Chick-fil-A spent decades supporting and funding conversion therapy a.k.a. child torture. They have never made any apologies or admitted any wrongdoing, and their owner, Dan Cathy, still helps to support and fund such practices which have been banned for minors in 17 states in the United States.
I think it's important to mention that when giving Chick-fil-A 10 minutes of airtime.

I'm definitely not as informed as someone who has gone through conversion therapy, but I think child torture might be an extreme way of saying it. Regardless, nobody should be getting in the way of an LGBTQIA+ minor.

I once worked at a bar where in one room the bar was in the centre of the room, a big rectangle. The bartender was also the DJ/entertainment in the room. Part of his shtick was to point to the customer and if they were not ready to order then he immediately moved to the next one. You weren't ready you had to wait until he came back to you, if you moved around the bar to get ahead he would skip you until you. Most profitable bar we had at the club when he was tending.

@@damionrockwell2300 Well these are major cases so you'd easily have a partner, a senior lawyer, 2 if not 3 junior lawyers, a paralegal and probably an assistant as a minimum for your legal team. A partner will be $10k a day, a senior lawyer could easily charge $8k a day, juniors lawyers would be $5k, paralegal and assistance would be combined $3k. So that $26k a day just on lawyer fees, which is pretty conservative, I imagine trump would try to get the best and anyone that would be willing to do the work will probably charge a surcharge, so that $26k is more likely $36k. Then you add the fact that it is a rush job so another surcharge, $46k. Then there are disbursements, I imagine they are pulling long days so there will be meals for all provided, as well as travel costs and printing costs would be insane too. 3 meals for 7 people in the city would be $1k a day, travel for 7 people would be another $1k. All in all $50k a day. Times that by 4 trials and you've got $200k without breaking a sweat. The additional $30k could easily be admins fees and court fees.

I hate Trump as much as anyone sane, but this bumper sticker phrase is ridiculous. If I get mugged and the mugger isn't arrested on the spot AND convicted on the spot, does that mean I was denied justice? Or maybe it means that in reality, events take time. It's not that it's being delayed, it's that it's been delayed so damn much.

The "some chicken" line didn't confuse me as someone currently working food service. You'd be amazed at the lack of specifications in people's orders. Working a drive thru is basically playing 20 Questions with people who don't know what ingredients are and would rather scream at you than read the menu.

BTW, just a thought. I wonder... depending on how this trial goes, whether the "judicial mood" will change a bit in the other trials. For instance, once he loses this trial, it would not surprise me that we get a "sudden and decisive" announcement from the supreme court that presidents are not immune to prosecution. And then, that his court dates for the Jan 6th trial and Stolen Documents trial are suddenly moved up, well before the election. It would not surprise me. It's as if the whole DOJ is at a dance and no one wants to be the first on the floor. But once someone goes... they all follow. Not one bit. Disgust me? Yes. Surprise me? No.
As usual, I love the way Seth, through humor, says so much. It's like that old saying, "many a truth is spoken in jest."
