At that time I've seen the comments on Lando's and McLaren's Instagram and most of them were people spreading cruel words towards him and his fans were saying that the media changed what he said, and that they understood what he meant. I haven't seen one comment saying what you just commented. So you're just a liar.

If I'm correct they live pretty close to each other so they will probably see each other pretty often.

Come on guys, even me, as a huge Max fan, knows this: Landos remarks were taken totally out of context, he was referring to pitting under the safety car rather than waiting for a red flag. That's why he mentioned taking a gamble. He never meant (and didn't say) that Max' victory was just luck, not talent.
That’s why he says how the media takes things out of context and that is what social media does best too. Many haven’t seen the original post race interview at all.
Max understands Norris much better than the fans do, when you lose it's painful and you act differently than you normally would.

blablabla the dude said it loud and clear on camera. Now it's understandable these guys say things they don't mean when they just get out of the car and are pumped with adrenaline. But in this case the media did NOT take this out of context.....not one bit. Did they milk it....yeah of course they did, they are the media, it's what they live for.

He also said that Russell probably was the one who deserved the most to win, so he really said that Max got lucky, no excuses. It's unbelievable that so many people across social media said that Lando didn't mean that. We can take 2 things out of this. People should go back to school or they really have a problem when facing reality if it is about someone or something they like.

He was talking about the red flag benefiting alpine primarily. He didnt see Max's race before this interview, he thought he got lucky from the red flag (which he did a bit, but that doesn't take away from his purely dominating race)

@@AABBZZizein 4 laps ig he was alr on p11 and in 10 laps he was p6 or p7 so idts that's luck , george and max both anticipated that possibility of a red flag was high , max decided to stay out but merc brought george in which fucked up his win

Yea, F1 media is complete shit, they listened that quote and removed the question from EVERY youtube video, only who saw Live in F1TV knew that the quote was not talking about max. F1 media know this would cause drama, and drama generates engagement. They dont care that the engagement is mostly HATE towards Lando. and its pathetic that lando needed to retract something the he did not say towards Max. Sure he mentioned "media changes things" but if I were lando, I wouldve just told flat out, what it happened. and not retracted because he didnt say anything wrong, since he was not talking about max.

@@kondjanegongo796 exactly, lando more than any random on the internet, knows going from P17 to P1 in those conditions is an masterclass of a race, he would never said that directly to Max. Lando can be a man child sometimes (like in the cooldown room with Lewis this year), but hes not dumb. This is just F1 media twisting stuff to create a story/drama that have engagement. And the engagement is hate towards Lando, dick move.
That's how "normal" people deal with eachother. For journalists it must be very special if some people behave "normally" and are friendly.
Lando was taken out of context and it's still seriously annoying. He wasn't talking about Max specifically, he was talking about pitting under a VSC vs a red flag. I thought Max would at least have learned the context by now that Lando wasn't saying that Max had all luck and no skill in Brazil.
Max is such a nice guy. Lando wished he'd crash, Lando's dad liked a video of Silverstone 21, Lando fans and Max haters always say "it's all luck" and STILL Max defends him. Max may get angry on the radio sometimes but he doesn't have a mean bone in his body, and he's not the villain people want him to be. Fans, especially his haters don't want to see that because it doesn't fit his narrative. But in the end, Max wins. In the sport, in life, and in himself. He rises above all that bullsht.
max respects people that are honest and straightforward. Even when its competition like Lando, Charles. Max hates slimy ppl like George who go around your back.
Max put on a master class this year. He probably didn't have the fastest car by race 7, and he still won the championship for a fourth time. Not only won, but by a wide margin.
Lando and Max are friends and the media tries to break that because that's better news for them. Of course Lando was mad and dissapointed and then sometimes you react in a way you regret after a while or you say it in a way you don't really mean to. Max understands this and lets Lando cool down. This is what friends do.

Lando's quote was taken out of context. It was about staying out while Lando pitted. That was also calculated since the rain might be heavier. By staying out Max could go to full wets or gamble on a safety car.
The media keeps stirring the pot with pointless, trashy questions, fueling unnecessary drama instead of focusing on real issues.

I already said it in the comments of other videos, but I always thought the comment was referring to the safety car - not Max's driving skill or anything.
While it does take some skill to anticipate when a safety car might come - it's still mostly luck.
It was a rainy and messy race to begin with - so a safety car was pretty much guaranteed at some point.
And people still saying that Lando meant something else with those words. It was really dumb from him to say but he was angry so I get it.
who saw the interview, saw that the question asked was about the decision to box or not before a red flag. So yea, F1 hid the question from oficial F1 channels because they knew that quote would generate engagement over HATE towards lando, about something he was never talking about max, he was talking about the decision to box or not. But people belive what they WANT to belive, i saw the interview live on F1TV.

Anything the drivers say during or some hours after the race you should take with a grain of salt. These guys are full of emotion and adrenaline and sometimes frustration, anyone would say things that you later kinda regret. It's off course entertainment and the media always try to pump things up for content, but they are people like all other people.
I love max but when Lando said that, i don't think he meant max lack of talent but the safety car helping him was the luck. But oh well MAX IS CHAMP 🏆
Norris is half-correct - Max did not have to overtake Leclerc, Tsunoda, Norris, Gasly on track. In fact, Max stuck behind Ferrari right before VCS/RF.
But calling it "just luck" is wrong. Max would probably took first place anyway. It is more correct to say Lando was unlucky, that is.

I agree with max that the timing, the dissapointment, was terrible and lando is human and is allowed to feel that. BUT, why is everyone, including MAx, getting what he said out of the context of what was asked to him, he was asked about the decision to either box or not, and no1 can predict 100% a red flag, and he was talking about THE DECISION TO BOX OR NOT, which DOES have luck in it. He was not saying that Max went from P17 to P1 was pure luck. But the media is so shitty that they cut the entire QUESTION out of the interview in the OFICIAL F1 channel, and im 100% they knew this would cause drama and engagement. But the problem is that... its a lie, and only caused hate towards Lando on something taken out of context, and me and lot of people saw the interview LIVE on F1TV and saw the question. And thats why he said "media changes things" and its true, totally twisted his interview. To a point he needed to RETRACT something he never said TOWARDS MAX, it was towards the red flag decision.
