I am 45. Yet new to motorcycling
With just 4000kms experience.
Yet I am toying with the idea of buying a 1250 gs.. For road tours... And I hope I can use it for office commutes and trips to social events restaurants.
If not then I will have to think of a city bike as well.
And If I ever get interested In off roads.. I mite buy a light 390ktm or maybe a 500x or hero 400 impulse or whatever is launched in 2025/26.
Africa twin is too heavy for off roads and not as good as 1250gs for on road.
This desert any day ! Reason :- Completely raw mann , its like tht bs3 rc 390 just raw
its got to be honda africa twin, but why not 500x in that case, which you wanted in first place and more managable, efficient anx enough for our highways(note the recenf speed limits announced and randomly checked)
500x doesn't feels much engaging for off roads. But it's certainly a mile muncher

In my opinion Scramblers are the way to go in india specifically. Adventure bikes are overkill for indian bikers as WE don't ride much adventurously...Our foreign brethren ride their bikes into the ditch with their big ADVENTURE bikes....we dodge even the damn speed humps.......We dont ride as hardcore as other country's riders.......So scramblers are the way to go

i think the scrambler is a capable bike for whats its intended for. long term upkeep will be unnecessarily pricey tough, italian bike. not a straightforward honda

dont know your requirements...but am very much fond of the RE 650CC twin engine...u can go for the INTERCEPTOR 650 and do the modification as did Sagar Sheldekar sir 🙏 would love to get some opinion over that..from u 🙏🙏 love from kolkata❤️❤️
