Removing a stuck Singer Featherweight or 301 bobbin case

How to remove a stuck featherweight or 301 bobbin case and a possible reason they get stuck in the first place.
Annotations (since UA-cam is removing them):
1:05: To do this maintenance. For regular maintenance, the throat plate should come off for cleaning and oiling.
5:03: Or take the tension spring off before attempting this. Then there's no risk of damage to the spring.
