- गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा है कि लोकसभा चुनाव से पहले देश में सिटीजनशिप अमेंडमेंट एक्ट (CAA) लागू हो जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि CAA देश का एक्ट है, इसे हम यकीनन नोटिफाई करेंगे। इसे चुनाव से पहले नोटिफाई किया जाएगा और चुनाव से पहले इसे लागू भी किया जाएगा। इसे लेकर कोई कंफ्यूजन नहीं होना चाहिए। अमित शाह ने ET नाउ-ग्लोबल बिजनेस समिट में ये बातें कहीं। उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस सरकार ने CAA लागू करने का वादा किया था। जब कई देशों में अल्पसंख्यक लोगों पर अत्याचार हो रहे थे, तो कांग्रेस ने रिफ्यूजियों को भरोसा दिलाया था कि वे भारत आ सकते हैं। उन्हें यहां की नागरिकता दी जाएगी। लेकिन, अब कांग्रेस अपनी बात से मुकर रही है।
