Nice having the tealight candle handy in front pocket, could add a lighter or matches right there instead of searching another zipper pocket. And i would keep sail needle in first aid pouch in case had to grab bandana onehanded to wrap a cut. Good pack!
def. add t.p. + hand-warmer's , the kind hunter's use ! , and baby-wipes too ?, lanyard compass with temp. dial too , great vid + content and a pleasure to watch + enjoy, learning everyday , thanks brotha > tom !
yeah I have a compass in my own bugout bag, baby wipes not something I thought about great idea for cleaning up, I don't usually add hand warmers, but for those that use them I guess, that would be a good idea, thanks for the info.
@@redfox_outdoors very cool and your welcome brotha ! , and if need be once the warm goes out in them you can set em on fire like briskets or to start one ?, endless possiblities , KEEP EM COMNG > tom !
Like others said add some poop tickets, small packet of antibacterial wipes or the little tubes of the stuff, couple spare batteries for the headlamp, couple bottles of water so you're good to go soon as you need it because one of the first things you don't want to do is have to find water straight away and a couple moleskins, just a couple 3" by 2" squares.
in my normal bugout bag I carry a 3L water bladder full, clean it out every so often. 2 of the lifestraw water bottles on the outside pockets, and 2 of the 1L water bottles in the bag, I have a smashed roll of TP and those antibacterial wipes in my kit. just didnt add it to this bag wasnt fully thinking about all that when I made the video but thanks for the great info.
thanks, yes I tend to pack quite a bit my normal bugout bag has a hammock, underquilt, and 15 x 15 tarp in it, along with a military sleep system, a shemagh and tons of other items TP, food and almost everything that was in this pack.
The fire bellows is made to blow into the big end. It makes pressure as the pipe shrinks so you get a small fast stream of air to blow an ember to flame or to give a lot of air to a small fire to make it bigger...
99% of the time you are sheltering in place. If you have to evacuate the kit is different - meds, insurance info, pets, kids, a change of clothes, small first aid kit, water, emergency food for a day or two, and whatever else is highly valuable an irreplaceable that you can grab at a moments notice. Duct tape, paracord, ferro rods, etc does you no good when you were fleeing a hurricane, tornado, floods, earthquakes. If you live in colder climates, keep blankets and basic car-snow supplies (shovel, cat litter, road salt, etc) and a way to call for help.
bought it that way and I bought it on amazon its a small tin that comes with fatwood sticks, a sack of fatwood, striker fero rod and jute twine and a card describing what to do. I will toss you a link up in the description
how much money, not sure as I have built this bag over time, but probably several hundred dollars if I had to guess. don't nuy everything at once, just get an item here or item there, build it out to your needs. wool blankets can itch it really depends on what type of wool blanket you get and if you are used to it. military wool blankets are generally 80%wool and 20% polyester and can itch unless you are used to it. there are wool blankets you can buy elsewhere that don't itch with less wool content but I prefer 100% wool if I can find it, wool tends to repel water but can get wet over time, as far as wool socks no they do not itch. I recommend the marino wool socks if you buy them, they are moisture wicking and extremely warm in winter weather. there is a link in the description for you not sure they are the marino wool ones but use the link and then you can find the right pair, if you want to buy a pair. thanks for asking, hope this helps answer the question.
So...you use the same bag in two different vids?..well...excuse me for asking, but what happens when you need your get home bag,but it is a "bug out bag"?...it does not work that way you know...not that it should be a big difference, but your intro defo made it sound like it would..cause you know, the bug out bag, should stay close to your door, the get home bag should be in your vehicle...
yes I know that and I have 3 different bags my normal bugout bag it stays in my truck and this particular bag yes I did use twice but as stated this was a demo of a way to build out a bag and was to be an informative video nothing more. I have a get home bag I carry it get taken out daily some things get used I replace and other stay in it its ever changing.
The wool blanket is great also...I'm 65 and learning from your vids! Thank you!
Wonderful!

After the first 25 items, I was thinking this was one of those Michael Carbonaro Effect magic tricks of the never ending bags. Amazing build out! 👏 👏!

Great video! I really like the fatwood in a bag. Did you do that or did you buy it already bagged?

Why not at least one bottle of water?
this was a demonstration of a bag to build, I hope that others would build it to suit their needs for water etc.
Question do wool blankets and socks itch? I was told they itch so I don't buy any. How much money would you think to go in a bugout backpack?
