I think you should actually place Franz and Theodric near Hellpit thats where Throt will spawn. Elzbeth should be able to deal with a resurrected Ikit, but the issue is that your gonna have to go to Cathay for Snitch and Lustria for Skrolk. The small skaven clans I don't think appear in the empire, but when they do you'll have time they aren't automatically at war with you.

Exiles are also vacationing in ultuaan in my Oxyotl campaign, but the donut is still struggling in mine, nkari is even invading bretonnia😂

The Tomb Kings are all over the place in my campaigns too sometimes. I attribute that to the fact that they send out their Necrotects to colonize any razed/abandoned settlement they come across. But ye, if N'Kari fails to seduce any faction, he usually falls off very hard.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a custom notification system where you can set your own notes somewhere, name them and then decide to be reminded once (in X amount of turns) or once every turn?
Feels good to receive money to join a war against a faction already on the edge of extinction.

With Snikch in Cathay and Skrolk in Lustria, your primary concerns are Ikit and Throt so it might be wise to place Elspeth near Skavenblight and Karl or Theodoric near Hellpit in order to stop them before they become too much of an issue. Queek and Tretch would be of some concern, but Queek in the the Southlands near Karak Eight Peaks and Tretch is over in the Darklands, so they might come after you and cause problems should Ikit or Throt not be dealt with. Snikch would need to push through Cathay both mountains and the Darklands in order to reach you while Skrolk has to travel across the ocean to reach you so you have at least sometime to prepare for those two to arrive when the Vermintide hits.

I think Salzenmund also needs defences. There's also the Landmark building available now in Laurelorn Forest I believe.
You can also put an Engineer in Gelt's army for the final slot.
You're now 1 big ratty down and only a billion more to go when the Vermintide hits lol
And yea I don't really think that Bombardment is really worth it except in sieges where you can funnel your enemy if they're attacking or they're holding positions on the defence.
Would be much more useful to spend the Schematics on upgrading your units instead or just getting new ones.

Feel like there are a couple of cheapish schematic upgrades for both steam tanks and outriders that could be useful.
Would also love to see an army of just landships, steamtanks and warwagons as a mobile artillery platoon.

i might suggest a second empire captain for gelts army, just to create a duo that will be able to take on any stronger legendary lords you might face with gelt's army, otherwise your empire captain will be succeptable to being killed

The full wizard doom stack actually can end up with infinite mana (more or less) but it requires A LOT of micromanagement.
