Awesome flying but I can say for sure before he hit the flight mode switch it was about 2000 rpm because that's where and how mine sounds. Then he added quite a bit more RPM for 3D. But the fix for low RPM is simply installing the Trex700 105mm tail blades.
@doublejdj1 i think theirs said too fast for proper governing because they were using a smaller tooth pinion than yours, i wish they provided more info. if they added 1 tooth more to their pinion they would not have recieved this message. but i've learned that if you caluculate your headspeed for reals, the cc esc's usually limit you under that by about 400 rpm. so raising it within those limits will work just fine even if you get the too fast for prop gov message. cheers!
i didnt know you could use headspeeds even if the CC esc says too fast for proper governing, i have read that castle creations is very conservative about their governer, which is a good thing. i have a trex 500esp, thunderpower 65c 2700mah packs, scorpian 3026-1600kv motor,14tooth pinion, CC icelite 75 esc, and spartan gyro, with stock ds510 cyclic and ds520 tail servo. my seet rpm mode limits my head speed to 2600rpm, which was not fast enough for me, so i set it too 2800 and it works great!
OnTheSnap1 is correct! You should not be getting that error message "Too Fast for Proper Governing" at a 2200 rpm setting. Reshoot the video, showing the Motor Gearing page and then the Head Speed setup.
@sorrochazo sorry by in English, I am Spanish. .jejeje...by many things .align thinks that we are all idiots.1 the program of castle for CC hv is brown, the blue are not only for ESC LV.2 when the marking rpm of 2200 in the Set rpm of the governor, indicates to him that the esc not longer can with that configuration, when in the real thing, can be until 2240rpm without darte that error.and 3 2200rpm does not create that noise in the shovelsto believe ,
A few guys tried to use HeliTach to tach the video. It's coming in at 2400RPM. Align can you please confirm your Castle settings and re-test the heli at 2200RPM? My experience is that the tail will not hold at all at 2200RPM in hard collective reversals, etc. The root cause appears to be a reduction of the tail gear ratio from 4.5 to 3.85 (ESP and all other 600's are ~4.5).
I think this bird have a different gear ratio because in the video you can read the program saying "to fast to govern properly" anyways, my with the stock gears the CC program tells me I need about 73% on my thr curve........ Any body knows what gears are he using in this video??
It looks like you entered the gearing information wrong. You don't get the RPM error until 2350 with the pro's 8.615 gear ratio and 510kV motor. Can someone analyze the audio in the video? Align - Please reshoot the video with a optical tach, and/or show the motor/gearing section in the castle software.

Apparently one on the laptop, one to fiddle with the flybarless system, one to run it around so the pilot does not strain himself, and of course the pilot to fly the thing. All for one model. Talk about over resourcing a situation ..... might go a little way to help explain why our parts cost so much!

eu ja acho que o simulador não te causa medo, e a realidade sim, pois mesmo durnate anos no simulador, quando voce pegar o heli na realidade, voce sempre terá medo de lenhar .....no simulador voce aperta uma tecla ndo teclado e ja tem um heli novo...mas mesmo assim, o simulador ajuda e mito .....

FYI - 105mm holds great, which is a 15% increase in diameter of the tail, and puts the tail thrust back in lign with other models in this class.

4 years too late but you could have also installed the 600n tail drive gears to up the tail rpm.

mine had a tail authority problem until I actually set the tail limits out to the max they could be. Don't have a problem any more.
