted by the ghosts of the past while Felix, despite seeming to pursue strength for its own sake, really wants to make sure he can protect the people he cares about. I think the last conversation was enlightening for both of them, that it is possible to honor the dead while protecting the living.

I honestly think the blue lions have the best support conversations. Because everyone has a history with someone else, they feel like old friends.
Dimitri, Dedue, Sylvain, Felix, and Ingrid have all known each other since childhood, Annette and Mercedes are friends from their old school, the only one who hasn't known someone since before the game starts is Ashe. Which is probably why I felt he was one if the weaker characters in the BL house. I love every interaction between everyone, they all have a unique dynamic and mesh really well together. I think part of that is because a lot of them were friends before, but also just because they're more interesting because their past so well explored. You can't even begin to compare someone like Raphael to anyone in the BL house, they're just not on the same level

Ashe isn't the weakest Blue Lions in terms of support conversation. I'd argue that Annette probably is, because majority of her conversations feel superficial (save for a few). Ashe has great dialogue with everyone, and his Dedue support is (IMO) more emotional than any of Annette's supports. Just because Ashe isn't connected to them by history, doesn't mean he didn't have great moments with them in conversation.
@@l.n.3372 Saying Ashe is the weakest in Blue Lions dosen't mean his supports aren't great, because they are. Compared to the other houses his are top tier, but when you're surrounded by other people with top tier supports even something great can look worse just by comparison. I can only remember one of Ashes supports and it was something about a ghost, I just don't find Ashe as compelling as other bl students, but that doesn't mean he has bad supports. If that makes sense lol

Don't get me wrong, I understand your words. I'm aware that many find Ashe to be the most bland of the Blue Lions, but I've never agreed with that assessment given his wide range of conversation topics.
But as a Blue Lions fan myself, I find Annette unfortunately very shallow and superficial in most of her support conversations. So it's impossible for me to believe that Ashe is the weakest link of the Blue Lions cast in terms of support.
I think you're talking about the Ashe/Annette support, which is kinda immature and childish yes. But that's not a bad thing either: it's lighthearted and fun in a house (Blue Lions) full of dark tragedy. I'd highly recommend Ashe/Dedue as the best Ashe conversation. Ashe/Catherine ties into the plot, and their paralogue, very well. And Ashe dialogue with Felix and Ingrid shows that Ashe is great at helping his companions to grow a lot, as does the Ashe/Hapi dialogue too. His conversation with Dimitri reveals a lot about Faerghus class structure. And I liked his dialogue with Gilbert too, since Ashe has always dreamed about becoming a knight. Also, Ashe/Petra is super cute, and Ashe/Caspar is pretty good too.
I'd rank Annette the "worst" Blue Lion in terms of her support. Even tho I like a few of hers, I just find them more bland as a whole. Idk what it is about her, but maybe it's because she doesn't really grow or change as much as the others, IMO. Her conversation with her father was, to me, her best conversation in terms of her growth. But ironically, most people don't use Gilbert and thus they never even read their support. I do, however, like Annette's dialogue with Dimitri and Ingrid too. Her conversation is ok with Mercedes but not good enough for me to rank that highly. But I'll never understand why Felix/Annette is so popular. I expected them to bond over their complicated relationships with their dads, Gilbert and Rodrigue. But alas, apparently singing in the greenhouse is more important than actual character development lmao.
@@l.n.3372 I'll be honest, it's been over a year since I last finished my blue lions playthrough and I can't remember Ashes (or Mercedes) supports save for one or two. When I go back and play BL again I'll give Ashe another chance and see if he grows on me at all. You make him sound so much more interesting than I found him when I played, but it could be because he was never my focus when I played.
Also I'm a Netteflix shipper lol, I think it's so popular because of Felix, their supports are the only time hes not being a total jerk, and for Annette it's the only time she isn't being nice 24/7. Although Annette has some other great pairings I feel Felix only really goes well with Annette. I can see how she could be viewed as shallow but so can everyone if you only look on the surface, that's why Three Houses is so cool to me, because you could never know this huge detail about a character unless you got a specific support with some random person.
In the Golden Deer path, if you recruited Felix, talking to him after Dimitri dies, he states his regret as a friend and wonders if he stayed by Dimitri’s side, things might have changed
It seems that deep down, what Felix really wanted was his old friend back, but the “Boar” was all he saw.

That's a pretty accurate way to look at it. When looked at as a whole, Felix has some measure of unresolved trauma just like Dimitri, though his causes him to push everyone away, but he still cares about them. Even on the Azure Moon route, he's devastated when his father dies showing in spite of all the spite he throws out, Felix really does care about his friends and family. It just takes losing them or near losing them in Sylvain's case to make him realize it.
More or less, he loves Dimitri, but he is scared of his dark side. But the real reason behind his animosity ties more to his hate for chilvary and the black/white morality that Faerghus push,it killed his brother and was responsible for Dimitri's madness, at least from his point of view. That's why he is such an interesting to recruit in other paths in my opinion, the tragedy of his path (especially in Crimson Flower) and characther arc is incredibly interesting and his best characther arc, even if often lead to a least happy ending (althought not necesarily a bad one).
In every path that Felix doesn't stay with Dimitri he never achieves full happiness, because he doesn't actually hate dimitri.
The problem is that Dimitri's method of coping and obsession with revenge are basically self-harm and Felix is afraid Dimitri will be totally swallowed by his own darkness. But Felix is utter shit at communicating these things because he's damaged, too.

Felix gets a good ending in CF if he’s paired with Annette. They both killed their fathers for the sake of the future.
What interests me so much about Felix is how many of his supports go into philosophy. His view of knighthood, chivalry, and “the affairs of the dead” are essentially a modern perspective. I feel like that’s why “reason” is his hidden talent.
Yeah, I think his philosophy on chivalry is a lot more relatable to most players than the rest of the characters.
That's a very meta commentary and I'd like to agree. Yet, it's simultaneously hilarious that Felix only learns 2 reason magic spells. So on a meta level, it's almost like he wants to sound more intelligent than he actually does xD he likes to wax philosophically. But his support with Seteth is a good example about how Felix doesn't understand some of the stuff he claims to preach about.

Felix is definitely a top 5 Three Houses character for me in terms of support conversation dialogue and story connection to the Blue Lions. He's both well written and an amazing unit in gameplay too, for added bonus.
But as one of my favorites, I will always bully Felix about silly stuff too :P

I have to admit, Felix's words in that A support are pretty powerful. I almost felt like he could have been talking to me. Maybe because there is the smallest part of me that relates to Dimitri, just a bit. Whoever wrote these scenes did a great job.
I actually feel the same way. While not to Dimtri’s extent obviously I have been hanging on to people who are dead and been unhealthily hanging on to the losses for years. I’m glad I saw this support.
the b support is so sad,,,for a moment you think they are actually getting along for once and they start reminiscing their past and even laugh about it, but then felix remembers the old dimitri is gone and he lashes out and shuts himself away again :(

its interesting to me that felixs best solo ending is specifically in azure moon with dimitri alive, in every other solo ending he continues to crave fighting but in azure moon he embraces the "shield" role and becomes dimitris right hand man. in VW in continues mourning dimitri for multiple months after his death, it almost made me think he'd be better off if i never recruited him.
Platonically or romantically, Felix is at his best when Dimitri survived the war, became King, and fixed Faerghus for the better.

Y’all I am so beyond excited to play this game...Dimitri is slowly becoming like one of my favorite characters in fiction EVER. I’ve seen bits and pieces of the story, but I don’t know the extent of everything. I’m currently playing FFX-2, so once I finish that I’m hopping into this.
I truly hope you'll enjoy playing the Blue Lions route. It has at least one fairly glaring plot hole imo regarding the father of one of the students in the Blue Lions, but looking past that, I think the "Person V.S. Self" conflict Dimitri really struggles with profoundly helps his character development. Chris Hackney's amazing work voicing DImitri in the English version (if you're playing it) really makes that struggle and development feel so genuine, to boot.

Still, I don't see him being an asshole to someone trying his best to keep himself from going too far as the right thing to do. It's almost like he's pushing him to... Wait a minute. It pretty much summarizes the Dimitri/Felix relationship lol. But it also summarizes a lot about Hubert/Ferdinand and Claude/Lorenz as well. Sometimes, those who criticize you the most end up becoming someone you seek for advice/companionship the most.
Felix is my favorite male caractere in the game, i like him a lot, as girl caractere it's Lysithea, I know there is a support between lysithea and Felix, it's so funny she's eating candies or cake in secret :)

After seeing their C-Support, I was so ready to watch the rest of it, until I saw the message “You missed the opportunity to deepen this bond” once I got to the timeskip. I was so pissed, this was beyond the most exciting support in the game for me. What other reason would they have to make you miss the support other than to fuck you over and add more replay value? I understand how Dimitri would have a hard time speaking with others post-timeskip, but jeez I already have to play this game 4 goddamn times in order to experience all of the story paths, I’m not about to play it again just to get supports. Videos like these are a godsend, only a true masochist completionist would %100 all the conversations and supports. Thank you.
Worst Part Is That The Game Never Tells U How To Get Specific Supports & How Come A Few R Locked In Some Way
I initially wrote Felix off as an edgelord pretty boy, but when I got further into the game and he started going into his philosophy I understood why he was so irritable. I guess some could say he is a bigot for being irritable about people disagreeing with his philosophy and forming a bond with Byleth because Byleth shared some of the same viewpoints, but I don't view him as a bigot. I view him as someone who is highly intelligent and passionate about his beliefs. And his philosophy does actually make a lot of sense. I always agreed with Felix's rants about chivalry and vengeance.
I mean, when you put things from Felix's perspective everyone else seems insane, talking about how right it is to die for something, the way they practically worship sacrifice. So many people are worried about how they're going to be seen after they die that they forget how to live, and they think so much about the people who've died that they don't have time for the people who are alive.
I love Felix simply because he knew exactly how crazy dmitri was from the beginning.

Here's an idea: When playing Crimson Flower, would it be more merciful to recruit everyone except Felix? Everyone else has good endings and a reason to side with some of Edelgard's reforms (and can decrease her reliance on TWSITD). But Dimitri has a more merciful life on that route (even though he stays driven by his anger, like every route). It's possible for him to die peacefully with Dedue. Not recruiting Felix means he doesn't become a boar himself, and gives Dimitri one more friend around to keep him a bit happier (before he drives them all to their deaths out of his bloodlust).
Not recruiting Felix means he is a required kill, and it's very possible he'll have to watch Rodrigue die right in front of him.
So pick your poison.
I simply don't understand that everyone complains of that one time Rodrigue said "He died like a true knight", claiming him a bad father or that he glorified death, or that Fargheus is a toxic place with a toxic mentality, yet these are the same people who would not recruit others and kill them after the time-skip out of "mercy". Isn't that glorifying death too? Mercy is sparing the characters that are not mandatory kills or having them by your side and give them the chance of living their full life as best as possible (aka pair them up with the correct characters). Outside AM, Felix's ending with Annette is a very good one where he gets to be happy, same goes with his ending if paired up with Ingrid.
Geez, I get it, Rodrigue said a bad thing in the worst possible moment (and he really did love his son, he never was happy Glenn died), yet I simply find hypocrite that everyone complains about that one quote while at the same time having the exact same mentality they claim to hate.
Not recruiting characters is fine, anyone can choose not to do it to make the game feel more emotional and that's totally fine, but doing it because "mercy" is glorifying death.
Killing your old friends in war is not mercy.

Tbh I think it's simply that people who criticize Rodrigue haven't been in that position before. But many parents who have lost their soldier children in wars throughout history have taken pride knowing that even if their beloved child died, that they died a hero/heroine protecting what they believed was right etc. It's not that they don't miss their son/daughter, but that's simply how they find peace in their deaths. And Rodrigue knows Glenn well, and knew that Glenn wouldn't forgive himself if he had failed to protect Dimitri from death. Rodrigue feels the same way, feeling guilty that he failed to protect Lambert.
Aw, man. I didn't get that epilogue. Mine was with Felix and Sylvain being very close their whole lives. I wonder what I did wrong.

Felix really is a hypocrite.
Dimitri is a "boar" for happily killing people who were deemed responsible for a GENOCIDE and later killing people...in a WAR zone.
Meanwhile, Felix straight up admits to Byleth that he does not want the war to end just so he can keep fighting and Felix will spend the rest of his life killing people in almost all of his bloody endings because he can't stand living in peacetime.
Felix being a hypocrite is the point of Felix's arc on CF. He admits that he's become exactly like the boar.

I though it would have been the other way around after the timeskip. But after playing through I got a better understanding. I just had some kind of high expectation thats all
