I listen to Deicide mainly because of Steve Asheim's drumming. RESPECT to his musicianship. ... and to all those who comments on Santolla's or Owen's guitar performance - first try to achieve at least what they achieved and then comment.
They are ass compared to the Hoffmans. Check my page. I know wtf I'm taking about. They play great rhythm guitar, and Santolla is a great player. But they don't capture that raw feel or tone of the real deicide?! And Owen is just Garbage on lead guitar. He was awesome in corpse style but he butchers deicide leads. That's a fact. He plays way too bluesy and it's trash. I would rather hear no solo than him disrespecting such great lead work by Eric and brain Hoffman. True death metal greats.

Still have this DVD somewhere, such a sick Deicide lineup. The Stench Of Redemption is their best record as far as technicality goes, they still haven't topped it. I remember hearing it when it first came out, was blown away, was hard to believe it was Deicide. Dropping the Hoffman's for Jack and Ralph was badass, instantly changed the band for the better.
