As a late diagnosed autistic person, i have learned people tolerate me but i don't think anyone really likes me. My main social outlet is work, but i have no friends outside of work currently. But it's fine i like being in my own little world hanging solo in my apartment just doing things i find nourishing. People are hard work, and i just don't understand them.
Associating with other people can definitely make life problematic at times, I totally get that. Learning to be comfortable and content in your own company is a valuable skill!

This is a bit hard for me considering I'm rather stubborn and I hate with intensity but also love with intensity. Don't get me wrong if it's a less opinionated subject that hasnt got anything to do with politics or fundamental beliefs then I'm more likely to take a middle ground and hear people out. Like I say tho, I'm not interested in people pleasing so I don't actually care if people like me or dislike me either way. I just go through life tryna do me and making friends has become one of my last priorities tbh coz most the time, for me anyway, as long as I find someone with similar hobbies or music interest, I usually find that they're likely to think similarly.. which is why most of my mates in my small circle happen to be online and we met via UA-cam content creation or through socia media discussions. Anyway, even if I cant see a lot of people eye to eye, theres some valuable advice here for the people I do find cool, admirable or relatable, thanks Mac 😎
I get that man, it's a pain being social most of the time! I think it's sick that you were able to connect with friends through UA-cam! Definitely a good way to connect with people that have similar interests!
