You have really good looking feet! I wish I could smell them
YES YES YES. This is exactly why ive been wearing crocs for years now. I wore sandals for many years before that because shoe designers with their "arch support" soles ended up fuckign up my ankles too. Once I started walking on flat sole sandals every day, all my ankle problems went away, but i also noticed my toes were spread out properly and all my weird toe problems went away as well, from ingrown nails to painfully squished toes. But i would stub my toes sometimes in sandals and it would really suck. So i started wearing crocs when i noticed they had this actually intelligent Toe shape. and the best added bonus is that crocs just like rubber sandals can be washed constantly, you can just take them in the shower. and that has resulted in a massive reduction of bacteria in my shoes which completely ended a chronic athletes foot problem i had ever since i was a child. I havent had athletes foot is many many years now all because I can simply wash out my shoes whenever i want.
Crocs are hands down the best shoes on this planet from an objectively intelligent perspective. the only real problem fashion wise is the conspicuous holes on the top of the crocs. If the company just put a thing mesh over the top of the shoe to hide the holes in the rubber, these shoes would be perfectly acceptable to basic modern fashion. Especially if you buy the style crocs ive been buying called: Off-Court style. take a look at them they look more like normal classic shoes. I absolutely love love love them. Gimme a thin mesh on the top to hide those unsightly croc holes, and i am a customer for LIFE
I advise you to search the Internet for types of feet
@@abdulaz1z899
"The Egyptian foot is characterized by a first toe that is larger than the others. It is the most common foot type, occurring in 50.8% of the population
The Greek foot, which is characterized by a 2ᵉ toe that is larger than the others. It is found in 40.2% of the population
The square foot or Roman foot where the first 4 toes are aligned. It is present in 9% of the population"
in all cases the croc design makes more sense because while a greek foot can fit reasonably well int eh croc design, the egyptian foot (50% of feet) dont fit as easily in to the standard shoe because the standard shoe is still pointed toward the outer edge of the foot even compared to the Greek foot. and the roman foot it makes basically no difference at all.
Therefore the croc design makes the most sense.

The impacts of Meta have and will continue to benefit ordinary people in a lot of ways. For example, the data they collect and process is used by companies to improve productivity/efficiency, by better identifying and targeting consumer needs. Data is valuable for a reason. Companies use data to increase profits and deliver more value to consumers/clients.
Have you ever considered how/why it is that when you use a search engine, you’re able to quickly find what you’re looking for? Or how your GPS app is able to give you efficient routes?
Nearly every facet of modern society is impacted by the valuable information embedded in data, directly or indirectly, as is the case with technology. I wouldn't recommend Crocs for running or intensive workouts, but they're good for going on casual walks (not high-intensive/long-distance) or if you want a shoe that works as a slipper for going out in a backyard/garden-work, an alternative to flip-flops, and/or lounge-wear. People like the shoe because it's about function over form, and because not everyone cares about what's popular/trendy - if a shoe is comfortable and helps people get around, then it's all the more power to wear it. ^^

At least if the guide on the bottom of my shoes is to be believed) and they are not only naturally wide (thanks grandma's genes) but since I don't wear closed shoes often, they're not crammed in that odd shape people get from wearing shoes too often.
Finding shoes that fit comfortably and are affordable is one hell of a nightmare. Unless it's a formal setting, I'm happy with my flip flops, thanks.
@@gabrielabatista6016 if you need a summer shoe, why not just buy moccasins?
they will stretch, also comes with the benefits of not getting pebbles inside, being able to run if needed and not making a stupid flipping noise. flip-flops are beach/indoors shoes, period.
People don't all have the same feet. My big toe isn't the biggest toe it's the second one.
I have never, ever in my life heard someone call Crocs "idiot shoes".
Ugly AF though
Even a decade ago, I have known people who say things like "you look stupid if you wear Crocs", and to this day some people hate on Crocs to the point where they won't be friends with people who wear them. People are a LOT more accepting of them today, but there are still a lot of Croc haters.
@@834kolping Agreed, my slipper Crocs literally save my feet weekly lmao

I wear crocs at the airport idgaf
I’ve noticed that wearing good boots 70% of the time is a good alternative. Sucks into summer, but a good alternative. Least my toes ain’t cramped and weird.
as someone who has a certain disability that also makes parts like my feet really uncomfortable when wearing tight stuff, i love wearing crocs as i can happily not wear socks without my feet smelling of shit or getting pimples
You gotta watch out on those rainy days. They get slick 😭
Snow is the worst 😂 I wish they made plugs for the front and side holes.
Yeah there really slippery yet people someone live and die for some $2 rubber shoes that yall believe cures cancer 🙄
Nah, Whenever water gets in my Crocs it feels like I'm littlerly becoming Jesus himself and I'm walking on water
I got nonslip work ones. They're waterproof and i work outside in Oregon. I don't care what people think about my dumb shoes but it's crazy how much they care, like anyone who cares that much is crazy
@@lrgpapi no one thinks that. you are delusional.
I wore croc bistros to work when I worked as a kitchen hand .. honestly slip resistant and I could come home at the end of my shift and chuck them in the shower and scrub them. You can’t do that with any other shoe .. they are super safe and hygienic in the kitchen environment. Would recommend them to anyone in hospitality that’s aloud to wear clogs.
Yup, i know someone who worked in a kitchen and swore by crocs. At first i was confused until i realized he wore ones without holes in the top 😂
They don't have the support for a normal shift for many people. Spend the quality money on a good pair of shoes, your future self will appreciate you more than you know
“Allowed”
We were required to wear hole free crocs in culinary school. Super comfy 😂
@@texaskeeton1772the old basic crocs maybe don't, but if you look into what croc actually has to offer nowadays, you'll notice there's tons of different ones, including ones that better support your feet and will allow you to properly work in them. Heck they even have running shoes! I have them cause I wanted some nice shoes for the summer that I could wear without socks. They're great and totally worth the money
Edit: I just looked it up, there are even ones specifically made for working

My big toe isn’t my longest toe. I have a Morton’s toe
I'm 25 and have plantar fascitis in both of my feet. It got so bad I could barely walk. I went to a podiatrist who initially said I should buy a pair of Brooks. When I told him that those were out of budget for me and I desperately needed relief, he said "As ugly as they are, Crocs have great support, and can provide you some relief while you save up for Brooks." The first day I put them on, I was significantly better. Now I alternate with my Crocs and my Brooks.
Ive never heard of Brooks but I also have plantar fascitis, and Crocs are a godsend so maybe I should try Brooks.
@@doge_time420vrbrooks are awesome, I used to own a pair and they were some of the most supportive and comfy shoes I’ve worn
great
Fr fr I've had people tell me crocs are so bad for your back and have no support but they're the only thing i can wear
I know Birkenstocks are pricey but I invested in a pair for my plantars and it has wiped out the pain.
Foot shapes are different. Some people have their SECOND toe longer than the "big" toe. For those of us with short big toes, "standard" shoes with rounded, elongated or pointy toe box are actually comfier and easier to size, whereas the "anatomical" shoes with a toe box shaped for a longer big toe (asymmetric) - either make our longest second toe curl under, or feel stupidly oversized even 0.5 size up. So... it isn't about the "design flaws" - it is about finding the toe box SHAPE that is fits YOUR foot shape best :)
💯 My big toe and the next 3 toes are all the same height, then my pinky toes suddenly drop off about a full inch shorter. They don’t progressively get shorter like normal 😂
Yup, Greek-foot-person here as well: Nobody makes shoes for our foottype.
@@courtneyr6645 You must be a great ballet-dancer!
Conventional shoes are still way too narrow for your toes. And by the way, minimalist shoes come in different shapes as well, you can very much get foot shaped shoes that are right for you, even if you don't have dominant big toes. On top of that, they have many other advantages.
TIL feet are different shapes, I have the first three toes the same size, and then they slide back.

Me:”idc I’m still wearing crocs”
As someone who works long hours in the hospitals, crocs are lifesavers. Feet swell when you stand for long periods and hurt if you are wearing closed shoes. Crocs are loose and easy to take off hence very comfortable.
I remember when I got my first pair back when I was little, my dentist asked me where I got them because she'd never seen them, and loved the fun colours they came in! I'd say about half of the dentists I've seen wear them. Soft but not too squishy, enough room for standing a lot, and super easy to clean. That was the best part as a kid, instead of having to throw my shoes in the washing machine, or try and scrub them by hand, you just stick them under a hose and they're clean.
Yes, some people do just "get bunions." I was born with a hereditary disposition and had my first bunion surgery at 11-years-old. Thanks mom!
Thank you was gonna say this myself! I was born with bunions also and had my surgery when I was 16 or 17.. lol my mother also passed it on to me 😂
I’m sure wearing conventional shoes didn’t help with the development of said bunions

Crocs + soft socks = most comfortable shoe experience there is
I actually used to have a pair that were floofy on the inside, kinda like a soft sock. 10/10 would recommend
I love my crocs and wear them literally everyday now because they are the comfiest shoes I’ve ever owned. They somehow keep my feet dryer in the rain than my trainers and other shoes but they’re also breathable in the summer, can’t beat em.
Buying wide fit solves this problem for me cause then my toes have room to move, not to mention I can stub my toe while wearing shoes and it not really hurt. I still recommend crocs for stuff like summertime or when you need a quick convenient shoe/slipper type deal as they’re decently comfy and do what they’re intended for.
I remember walking with my friends in Manhattan for like 10 hours in vans, my feet were absolutely killing me. The second I slipped my crocs on, most of the pain when I'd stand or walk was gone. They're a miracle of shoe design.

@@Piinkypanter OMG, how did I not know about papoutsis!? Thank you!
Do you know if there is a free pattern available? I'm wondering if I can make some out of washable paper...
@@Piinkypanter I have almost the opposite problem, lol. I have gone through a few pairs of Xero sandals, and they usually have a bit too much toe box and are slightly too wide in the side connection points. The thong hole is also just slightly not right on the non-DIY models.
This year I finally decided to try out their original DIY kit where you cut out your own custom shape from Vibram boot sole material and they are the best sandals I've ever worn. I slowly trimmed them down to be just the right size, and they only weigh about 88g each.
I must have been their last customer for those kits, though. I was browsing their site yesterday and noticed that the only DIY option is their partially-done "feel-true" soles where you only have to trim the front down and punch the thong hole.
Some comfortable shoes that I could recommend are ASICS Gel Excite 10. With the wide toe box, Gel foam, and Orhtolite insoles, they’re literally perfect as an everyday shoe and a running shoe.
Everywhere I've worked in animal care (vets, daycares and shelters) considers Crocs to be a huge boon for us. They're durable, they can come off easy if an animal latches on your foot, they're breathable and extremely easy to clean. There was a time where the daycare I worked at, every single person including managers had a pair of Crocs, they're just THAT helpful for us.
Before Crocs was a "Thing", years ago I had a pair in every color and wore them once I arrived at Work at a Healthcare Facility. Crocs were the most comfortable option for briefly walking around and sitting for extensive periods of time. Crocs were only $5, hanging on racks at the time. Now they sell for $50+☹️
My girlfriend has always loved then and wore them for years she also works in the medical field. They're very practical, decent shoe in my opinion.
@@Calico-fw6li Absolutely! They're also made to fit the true shape of the Foot, with Toes in mind.
Kinda like New Balance. Used to be my top choice of runners because they have a lot of running shoes that have enough room for wide footers like me. I could also afford to get a new pair every few months since they’re very affordable specially on clearance. Now all the hype thanks to the “influencers” drove the prices up yet even those who used to laugh at me for using “dad shoes” think they’re so chic they now have at least a pair or two.

I thought this was gonna be about how crocs are originally from the movie ‘idiocracy’
This is why I only wear my work boots and crocs, that’s it, nothing else
Back in the '70s they had these shoes called Earth Shoes. The toe box was shaped like the Crocs and the toes were higher off the ground than the heel. They sole was thickest near the ball of the foot and you would kind of rock in them when you walked. My Sister had a pair.
Didn't sketcher's design something slightly similar? 🤔
My podiatrist recommended crocs for recovery after surgery. They have arch support and lots of room for swelling. I still had to wear two sizes but I saved the larger ones for when the other foot gets done.
My surgeon recommended oofos BUT crocs were cuter and cheaper. Now I wear them all the time and my foot surgery was 2 years ago
Arch support is like wearing a corset to keep your back upright. Sure, your back is technically straight, but you’re not exercising your natural ability to keep it straight. The arch in your foot is the result of a collection of muscles in your foot giving you suspension; by putting a bump under it, you’re preventing it from moving as it should, and preventing your muscles from working as they should. Like a corset, it might be necessary after a surgery, though.
@whengrapespop5728 that's great for you since you have no feet problems. You have made a lot of assuptions. I tried barefoot shoes and I still wear them in my yard abd a few other situations. If I wear them to do yard work I get foot cramps, neuroma pain, and charlie horses. Mowing is too much pushing on the ball of my foot. No amount of training my feet (decades of yoga, indoor climbing, barefoot hiking in maritime forrest, SUP, barefoot for weight training when at the climbing gym wgere uts ok other gyms prefer people wear shoes for safety) has changed that. I only wear traditional shoes for work in kitchens or concrete floors and mountous hiking since I don't have enough calouses to barefoot hike on rocky mountain trails. I wear minimal shoes on office days. The arch supports are nessisary when I get foit cramps or charlie horse. It means the muscles need a break. Even my garmin can tell by my hrv. It always says I'm poorly ready for training (which I ignore or there will never be training). My feet are training all the time.
@whengrapespop5728 I seriously hate Crocs, but they have purpose post surgery. The other foot will need to be done at some point, and Im hoping to tine it before I get neuroma in that foot. Right now, it its midfoot instability and bunion.
@@whengrapespop5728 My arches collapsed before I got arch support. I don't believe you.
I have a bunion on both of my feet from shoes, and I have never worn crocs until recently, and it has saved my life and stopped pain in my feet.
