Wait, I’m not convinced Nappa would blunder the balancing of martial arts training and studying. He has a degree in child psychology after all, he would be able to see the signs of Gohan being over stressed and redevelop his training or study schedule.
Outlawrockman Jokes aside, I think that after all of the time Nappa spent with his future self, he would understand his own weak point. His mind is simply not up to par. I feel like Chichi should have been the “teacher” for her sons, with Nappa being the “coach”.

YES! I always wanted to see Gohan actually rebel against Chi-Chi. His repressed anger and her upbringing was begging for it the whole time. The thing about Chi-chi is that she both has a point in that Gohan needs an academic future...and is absolutely detrimental to his life at the same time. He needs to be his own person as an adult, and she's completely under-equipping him to do that. There's strictness, and then there's forcing your kid to be something against their will. The fact that she doesn't do that to Goten doesn't help.
"So what's the deal? They're just friends that hang out in one apartment?" "Yeah, basically." "Why are Ross and Rachel not fighting it out to see who's right in this argument about being on a break?" "Humans aren't really like that, Uncle Nappa." "Sounds pretty stupid to me."
He doesn't really have mental issues in this scenario so much as he's fed up with being pressured into being something he might not want to be. That happens to perfectly mentally sound individuals all the time. People who get forced into working a family business when they want to be something like, say, a florist for example. Now Majin Tien and Chiaotzu is definitely a surprise and something I'm looking forward to seeing. Tien with a Majin power-up, at least, would be more than an adequate challenge for at least the low tier fighters in the group.
Can we have a mash-up What If next? What if ALL the Saiyans (Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz) turned Good? I wanna see a veritable cornucopia of Saiyan Hybrids pop up and interact with one another.
Goten, Trunks, and Ranch growing up with a Uncle Nappa, who has a strong sense of contentment with his gardening. Gotta admit, that’d be adorable to see.
Gotta say, I like Nappa, and this story line is fresh and new, but it feels like a lot is more dysfunctional. Rather than Gohan having a strange family relationship triangle between Piccolo and Goku, now we have different issues. Nappa assuming a stepfather role, Gohan is isolating from his mother, and Goku feels like he doesn't really fit in the group anymore. Tien and Chaotzu have gone from barely used to turning to the darkside!
I just imagine that Nappa would just some Saibamen in the backyard whenever he feels like he needs help getting chores done quicker, and when Yamcha visits, he just runs for the hills whenever he sees one of them.
I wonder how the Buu saga will end. Will Fat Buu be redeemed? Who will fuse (Nakarott?)? Who will recieve god training in Super? Who will end Golden Frieza? Who will face Goku Black (Or, maybe Gohan or Nappa Black?)? Who will fight U6? Who will take part in the TOP? In the next episodes of "What-if Nappa turned good"!

*I have an amazing idea!* You said in part 3 that Hercule and Nappa formed some sort of rivalry? Well, I think the perfect way to put it into action and have much more significance is to have Nappa choose to stay behind at the tournament instead chasing after Majin Tien with the other Z-fighters. It's him and Hercule in the final, and Nappa just stands there, Hercules punches not even registering in his nerves. Then he realizes something. "If I win, I can bring the prize money back to Chichi and she'll let me live there again! But... If I lose..." After some pondering, out of nowhere, he allows his body to go limp, pretending that Hercule hit a pressure point or something. Hercule takes this opportunity and tosses him out of bounds, winning the tournament. Chichi wonders why Nappa did this, he answers that he'd rather tell Gohan himself. (He's accepted that Gohan needs to find his own life. Particularly stay with Videl if it means he'll truly be happy. That would be a lot easier if Hercule is still the champ). Since the end of the tournament was when Majin Vegeta showed up and blew up the stands, this would be the perfect chance to take how you've changed Gohan's personality, and introduce *Majin Gohan!* If you were planning on doing most (or possibly all) of this anyway, then in Geekdom's words, I'm a great prognosticator. ;)
*What if Broly (assuming he were canon) were sent to Earth instead of Goku, and was subsequently found by Grandpa Gohan (or some other interesting thing if you think of one).* Basically, Paragus was somehow able to get Broly onto a ship, the desperation of wanting to save his son from King Vegeta's wrath giving him the drive and rage to have the power to fight off any saiyans who tried to shoot the ship down? Could also have the added What-If of Bardock and Gine putting Goku on a ship and firing it off to whatever planet Raditz was on, rather than the direction that eventually took him to Earth, so Goku would grow up with Raditz, Vegeta, and Nappa. But Goku not being on Earth might get rid of Raditz' motivation to go there. But ah! You would be wrong. Broly might tap into his power at some point around the time period of when DBZ began, causing Raditz, Vegeta, Nappa, and Kakarot's scouters to detect a massive reading in that direction. Thankfully, they were on a planet relatively close to the source, so Frieza likely hadn't detected it yet. And somehow, their scouters can register the power level as coming from a saiyan. Naturally, Vegeta would want all Saiyans alive to be in his group (minus Tarble, being weak, and Vegeta being evil at that time). But I'm not saying Broly would have tapped into his full greenish yellow Legendary Super Saiyan power yet. But he would be strong. At the very least, as strong as Nappa, or perhaps Goku in the saiyan saga, with his power level of 9,001. Necessary nerf, we can say he hit his head like Goku did, and that kind of locked his power away (and he doesn't gain it back until the DBZ time through some traumatic experience like Krillin dying at a later point than he did in the main story at the hands of Tambourine, so he's not just blowing away Oolong, Monster Carrot, Yamcha, Ox King, Mercenary Tao, Tien, King Piccolo, etc.) And we could say that he was sent to Earth after Kakarot's crying, but before King Vegeta's stabbing, so Broly could have some inherent mental damage I suppose, making him dislike Kakarot, but not be completely insane like he was in the movies. Also, can Broly marry Suno? I always thought it would have been neat if Goku had found the 4-star ball in Muscle Tower instead of the 1-star ball, and thus didn't have the reason he did to leave Suno's village when they offered him a place to live, since cold climates would be good training somehow probably. And Goku would live with her like a sister but they would eventually grow to love each other and have a red-headed Gohan. But in this case, it would be Broly with her instead.
I had the same idea. Additionnaly, Broly would also be the character known as "Goku" in this timeline, and Raditz's and Kakarot's character could be completely different, having been brothers together since childhood, supporting each other under the bossing of Vegeta and Nappa. However, I do not think Broly would hate Kakarot, as he doesn't suffer from this PTSD, maybe he would just think of the name as familiar. Or at least, make him hate carrots for some reason until it's revealed why.
Love the series, Masako! I have a few suggestions for other What Ifs: What if Gohan never stopped being the Great Saiyaman? What if one of the Saibamen seeds that Nappa planted didn't sprout during the fight with the Saiyans, only to slowly root and grow into a full patch of Saibamen pods years later? Think of it as a planetary infestation of Saiba Pods. What would have happened if Goku never came to Earth in the first place? How do our mortal, human heroes deal with the Red Ribbon Army, the Crane Hermit, King Piccolo, the eventual arrival of Raditz, and someday, the invasion by Frieza and his forces? What if Goku's Saiyan Spacepod crash landed in a major city instead of way out in the wild?
The problem with that is that Dabura is only good while he's in Heaven. He's still evil when he's alive (or if he had been sent to Hell). The only reason King Yemma even sent him there in the first place is because Dabura would have actively enjoyed Hell and would have caused far too much trouble there.
I is human Yemma only did that because if Kid Buu hadn't been reincarnated into Uub, then he would have simply continued his path of destruction in the afterlife and destroyed everything. Goku also specifically wished to fight Buu again as a good guy (though not actually on Shenron or Porunga) so Yemma just used that as an excuse.
I have an awsome idea. What if in April, you do a final part for what if Raditz turned good for the 1 year anniversary. The tournament of power is ending here real soon, so we could finally get to see how this what if would effect the tournament of power
Here is an easy what if story line. "What if Champa was searching for the Super Dragon Balls earlier?" This would awaken Beerus earlier as planets are vanishing left and right in his universe without him doing. Also it would be different as maybe somewhere in the middle of Z would mean Beerus would visit earth earlier looking for the legendary Super Saiyan God to fight for the Super Dragon Balls. The earliest I could think of is.... The Arrival of Goku on earth with Freeza. And no.. Future trunks won't happen. Why? Cause the moment Beerus arrives Freeza and King cold back down. If somewhere later it gets abit awkward but I think the dynamic gets more interresting here. Freeza arrives on earth where as looking at the Z-fighters. Wwhen the fight about to start. Beerus arrives between the groups and looks around. Freeza and King Cold look stunned and afraid. Vegeta takes a moment but then looks in absolute fright who just arrived infront of him. Beerus looks at Freeza and grins. "Well Freeza. I heard you were defeated by a Saiyan. I was hoping you can help me find him." Freeza looks shocked. "My lord Beerus?! What is so interresting about a foolish monkey that got lucky?" Beerus looks annoyed. "I am on a rather tight schedule and I need to know about this Saiyan now. So Freeza... tell me everything or else i will simply have to destroy you." And well the Z-fighters get explained by Vegeta who Beerus is. And are unsure what to do. Before Freeza can answer. Goku lands on earth and gets out. Then quickly joins the group, but is as confused of whats going on with Freeza and Beerus. Goku gets informed then of course... goes to Beerus. "Wow so you are a powerfull god and looking for me. Well I am here." Goku just smiles to Beerus as the God just looks him over. "Well you don't seem like a God to me... but you will do. I need to test your power for something." Goku powers up and Freeza looks absolutely annoyed by this but his Father decides to tell him that maybe Beerus can solve the problem for them. Thus King Cold suggests... "Well why not make the fight more interresting Lord Beerus? Get him really motivated. If Goku fails to meet your expections? Why not destroy his home planet?" Beerus gives a glare to King Cold wich makes the titan looks scared but then Beerus grins. "Eh sure why not? A good motivation goes a long way. infact I dare anyone to take me on while at it. I am abit rusty and I don't see why not." At this moment even the Z-fighters knows what is at risk and Beerus just stands there ready to take them on. Whis however on the side decides to talk to King Cold a little to get more infromation then goes over to Vegeta to get alot more information. Of course he then notices some food Bulma brought with her for Goku's arrival and tries it out. Absolutely delighted. As all the Z-fighters get defeated. Goku tries his last attack on Beerus. A spirit bomb but the god easily shatters it and knocks Goku out. He then turns to Freeza and looks at the tyrant. "Freeza. This saiyan is kind of dissapointing in power. Have you gotten weaker?" Freeza doesn't say a word, but Beerus orders the Tyrant to fight him. Of course Freeza also loses and Beerus looks abit disspleased. "Whis! Where are you?" Whis comes over and hands Beerus some food. "Here Lord Beerus you should try this." Beerus reluctantly does so, but seems pleased with the food. Improving his mood abit. Vegeta the only one who hasn't fought yet isn't sure about what to do... Beerus proclaims: "You know you are all dissapointments...I guess I was wrong. I guess I have to destroy you all." Vegeta looks scared but then tries to attack Beerus out of nowhere to defend himself. If he can beat Beerus... he is better.. But the saiyan gets easily knocked aside. The rage fueling and Vegeta... unlocks his Super Saiyan transformation. He then tries to fight Beerus with this new power... but alas.. Beerus defeats him but then gets an idea. "You know what... from what Vegeta just shown me. I think I got a fun idea. I will spare you all." Everyone looks relieved, but King Cold knowws something is up. "What is this.. idea?" "You see my brother has gathered most of the Super Dragon Balls and now I have to deal with that problem. But as gods of destructions aren't allowed to fight eachother. I was hoping to catch the prophecy of a Super Saiyan God in training and have him deal with my brother to snatch the balls back, but it seems you are all too weak. However.. I will spare you all. If you train to become stronger." Everyone looks dumbfounded as Beerus speaks one more time. "As long as my brother hasn't found the last Super Dragon Ball. He will not use his wish. So how about it?" Bulma comes up and shows the dragon radar to Beerus saying that she can track it. Beerus looks pleased. Seems he has another option. "Well... if you make me a super dragon ball radar. I will train several warriors wwith Whis to undertake this Mission. However if all of you disagree I will destroy you." Goku of course accepts with Vegeta joining in line too. Freeza looks really annoyed but decides...to do something he hasn't done yet. Train, but not just train with anyone.... Train with the God of Destruction. He will probaly even get to see his enemy grow... and if they accidently die during training.. well that's a win. ....And that's pretty much the setup for it. The androids will still come as well as Cell, but with Beerus arriving this early.. what will happen with Cell with potential God of destruction DNA as well as Whis's DNA? :P Well I am not MasakoX but this was fun to do!
Omg you're making this a dramatic build up for Nappa to go back really makes me feel a little bad for him. Pretty amazing that you're pulling it off, but although it's a classic cliche. Like say "Hey it's your fault, I'm not gonna let you stay in my house until you bring back my son!" I'm pretty excited for you to the build up dramatic tension for Nappa towards Gohan and Tien along with Chaotzu. So damn awesome that you always make great what ifs. :D
Referencing one of my favorite episodes of "The Simpsons" right off the bat, off to a good start. "My planet needs me" was pretty funny, but my favorite part comes right after it: "POOCHIE's DEAD! HUHUHUHAHAHA!"
This was interesting but I feel Gohan got a little too rebellious I don't think he could just move in with Videl plus they're both in high school still, what would the people say Mr satans daughter bringing a boy home to live with her, speaking of Mr Satan no matter what he would not allow a random boy he's never met to move in with him and Videl. On another note do you think Chichi would actually do nothing with Gohan leaving she wouldve killed Mr Satan and Videl just to get Gohan back
I liked this alot more than the last part. It feels like there were more significant changes to the story than in the last part and I like the idea of Goten and Nappa getting Great Saiya-outfits.
This is already a lot better than the original story. I love that Tien and Chiaotzu finally get utilized more in this story. I also love rebel Gohan, A LOT. Great work!
I know this isn’t your Twitter, but this is one that you might want to consider for a future What If Week. We know about What If (insert evil character) turned good scenarios and how they impact the DBZ canon, but we never stop to consider how the fate and families of characters would change if they simply weren’t the same gender? For instance: What if Goku was female? What would come from such a small yet pretty big change? Would it change the character we all know and love or would it still be the same Goku on the inside? Would OTHER character’s fates change or would they be pretty much the same? Imagine a universe where Vegeta might end up falling IN LOVE with his main rival.... provided some mental bleach is required first. Anyone else feeling me on this?
I honestly think that would massively shift Vegeta's reaction to Goku. It goes from 'rival to me' to 'potential love interest'. Vegeta would be just as upset at losing to Goku on earth, but instead of being about killing the one who defeated him or being purely about proving strength, now it's about proving he's the dominant one. After all, the stronger the parents the stronger the child and Vegeta is going to be the one wearing the pants in the relationship, he can't accept anything else. Unfortunately for the Prince, that means that either at some point he accepts that Goku's stronger then he is and then proposes a relationship proper, or it never comes to be. A real tragedy would be reaching that acceptance long after Goku's settled down and being filled with regret about it. After all, his race is on the brink of extinction, he is the last of the royal line worthy of the name and the strongest female sayian in history isn't going to be the mother of his children. Because of his pride. Speaking of, the most likely winner of the 'who marries Goku?' in this seems to me to be Krillin. They'd have the time to become friends during their training with Roshi and Goku went through pains to bring Krillin back after he was killed. Krillin dying on namek (assuming things are mostly on the rails by then) was the catalyst for SSJ. Hell, that could easily be the point where Goku realizes she's in love with Krillin. By the time the Androids come around, Gohan (because without massive background change you can bet that is the first kids name) isn't going to be old and powerful enough to fight them, which if Vegeta 'settling' with Bulma has occurred would really make Trunk's timeline fascinating. Trunks as the older brother/father figure to Gohan really makes things bizarre, now doesn't it? But it would be one hell of a line for the Androids to cross, killing a child out of boredom. (well, one that the audience and Trunks knows personally) That's SSJ material right there. I can imagine Trunks would be really guilt ridden over that, especially over not being able to take them out even with SSJ. Plus, consider how this screws with Piccolo's development. No kid to train and connect with means he's still distant until at least a chunk into the events on namek. I imagine he'd be a lot more attached to Dende and/or Nail because of it. He could easily decide 'screw earth' and stick with his people. This could see him coming back to Earth only as a guard for Dende taking over the Guardian position, assuming he did so at all. Yamcha likely never hooked up with Bulma and Goku, being that at the time he feared girls so much. If he did then he probably benefits a lot vs canon, being forced to get over it sooner. Tien and Chotsu probably remain the same, since nothing really sticks out to me there. Chichi might have been a friend, but likely ducks out of the story post fire mountain, with no further motive to be involved. I'm pretty unsure if Cell has much change at all honestly, probably slightly different attitude just because Goku's going to be somewhat different. (That's inevitable due to life experience changes.) But without the motivation to throw the gauntlet to her kid, Goku surely plans to challenge Cell directly and win. Cell bites it. That's assuming things aren't thrown off enough that Cell never gets to Perfect form in the first place of course.
Interesting! I like this What If series so far a lot! I think it was clever have Tien & Chiaotzu be Majin, nice twist. It's a neat call back to Dragon Ball when they were bad guys in the Crane school. I don't know why, but I predict a Majin Gohan in the place of Vegeta (though I wouldn't be surprised to see a Majin Nappa either). Can't wait to see how it continues!
I always preferred the name Saiyagirl instead of Saiyaman 2. Also I cannot wait to see the art of the Evil Saiyaman, lil Evil Saitama's and Evil Saiyabot
All this talk about Saiyaman is making me imagine him giving a more Batman-like take on the persona. "I am Vengeance! I am the Night! I! AM! SAIYAMAN!!!"
Oh god, now I just have the mental image of Nappa with a flower shop stuck in my head, Goten and a few saibamen running around as employees. I kind of like it. And that ending twist was great.
Soooo... if Nappa got so close to the family, slept at their house, and played the role of a surraget father figure taking the boys out to monster truck shows and helping out around the house in all the ways Chichi normally desired of Goku to do....would Chichi and Nappa ever of gotten married? Goku was dead presumably for good, Nappa does sound like he's almost Chichi' s ideal husband at this point in the story before things get bad with Gohan.
I love this part!!!! Tien and Chaouzu are much better fighters than suppovich and yams. Although I see the events happening kinda the same since they would still want to steal Gohan's....Wait you could have OMG Gohan vs Goku in this arch. Nappa could power up against Kibito and get his energy stolen and Gohan could become Majin in this story. Also I think Majin Buu would have a harder time with Gohan since the Majin power up since Gohan didn't stop training and is grades stronger in the 7 years. Vegeta trained all 7 years and Gohan went soft...but in this timeline Gohan has gone through exhaustive training all 7 years and was stronger than Vegeta after the cell games. He wouldn't be SS3 but I think he would be stronger than SS2 Goku
This Great Saiyaman/ beginning of the World Tournament saga. A Majin Tien and Chiaotzu that makes sense considering they left the Z-fighters. Tien and Chiaotzu make more sense that Yamu and Spopovich. Since Gohan is much stronger in this version, interms of his powers what are we thinking Full Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 2 grade 2 or Super Saiyan 3? I wonder if we will get a Majin Gohan, given what happened in this part. Who will Dabura turn to stone? Tien and Chiaotzu returning to the story in this version with the Majin symbol reminds me of their Tournament introduction in Dragon Ball.
I just imagined Super SaiyaRobo 16 the name Son Goku would be etched inbetween the eye holes for the bucket. But that's only the top of this dastardly villian's Bucket list.

YES! I always wanted to see Gohan actually rebel against Chi-Chi. His repressed anger and her upbringing was begging for it the whole time.
The thing about Chi-chi is that she both has a point in that Gohan needs an academic future...and is absolutely detrimental to his life at the same time. He needs to be his own person as an adult, and she's completely under-equipping him to do that.
There's strictness, and then there's forcing your kid to be something against their will. The fact that she doesn't do that to Goten doesn't help.

He doesn't really have mental issues in this scenario so much as he's fed up with being pressured into being something he might not want to be. That happens to perfectly mentally sound individuals all the time. People who get forced into working a family business when they want to be something like, say, a florist for example.
Now Majin Tien and Chiaotzu is definitely a surprise and something I'm looking forward to seeing. Tien with a Majin power-up, at least, would be more than an adequate challenge for at least the low tier fighters in the group.

Gotta say, I like Nappa, and this story line is fresh and new, but it feels like a lot is more dysfunctional. Rather than Gohan having a strange family relationship triangle between Piccolo and Goku, now we have different issues. Nappa assuming a stepfather role, Gohan is isolating from his mother, and Goku feels like he doesn't really fit in the group anymore. Tien and Chaotzu have gone from barely used to turning to the darkside!
I just imagine that Nappa would just some Saibamen in the backyard whenever he feels like he needs help getting chores done quicker, and when Yamcha visits, he just runs for the hills whenever he sees one of them.

You said in part 3 that Hercule and Nappa formed some sort of rivalry? Well, I think the perfect way to put it into action and have much more significance is to have Nappa choose to stay behind at the tournament instead chasing after Majin Tien with the other Z-fighters.
It's him and Hercule in the final, and Nappa just stands there, Hercules punches not even registering in his nerves. Then he realizes something. "If I win, I can bring the prize money back to Chichi and she'll let me live there again! But... If I lose..."
After some pondering, out of nowhere, he allows his body to go limp, pretending that Hercule hit a pressure point or something. Hercule takes this opportunity and tosses him out of bounds, winning the tournament.
Chichi wonders why Nappa did this, he answers that he'd rather tell Gohan himself. (He's accepted that Gohan needs to find his own life. Particularly stay with Videl if it means he'll truly be happy. That would be a lot easier if Hercule is still the champ).
Since the end of the tournament was when Majin Vegeta showed up and blew up the stands, this would be the perfect chance to take how you've changed Gohan's personality, and introduce *Majin Gohan!*
If you were planning on doing most (or possibly all) of this anyway, then in Geekdom's words, I'm a great prognosticator. ;)

*What if Broly (assuming he were canon) were sent to Earth instead of Goku, and was subsequently found by Grandpa Gohan (or some other interesting thing if you think of one).*
Basically, Paragus was somehow able to get Broly onto a ship, the desperation of wanting to save his son from King Vegeta's wrath giving him the drive and rage to have the power to fight off any saiyans who tried to shoot the ship down? Could also have the added What-If of Bardock and Gine putting Goku on a ship and firing it off to whatever planet Raditz was on, rather than the direction that eventually took him to Earth, so Goku would grow up with Raditz, Vegeta, and Nappa. But Goku not being on Earth might get rid of Raditz' motivation to go there. But ah! You would be wrong. Broly might tap into his power at some point around the time period of when DBZ began, causing Raditz, Vegeta, Nappa, and Kakarot's scouters to detect a massive reading in that direction. Thankfully, they were on a planet relatively close to the source, so Frieza likely hadn't detected it yet. And somehow, their scouters can register the power level as coming from a saiyan. Naturally, Vegeta would want all Saiyans alive to be in his group (minus Tarble, being weak, and Vegeta being evil at that time).
But I'm not saying Broly would have tapped into his full greenish yellow Legendary Super Saiyan power yet. But he would be strong. At the very least, as strong as Nappa, or perhaps Goku in the saiyan saga, with his power level of 9,001. Necessary nerf, we can say he hit his head like Goku did, and that kind of locked his power away (and he doesn't gain it back until the DBZ time through some traumatic experience like Krillin dying at a later point than he did in the main story at the hands of Tambourine, so he's not just blowing away Oolong, Monster Carrot, Yamcha, Ox King, Mercenary Tao, Tien, King Piccolo, etc.)
And we could say that he was sent to Earth after Kakarot's crying, but before King Vegeta's stabbing, so Broly could have some inherent mental damage I suppose, making him dislike Kakarot, but not be completely insane like he was in the movies.
Also, can Broly marry Suno? I always thought it would have been neat if Goku had found the 4-star ball in Muscle Tower instead of the 1-star ball, and thus didn't have the reason he did to leave Suno's village when they offered him a place to live, since cold climates would be good training somehow probably. And Goku would live with her like a sister but they would eventually grow to love each other and have a red-headed Gohan. But in this case, it would be Broly with her instead.
I had the same idea.
Additionnaly, Broly would also be the character known as "Goku" in this timeline, and Raditz's and Kakarot's character could be completely different, having been brothers together since childhood, supporting each other under the bossing of Vegeta and Nappa.
However, I do not think Broly would hate Kakarot, as he doesn't suffer from this PTSD, maybe he would just think of the name as familiar. Or at least, make him hate carrots for some reason until it's revealed why.

What if Gohan never stopped being the Great Saiyaman?
What if one of the Saibamen seeds that Nappa planted didn't sprout during the fight with the Saiyans, only to slowly root and grow into a full patch of Saibamen pods years later? Think of it as a planetary infestation of Saiba Pods.
What would have happened if Goku never came to Earth in the first place? How do our mortal, human heroes deal with the Red Ribbon Army, the Crane Hermit, King Piccolo, the eventual arrival of Raditz, and someday, the invasion by Frieza and his forces?
What if Goku's Saiyan Spacepod crash landed in a major city instead of way out in the wild?

The problem with that is that Dabura is only good while he's in Heaven. He's still evil when he's alive (or if he had been sent to Hell). The only reason King Yemma even sent him there in the first place is because Dabura would have actively enjoyed Hell and would have caused far too much trouble there.

I is human Yemma only did that because if Kid Buu hadn't been reincarnated into Uub, then he would have simply continued his path of destruction in the afterlife and destroyed everything. Goku also specifically wished to fight Buu again as a good guy (though not actually on Shenron or Porunga) so Yemma just used that as an excuse.

Here is an easy what if story line.
"What if Champa was searching for the Super Dragon Balls earlier?"
This would awaken Beerus earlier as planets are vanishing left and right in his universe without him doing.
Also it would be different as maybe somewhere in the middle of Z would mean Beerus would visit earth earlier looking for the legendary Super Saiyan God to fight for the Super Dragon Balls.
The earliest I could think of is.... The Arrival of Goku on earth with Freeza.
And no.. Future trunks won't happen. Why?
Cause the moment Beerus arrives Freeza and King cold back down.
If somewhere later it gets abit awkward but I think the dynamic gets more interresting here.
Freeza arrives on earth where as looking at the Z-fighters. Wwhen the fight about to start. Beerus arrives between the groups and looks around. Freeza and King Cold look stunned and afraid.
Vegeta takes a moment but then looks in absolute fright who just arrived infront of him.
Beerus looks at Freeza and grins. "Well Freeza. I heard you were defeated by a Saiyan. I was hoping you can help me find him."
Freeza looks shocked. "My lord Beerus?! What is so interresting about a foolish monkey that got lucky?"
Beerus looks annoyed. "I am on a rather tight schedule and I need to know about this Saiyan now. So Freeza... tell me everything or else i will simply have to destroy you."
And well the Z-fighters get explained by Vegeta who Beerus is. And are unsure what to do.
Before Freeza can answer. Goku lands on earth and gets out. Then quickly joins the group, but is as confused of whats going on with Freeza and Beerus. Goku gets informed then of course... goes to Beerus.
"Wow so you are a powerfull god and looking for me. Well I am here." Goku just smiles to Beerus as the God just looks him over.
"Well you don't seem like a God to me... but you will do. I need to test your power for something." Goku powers up and Freeza looks absolutely annoyed by this but his Father decides to tell him that maybe Beerus can solve the problem for them.
Thus King Cold suggests... "Well why not make the fight more interresting Lord Beerus? Get him really motivated. If Goku fails to meet your expections? Why not destroy his home planet?"
Beerus gives a glare to King Cold wich makes the titan looks scared but then Beerus grins. "Eh sure why not? A good motivation goes a long way. infact I dare anyone to take me on while at it. I am abit rusty and I don't see why not."
At this moment even the Z-fighters knows what is at risk and Beerus just stands there ready to take them on. Whis however on the side decides to talk to King Cold a little to get more infromation then goes over to Vegeta to get alot more information.
Of course he then notices some food Bulma brought with her for Goku's arrival and tries it out. Absolutely delighted.
As all the Z-fighters get defeated. Goku tries his last attack on Beerus. A spirit bomb but the god easily shatters it and knocks Goku out.
He then turns to Freeza and looks at the tyrant. "Freeza. This saiyan is kind of dissapointing in power. Have you gotten weaker?"
Freeza doesn't say a word, but Beerus orders the Tyrant to fight him. Of course Freeza also loses and Beerus looks abit disspleased.
"Whis! Where are you?" Whis comes over and hands Beerus some food. "Here Lord Beerus you should try this."
Beerus reluctantly does so, but seems pleased with the food. Improving his mood abit.
Vegeta the only one who hasn't fought yet isn't sure about what to do...
Beerus proclaims: "You know you are all dissapointments...I guess I was wrong. I guess I have to destroy you all."
Vegeta looks scared but then tries to attack Beerus out of nowhere to defend himself. If he can beat Beerus... he is better.. But the saiyan gets easily knocked aside. The rage fueling and Vegeta... unlocks his Super Saiyan transformation. He then tries to fight Beerus with this new power... but alas.. Beerus defeats him but then gets an idea.
"You know what... from what Vegeta just shown me. I think I got a fun idea. I will spare you all." Everyone looks relieved, but King Cold knowws something is up. "What is this.. idea?"
"You see my brother has gathered most of the Super Dragon Balls and now I have to deal with that problem. But as gods of destructions aren't allowed to fight eachother. I was hoping to catch the prophecy of a Super Saiyan God in training and have him deal with my brother to snatch the balls back, but it seems you are all too weak. However.. I will spare you all. If you train to become stronger."
Everyone looks dumbfounded as Beerus speaks one more time. "As long as my brother hasn't found the last Super Dragon Ball. He will not use his wish. So how about it?"
Bulma comes up and shows the dragon radar to Beerus saying that she can track it. Beerus looks pleased. Seems he has another option.
"Well... if you make me a super dragon ball radar. I will train several warriors wwith Whis to undertake this Mission. However if all of you disagree I will destroy you."
Goku of course accepts with Vegeta joining in line too. Freeza looks really annoyed but decides...to do something he hasn't done yet. Train, but not just train with anyone....
Train with the God of Destruction. He will probaly even get to see his enemy grow... and if they accidently die during training.. well that's a win.
....And that's pretty much the setup for it. The androids will still come as well as Cell, but with Beerus arriving this early.. what will happen with Cell with potential God of destruction DNA as well as Whis's DNA? :P Well I am not MasakoX but this was fun to do!
Omg you're making this a dramatic build up for Nappa to go back really makes me feel a little bad for him. Pretty amazing that you're pulling it off, but although it's a classic cliche. Like say "Hey it's your fault, I'm not gonna let you stay in my house until you bring back my son!"
I'm pretty excited for you to the build up dramatic tension for Nappa towards Gohan and Tien along with Chaotzu.

This was interesting but I feel Gohan got a little too rebellious I don't think he could just move in with Videl plus they're both in high school still, what would the people say Mr satans daughter bringing a boy home to live with her, speaking of Mr Satan no matter what he would not allow a random boy he's never met to move in with him and Videl. On another note do you think Chichi would actually do nothing with Gohan leaving she wouldve killed Mr Satan and Videl just to get Gohan back

I know this isn’t your Twitter, but this is one that you might want to consider for a future What If Week.
We know about What If (insert evil character) turned good scenarios and how they impact the DBZ canon, but we never stop to consider how the fate and families of characters would change if they simply weren’t the same gender?
For instance: What if Goku was female? What would come from such a small yet pretty big change? Would it change the character we all know and love or would it still be the same Goku on the inside? Would OTHER character’s fates change or would they be pretty much the same? Imagine a universe where Vegeta might end up falling IN LOVE with his main rival.... provided some mental bleach is required first.
Anyone else feeling me on this?
A long as doesn't involve SJW stuff, I think ti's a very good idea
I honestly think that would massively shift Vegeta's reaction to Goku. It goes from 'rival to me' to 'potential love interest'. Vegeta would be just as upset at losing to Goku on earth, but instead of being about killing the one who defeated him or being purely about proving strength, now it's about proving he's the dominant one. After all, the stronger the parents the stronger the child and Vegeta is going to be the one wearing the pants in the relationship, he can't accept anything else.
Unfortunately for the Prince, that means that either at some point he accepts that Goku's stronger then he is and then proposes a relationship proper, or it never comes to be. A real tragedy would be reaching that acceptance long after Goku's settled down and being filled with regret about it. After all, his race is on the brink of extinction, he is the last of the royal line worthy of the name and the strongest female sayian in history isn't going to be the mother of his children. Because of his pride.
Speaking of, the most likely winner of the 'who marries Goku?' in this seems to me to be Krillin. They'd have the time to become friends during their training with Roshi and Goku went through pains to bring Krillin back after he was killed. Krillin dying on namek (assuming things are mostly on the rails by then) was the catalyst for SSJ. Hell, that could easily be the point where Goku realizes she's in love with Krillin. By the time the Androids come around, Gohan (because without massive background change you can bet that is the first kids name) isn't going to be old and powerful enough to fight them, which if Vegeta 'settling' with Bulma has occurred would really make Trunk's timeline fascinating.
Trunks as the older brother/father figure to Gohan really makes things bizarre, now doesn't it? But it would be one hell of a line for the Androids to cross, killing a child out of boredom. (well, one that the audience and Trunks knows personally) That's SSJ material right there. I can imagine Trunks would be really guilt ridden over that, especially over not being able to take them out even with SSJ.
Plus, consider how this screws with Piccolo's development. No kid to train and connect with means he's still distant until at least a chunk into the events on namek. I imagine he'd be a lot more attached to Dende and/or Nail because of it. He could easily decide 'screw earth' and stick with his people. This could see him coming back to Earth only as a guard for Dende taking over the Guardian position, assuming he did so at all.
Yamcha likely never hooked up with Bulma and Goku, being that at the time he feared girls so much. If he did then he probably benefits a lot vs canon, being forced to get over it sooner. Tien and Chotsu probably remain the same, since nothing really sticks out to me there. Chichi might have been a friend, but likely ducks out of the story post fire mountain, with no further motive to be involved.
I'm pretty unsure if Cell has much change at all honestly, probably slightly different attitude just because Goku's going to be somewhat different. (That's inevitable due to life experience changes.) But without the motivation to throw the gauntlet to her kid, Goku surely plans to challenge Cell directly and win. Cell bites it. That's assuming things aren't thrown off enough that Cell never gets to Perfect form in the first place of course.
Interesting! I like this What If series so far a lot! I think it was clever have Tien & Chiaotzu be Majin, nice twist. It's a neat call back to Dragon Ball when they were bad guys in the Crane school. I don't know why, but I predict a Majin Gohan in the place of Vegeta (though I wouldn't be surprised to see a Majin Nappa either). Can't wait to see how it continues!
I always preferred the name Saiyagirl instead of Saiyaman 2. Also I cannot wait to see the art of the Evil Saiyaman, lil Evil Saitama's and Evil Saiyabot

Soooo... if Nappa got so close to the family, slept at their house, and played the role of a surraget father figure taking the boys out to monster truck shows and helping out around the house in all the ways Chichi normally desired of Goku to do....would Chichi and Nappa ever of gotten married?
Goku was dead presumably for good, Nappa does sound like he's almost Chichi' s ideal husband at this point in the story before things get bad with Gohan.

I love this part!!!! Tien and Chaouzu are much better fighters than suppovich and yams. Although I see the events happening kinda the same since they would still want to steal Gohan's....Wait you could have OMG Gohan vs Goku in this arch. Nappa could power up against Kibito and get his energy stolen and Gohan could become Majin in this story. Also I think Majin Buu would have a harder time with Gohan since the Majin power up since Gohan didn't stop training and is grades stronger in the 7 years. Vegeta trained all 7 years and Gohan went soft...but in this timeline Gohan has gone through exhaustive training all 7 years and was stronger than Vegeta after the cell games. He wouldn't be SS3 but I think he would be stronger than SS2 Goku

This Great Saiyaman/ beginning of the World Tournament saga. A Majin Tien and Chiaotzu that makes sense considering they left the Z-fighters. Tien and Chiaotzu make more sense that Yamu and Spopovich. Since Gohan is much stronger in this version, interms of his powers what are we thinking Full Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 2 grade 2 or Super Saiyan 3? I wonder if we will get a Majin Gohan, given what happened in this part. Who will Dabura turn to stone? Tien and Chiaotzu returning to the story in this version with the Majin symbol reminds me of their Tournament introduction in Dragon Ball.
I just imagined Super SaiyaRobo 16 the name Son Goku would be etched inbetween the eye holes for the bucket. But that's only the top of this dastardly villian's Bucket list.
