I happened to see one of them just tethered in a field while driving through Indiana. Or I think it was tethered. It was too far to see the cable, but it was just floating in one spot.
Did they fly the Europe one to Europe, or did they make it there? It'd be interesting if they transported it. I can't imagine a transatlantic flight on that thing would be too enjoyable, haha. Maybe it's bigger on the inside™ (i.e. passenger compartment "hidden" in the body of the aircraft). But at least it's not going to burst into flame like other unnamed Atlantic-crossing dirigibles I guess!
Think you will find that the current Goodyear Airships are made in Germany by Zeplin NT. The American Goodyear which came over in the seventies and into the eighties was shipped over by boat and inflated at Cardington to the North of London
Why do you say this as if you're annoyed that everyone doesn't instantly know all this for themselves by merely glancing at those giant goodyear floaty balloony fly'y thingys
Can I just say how much I admire your unabashed passion for blimps?
blimpkin
Best TED Talk I've been to all year.
LOL!
I dont know what was in your coffee today, or what recent thought journey you’ve been on, but this factoid on blimps is something special
This is Alex when asked "what's your favorite type of aircraft?" a true blimp enthusiast
November One Alpha ....was "Europa" back in the seventies
I saw it once. In the nineties it floated over my home town of Tamaqua Pa while I was out with my Aunt and Uncle doing yard work.

I...I'm...I'm going to have to process what I'm hearing for a while.
I saw the Airships about 6-9 and I will cherish those memories

@@frostyfrost4094 The Europa was flown over in a cargo plane, or at least most of it was, far as l know.
"awfully bold of you to fly the Good Year blimp on a year that has been extremely bad thus far"
You need to find a way to hitch a ride on one of them!
SKY WHALE
So it is half zepplin, half blimp.
My whole life's been a lie!
