To the people running this . Thank you from the bottom of my heart, your special. Me personally I’m on MAT - methadone , some believe that means I’m still active addict and I don’t argue with anyone but I’m not using any illicit drugs and im not doing why criminal things , I’m working and I’m trying to eat healthier , I’m only on 40 mls , so it has done me good. I tell you now every single person who makes a real effort to get off off drugs and alcohol and become sober is a hero because it’s so so so hard
Hiya.dont rush things mate 40ml of meth is a nice dose to stabilise on and you are doing amazing.dont listen to others it's your recovery and not a race.my advice to you would be tapper down very slowly and when you are ready!(I was addicted to heroin and crack for 28 years and have been absent now for 3 years)
Thats so beautiful what you lot are doing up there for the lost, and their families... its awe inspiring.. keep it up Glasgow, love from England 🏴 ❤🎉
Govan man here living in Brisbane Australia, been watching Streets on UA-cam for a while , just to say all love and respect to all involved in trying to help with people in addiction, more power to your elbow❤
Good luck to every single one of you , you are as human and as beautiful as everyone else , we are all humans , some go you think. I one cares, well I do!! God bless
Great video lads. Seems like it was a powerful day, part memorial and part celebration of making it through to the otherside and taking your life back.
Good on yous all man really enjoy these and hopefully the message gets across to people that there not alone in any shape of form and that there welcome when the times ready for themselves that they are wanted and are loved and to not give up man Addiction we are all addicted in some shape of form But need to remember we are all the same at the end of the day Good to see that folk are getting help but these places need help aswell and the tax payer of this country would like to see more of there taxes helping out on stuff like this Wee rant there but sick to the back bone just seeing folk overlooked man just because there deemed not important Am slowly on my path man changed lifestyle choices but still get that voice in the head but am no listening to that and when im fully mentally intact and no vulnerable a wouldn’t mind helping in some shape of form in regards to volunteering man or something but A enjoy watching from afar just now man ❤
Beautiful message man, in similar, I’m on maintenance but I’m settle out and doing well if you know what I mean , haven’t touched another things for over 2 years and I do really love these sorts of things they make me feel that there’s hope and I do want to help ppl I really do but I’m just nervous of how to or if I’m really good enough to. Dont know if your feeling similar or not but anyways I just wanted to say good on you for trying to change for the better and stick In there . One thing o have definitely changed in my way of thinking is what I’m doing now , for example ppl think nothing of disagreeing and arguing with a stranger on social media but they don’t think of reaching out and saying good stuff and I get it that it isn’t easy to do for many, guys especially but I just decided I want ppl to know someone’s proud , someone hears then , someone cares, worst can happen is I get told to F off. Anyways I wish you a great day pal
Gutted a missed this I would’ve been there for all my troops that didn’t make it man glad yous are out doing this keep up the good work, still waiting to hear from yous about how I can help
Good stuff big man. It would be good if you could organise a wee mob to pick up all the needles under the bridge. I would volunteer maybe the exchange would give you some sin bins
I lost my amazing friend at 31 years old ( 8 years ago) to alcohol, i would also drive yo Phoenix most weekends sadly he relapsed and his tolerance levels were not like they were ….i remember a big recovery walk at Strathclyde park I went to with him
I was on the gear for 30 years lost my lower leg because of it im just so lucky i never landed on the streets nothing but respect for all of you getting clean
I saw one of ur videos where they can go into a hostel and play music and do gym workouts look for a job do a course. These things have always been available.. How does learning music cure drug addicts. Pop stars were the biggest drug addicts out and they played musical instruments. Help with jobs,a lot of these people are unemployable and even if they were a lot of the jobs are at the low end of th job market, they would work to clear their rent and get bullied by bosses and work colleagues and on top of their rent would have to pay the travelling expenses back to work. Courses would be chasing paper certificates..These things have never worked they have always been there these sources.and the 12 step programme has a 5% success rate
@@meekomania205 sorry you feel this way mate negativity is horrible these things are in place for the homeless and the addicted to get them off the street and in a more secure and fun filled environment as for the 12 step programme that’s saved our lives and we owe it to that
Not an addict but have done cold water therapy for four years with improved physical and mental health. If someone hadnt recommended it to me, i wouldnt have known, even though the water has always been there.
