Interesting all these foreigners here acting like medial professionals and commenting on our Princess Josephine as if she is some raving lunatic. She is a 13 year old teenager and to us there was nothing not normal about her. We are not British and our royals are certainly not British either so stop comparing our royal family to them. If she does happen to have any issues, I can assure you that in Denmark this would be nowhere near a scandal or anything of the sort. In fact, she and her family would be surrounded by heartfelt sympathy and support. The Queen’s late husband’s behaviour became rather erratic during the last years of his life, and there was a fair amount of criticism directed towards him because of it. However, when it became known that he was suffering from dementia which was the cause of his erratic behavior, all criticism stopped at once and a wave of sympathy and support surged towards the Queen and the family in support. Concern and support, not the criticism, negativity, and condescending comments as expressed in this thread.

@julianneheindorf yes, I remember re. Prince Henrik. How he said things and acted in ways that seemed bizarre, shocking, hurtful and disrespectful to the monarchy and especially to the monarch- his own _wife._ And how people at first thought he was just his usual self, only rudely more so (remember the "riding on a unicorn" portrait, or the juicy poetry?) But then when the diagnosis was made public, OF COURSE people were (more) understanding. So, in this case, if there _is_ a diagnosis, that better be shared with the public in appropriate ways, too. And THEN the public surely will be understanding and it's no big deal. Emphasis on, "then". Yes, there are things that one would rather not talk about. But as a royal/public persona, other rules apply. Princess Catherine would probably not have discussed her pregnancy discomforts with everybody and his wife; or Princess Mette-Marit would not have wished to talk about her lung issues, either. But as these things interfered with their duties, privacy had to take a back seat. 🤷 That's the back side of the royal coin. One of them. 🤷

Most people view "non-conformative" behavior as "bad behavior". As a special needs parent who has a special needs son with 16 different medical conditions, this is far from the truth. Easy diagnosis for some, again, far from the truth. This is just our own family.
I wldnt go to regard it as simply "bad" behaviour... but more accurately as "deviant" behaviour... based on generally accepted norms/observations for a particular age grp...
There is nothing rebellious here. She seems to be acting as her dear self, as she has shown for some time. Her lack of animation, or even apathy, is not rare for her if you look at other videos. Her privacy must be protected, regardless of why she responds the way she does. Dear Josephine -- you are who God made you to be within your glorious and accomplished family. You are God's gift to your family!
Princess Josephine Shes nice but she still young and sweet Looks very sweet to her father King Frederick 2 times She lean in her Fsthers arms , king Frederick hold his arms around her , so Sweet teenage girl so sweet 🙏👍
Hummmmmm... Something wrong with her behaviour. At this age this type of behavior is not acceptable. It has certainly deserved all the attention of the parents, and if there is a problem, they will and will do everything to help, but it is on these occasions, more formal and public, when assertive intervention on the part of the parents is more difficult, in order to not attract the public's attention but... Hmmmmmm, there's something here!
As a parent of an adult autistic person, I do recognise little "flickerings" of that there. Also in how her different family members are trying to "contain" her; it is as if they know they have to "watch" and guide her. But, hopefully it is not true.
Hi @ncard00, I am not in your shoes, so, for you, I cannot tell. I am surely also not going to apologise for saying what I did. I know very well that there are so many challenges for most of the people who have this condition. And yes, even if the maladjustment is with society, as you stated, it still is a challenge, nonetheless, one that one would most probably not choose if you have a say in the matter right from the start. But if it is, it IS ... and then one has to deal with reality, pussyfooting around it, in my opinion, helps no-one. In our case, I as a parent have made the adjustments that were possible and necessary and yes, that has also asked from me to sacrifice my career (no blame, just a fact) in order to chaperone my child through this world as best as I can. What I also meant, is that if a person with autism is in a family which is constantly in the public eye, it might (it might also not) add to the already existing challenges: For the parents as well as for the siblings, as well as for the actual autistic child as well. I have lived through this in many shades of the situation over many decades and I do know what I am talking about in the case of my own family. Of course cannot and dare not speak on the behalf of any other individual or family. I just know it is not easy and as you suggested, society around us is not always receptive and clued up enough to make this an easy ride. Pity. At the same time, should this be true for the young princess, it might open up an opportunity to create an awareness and educate society to a better understanding and dealing with the condition and people who are wired that way. I have had T-shirts made for our family member (and for us all) stating: "Autism is my condition. Let ignorance not be yours!" It made many things much easier and less awkward for when my child was younger, especially. In fact, this family member of ours has a career which I have to facilitate, we are a happily integrated family. It did not happen by itself, though, it was a conscious decision to make it happen and to work for it. This might be a major sensitivity or area for concern for the young princess's life and development, should she indeed have this condition, when her parents and siblings are highly obligated to other jobs, plights and responsibilities, and if there is not informed able and loving assistance on hand at all times. You should know that change and instability is not ideal for most living with autism. Especially at this vulnerable stage of development of the turbulent teens. I know what I am talking about. Hope you understand my observation a bit better, that you might want to agree that it came from a place of experience, care, sincere concern and a deep hope that they will all be OK in this. I do believe so. For what it is worth, this kind of situation very often plays a curveball or two on relationships and marriages. It is not easy for all kinds of personalities to deal with this road, which is a slight orientation apart from the normal route. I wish you joy and happiness! Thank you for engaging in this interesting and I believe, necessary, conversation.
Autism, PDDNOS, AD(H)D etc. if those what you are referring to, are a spectrum. You can have a few mild traits, or you can be completely non verbal and non functional. She would be a 'light' case, if there is anything wrong with her at all. Might just be her personality and poking fun at these kinds of events.
@@emmajones8590 I so totally know this; I often do radio talks on this, or talk to new parents discovering their child to be on the spectrum, etc. Wherever you happen to be diagnosed on this spectrum, it still is a condition recognised as xyz. My best conclusion on this remains: When you have met ONE autistic person, you have met only that ONE. No single blueprint replica of a person on this spectrum exists. To claim knowledge and insight is only ever partially possible.
@@nsyncnsync6729 Yes, she is. They are often a bit surly. Leave her alone. This appearance in front of the world couldn't have been easy for those kids.
Do you really think, that Princess Josephine is autistic? Imagine she really have that diagnosis, then her parents would have take action many years ago. She is teenager, and became deeply touched by the massive crowd of people under her. She are student in a common school, and nothing indicates, that she is having autism.
Hmm? I have watched her several times. The repetitive hand flapping is concerning, as well as the extremely nervous head movements. Could there be some autism and/or ADHD there? I don't know. It also makes me wonder if there is some kind of neurological distress that her father has dealt with through the years. He exhibits subtle signs. Not diagnosing, just speculating.
@@MarciaWilson-hq9ii I was not being negative, but concerned. I am basing my observations on things I have seen in my own family circle over many years.
I agree, I noticed her behavior immediately. Something just seems to be "off" with that girl. Princess Charlotte and Prince George have the decorum or royal children. Prince Louis has age appropriate behavior, but this girl either has a problem or she's a huge brat and good luck trying to tame her! In some clips it appeared that her elder sister and brother were trying to pull her back. I'm certain that the King and Queen will get her all the help she needs if that turns out to be the case. And I do not feel you were being "negative" in your comments, I felt you were making an honest observation.
@@Mary-mh2ix Thank you for your feedback, Mary. I too saw her older siblings helping with her. Also, there could be more than one thing going on. It's confusing because she does act like a brat at times. Being in the spotlight all the time doesn't help. IMO, her father seems either terrified, or afraid of taking on the role of king, but is totally caught. Mary is so pulled together, and will continue to be a source of strength to all of them, as they take on all their new responsibilities. Thanks again for replying.
I think from what I read on the threads that there s still a lot of stigma around ASD. The family seem to be very protective towards her and it s beautiful to see :)
I feel Josephine has something wrong with her -- thus the reason her dad had his arm around her when coming onto the balcony. I feel it is ADHD or something like that. She is 13 or 14 -- but she has been trained in being in the public -- there is just something not quite right about her behaviour.
Exactly... i looked at it quite closely as well and cant help but think along the same train of thought... she is already 13 and yet relentlessly restless and cant keep still for a moment, unlike her twin Vincent.
@@nsyncnsync6729 No...just a regular teen. Danish, Norwegian and Swedish royals aren't required to be "prim and proper" like the British ones. You can find them on the bus, in the grocery shop, or even doing regular workplace internships and jobs.
She is 13 - it's a difficult age to be in front of thousands and thousands of people. Nothing to do with autism. Her parents were clearly giving her their support here - the kid doesn't need labels.
There is nothing wrong with her! Stop trying to label kids just because they act out sometimes! For all you know it could just have been nerves that made her act out!
I was wondering if she was experiencing one of her first periods and in some pain. She was dressed in black which could also contribute to my theory. That her dad and mum showed special care to her also showed their understanding. I feel sorry for her...only about 12 per year for the next 30 or 40 years Jo. Lots of love little mate.❤
@@nsyncnsync6729 You either like that kind of a function or you don't. Or you tolerate it. Queen Elizabeth's father was horrified to become king. He was intensely shy with a speech impediment. It's said that the stress killed him. Some princesses like Diana and Victoria, end up depressed and with eating disorders. Other princesses and queen consorts flourish.
To me she seems to be a sweetheart. Maybe she has a mental or developmental disorder. So what?! Look at her hugging her dad or the friend. These are signs of kindness. She is different, yes. But she is also one of God’s children. And she‘s a much loved member of the Danish Royal family. Who are we to judge a 13 year old girl?
Well, she is normal whether she has special needs or not. Thankfully folks get the proper ongoing help and get on with life these days with all manner of challenges people have. No stigma attached in quarters that matter.
I found her antics rude as a thirteen year old she should know better. Compared to Princess Charlotte of England as an 8 year old she knows how to conduct herself in the public arena Josephine is not a five year old. She came across as a very spoilt child.
Which is why many here are thinking ADHD... or even perhaps bipolar... autism... Because when one looks closely, her face shows she does not seem to be present in the situation... nor... for a 13 yo... seem to have a better grasp of what is going on at the very moment... compared to her twin and not so older siblings.
I find her so cute. In today's world most 13 yr old who have tiktoks, bf and wearing revealing clothes and disrespecting parents she was being normal 13 yr old which reminds me of my time
At thirteen, she should know better; her dad whispered something her brother Christian put his hand on her back as to calm her down.. Her twin brother's behavior was impeccable. Cute when you're a child...

I wldnt go to regard it as simply "bad" behaviour... but more accurately as "deviant" behaviour... based on generally accepted norms/observations for a particular age grp...
Adorable!
She's royalty and she knows it.
Totally refreshing
I find her delightful , lovely looking like her Mother , Vincent like his Dad , probably in the shadow of his lively twin!
Not rebel, just a happy free spirit.
rebel
Princess Josephine Shes nice but she still young and sweet Looks very sweet to her father King Frederick 2 times She lean in her Fsthers arms , king Frederick hold his arms around her , so Sweet teenage girl so sweet 🙏👍
King Frederik... not with a C
Es una niña de apenas 13 años . Esta muy emocionada por ver a sus padres que son Reyes
Es muy orgullosa igual a su madre. No me gusta esta chica.
At 13 she’s hardly a little child. She totally disrespected the occasion and her parents.
GBU there is nothing wrong with her she's young she's beautiful. and enjoying her to the full luv u luvu my darling princess Josephine 🌹❤️
She is going to be a hand full, good on her being herself.
No she is not... alle 4 siblings are very Close
LEAVE OUR princess alone.. there is nothing wrong with he
Children are children especially when hormones hit, I mean it does things to the body, mind and emotions no matter their social status amongst society
She’s a handful!!
Dad had her FIRMLY in his grip!
I don't think a normal 13 year old girl acts like that
NO SHE IS NOT... stop is... leave our princess alone
Shes not a brat. It s obvious something else is going on
Noticed that too!!!!
It's called being a teenager 😂😂😂
Just by the way, as you might have picked up, English is not my mother tongue, so, it is not always easy to express myself correctly.
@@taniadutoit5982 You did a wonderful job.
The older sister..yeet...😂😂😂
She is a happy kid. Normal for her age.
She's not a normal 13 year old.
@@nsyncnsync6729 Yes, she is. They are often a bit surly. Leave her alone. This appearance in front of the world couldn't have been easy for those kids.
Seriously do you think she is normal?
She is just a jolly kid.
Always somebody adding negative comments she's a normal teenager who happens to be royal
I would agree with your comment. She needs to be diagnosed asap .
Trres spontanée !! ❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂
I think from what I read on the threads that there s still a lot of stigma around ASD. The family seem to be very protective towards her and it s beautiful to see :)
Bs. She is a NORMAL child
Bubly cutie. ❤
no cutie autism
I like her 😊
Wish theyd just leave all Royal Choldren alone
LEAVE THE CHILDREN ALONE AND DON'T EXPLOIT THEM for your videos, STOP IT🎃🤖🙄🚒
I feel Josephine has something wrong with her -- thus the reason her dad had his arm around her when coming onto the balcony.
Agree...autism
She is so cute
Charming.
Princess Josephine more like her dad. She his princess
احلى شي الحريه ❤❤❤
مش انك اميره يعني ما في حريه 😊
I like this video ... the king with the family
Какую ерунду пишите...девочка с психическими отлонениями и надо это признать...
Royal rebel?? I only see a child being a child
Qué bonica es la princesa! Quina dolçor!!
Lovely😊
I was wondering if she was experiencing one of her first periods and in some pain. She was dressed in black which could also contribute to my theory. That her dad and mum showed special care to her also showed their understanding. I feel sorry for her...only about 12 per year for the next 30 or 40 years Jo. Lots of love little mate.❤
It took you long to write this nonsense??
She seems to be the Danish equivalent of UK's Prince Louie...
Only she's 13 not 3!
Call Supernanny
Lovely!! 🎉🎉
Such a Capricorn!!! God bless her!!!❤
Ternura de niña!!!!!!
Well, she is normal whether she has special needs or not. Thankfully folks get the proper ongoing help and get on with life these days with all manner of challenges people have. No stigma attached in quarters that matter.
She's just a wacky teenager...Danish and other Scandinavian royals aren't "prime and proper" like English royalty.
@@MuantanamoMobile thank goodness 😊
Beautiful spirit. ❤
I got the impression that she was being subtly sarcastic. Found it all very much overdone.
Si si forma de actuar es siempre muy sarcastica
Fully agree with you
❤Jste fain LIDI pro nás všechny LIDI 🎉Thank you Very mutch 🎉
She’s feeling cold .
Josefhine signos THDA 😮
"Queen Mary's daughter"?? As far as I know, she's Prince Frederik's daughter too.
KING Frederik... before that CROWN PRINCE FRederik
CONGRATULATIONS
I found her antics rude as a thirteen year old she should know better. Compared to Princess Charlotte of England as an 8 year old she knows how to conduct herself in the public arena Josephine is not a five year old. She came across as a very spoilt child.
Agree! My daughter is also 13 y old and would never behave like that in public.
13 is very different to 8. Charlotte may behave the same way when she's older and the hormones kick in.
The total lack of awareness, understanding and insight is astounding.
I feel like the title is placing blame solely on Mary for her behavior. She has 2 parents, don't act like it is the mom who is to blame.
Know better? than to act of out line with what YOU consider appropriate? 😅
Leave the kid alone!
