Ecoboost! Woot Woot! Make more videos! The internet is missing you! (at least I am). You make zero waste look so doable and achievable. I am very much a micro mini baby when it comes to zero waste and I find your videos on the topic encouraging and positive! Thanks for reading, Carrie Spencer

Lavender is a great antiseptic so very good for breakouts. I spot treat with it.

Another body butter recipe: equal parts coco butter, sheabutter, coconut oil and another carrier oil (I like almond) - melt in double boiler. Add EO if you want (but this smells chocolate-y so I don’t). Cool and then whip. I give it as gifts in small mason jars. It’s amazing.

I dont care about my looks so its hard for me to get into beauty things (which I dont feel bad about) but I do use the bentonite mask sometimes with apple cider vinegar mostly because I've gotten addicted to that tightening feeling it gives 😂😂 and I also make my lotion with whipped shea butter ☺️

I only just realized how you remind me of Maria from the Sound of Music! You look similar, you have the same voice and kind personality.

Just a little tip regarding the bentonite face mask: it is NOT necessary (and not recommended!) to leave it on until fully dry. The clay works/ has done it's work even if your face is still a wet, dark, green color! ;) Once dried, the mask becomes hard and somewhat painful and with each movement of the face, it agravates the skin and can create micro cuts/ tears which, is not ideal! There: time (and face!) saved! :) Lovely video, you're just so natural and unpretentious, I love your vibe! :) Vx

In fact you should mist water on it and not letting dry!

I've heard that you can also use bentonite masks to "detox" your underarms when switching from non-natural to natural deodorant, although I didn't try it myself.

I was kinda shook that you used castor oil in your face oil blend. Castor oil is so thick and can be drying to the skin. I personally love using grapeseed, rosehip and avocado oil for my face :) For me castor oil is only a part of my diy oil cleanser

Castor oil also causes hair growth. I use it on my eyelashes!

Hi Carina, castor oil is included in this recipe as it is shown to have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and moisturising properties that are great for the skin.

does anyone know of a shampoo and conditioner DIY that does not require a fridge to keep. I travel all the time for work and I am finding it hard to get things that work with constant travel and are not super expensive. I know etsy has some but I often I am in Europe and shipping is crazy expensive.

Hi Rae, if you take a look at the e-book it defines skin types and which oils/ingredients and recipes to use for different types. If you have any questions though please do drop us an email at hello@acalaonline.com and we'd be happy to help.

I use a similar face oil after I have cleansed before bed, but I'd like my daily moisturiser to have some sort of SPF as I have very fair skin. Any recipes anyone?
