There was a court trial about freedom of speech in US history called “the greatest trial of the century.” Still, when Jesus stood trial before the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate, that was unquestionably the trial of the universe! The holy and sinless Son of God would stand trial before sinful, corrupt man. After hearing all the false accusations and his examination of Jesus, he powerfully declared, “I find no fault in Him.” From that point, Jesus Christ would then endure the greatest suffering man has ever known and would die for the sins of the world. In this sermon, we will take a fresh look at the Cross and what Jesus did for us.
