Same thing happened to me and I’ve been surfing for 30+ years. It was night time and raining and I was tired after a shit day at work then driving for two hours. A two foot barrel totally phased me!
@watermusicsolo you really shouldn't apologise for being a beginner. The kind of waves you're after aren't what an advanced surfer is hoping to ride. You can't learn to surf from a book or UA-cam video. You have got to do the hours and take the falls.

Buying waves is novel but only buying them is just a waste of money. Victoria has some beautiful coastline and great beaches.
