Will you take responsibility for the destruction of an entire empire forrrr... a single fate point? Let it never be said Adam is not a shrewd negotiator.
it was hard for me to not make all the jokes in chat when he said that. Also, I want a Nebula Jazz BM band called that. Whatever the hell Nebula Jazz black metal is.
i wish there was a way to listen to these offline-like a podcast, love catching up while i'm driving or at work but the data is killing me! keep it up guys
+Adam Koebel Enjoying the new show very much! Amazing team, and great narration! Couple of rules questions though: How did you wind up with six FPoints at the beginning of the combat? If I remember FAE correctly, the GM pool increases only when NPC aspects are compelled by players, which I don't remember happening here... and even going by Fate Core there would have to be a concession or a scene ending compel to give you more points than four, since unused points don't carry over. Is there a house rule in play? Second thing: If the Jacksonians (brilliant, puntastic idea!) had a +2 defense against Jesse's -1 attack that *does* make it a success with style for the goats, doesn't it?
At 30:40 how does Adam have 5 Fate points *after* invoking? Don't you get 1 per PC in the scene? Also they *did* succeed with style, because 2 is 3 greater than -1.
I'm late for this party but I agree, where did those points come from? My suspicion is: he thought he gets 4 per scene and he can hoard them, and he used 2 of those for compels. The 4 per scene are for enemy invokes only (and reset each scene) and all the compels come from "the bank" as far as I know. I'm only on video 2 and I know I'll feel silly if I find out it's been addressed in later videos :P
Just my two cents on a thing that doesn't really matter at all: Little rackets like the one described around 24.00 normally go one of two ways: either they try to find a fee that's big enough that it matters but is low enough that the people they're shaking down don't want to risk fighting, or they specifically target people they're sure can't fight back. I think it would be much more interesting to have a dilemma: the players could really use the money but fighting is taking a significant risk (death, maiming, police arriving, etc.). They can also turn back and try to find another path or try to leg it.
The numbers for each of the stats (quickly, forceful) seem the same, just put in different spaces for each. Are they given set numbers to work with, or is it something else. How do the stat's initial numbers get determined? If I may ask. Also, If I had some ideas for art on the characters, Do you think you guys would be able to make some use of them =) I'm pretty inspired watching this roleplay,
Eugene and Aurora getting all "touchy-feely" might become a "Rule 34" situation. In the aftermath of the campaign, they both are happily married living their lives as goo and wife, but as it turns out are fairly kinky in bed together.

Xovius well it was Adam that started it with grigori
11:00 and further. Is Aurora the main character of space version of The Truman Show?
Dodger makes everything better.
Eugene causes so much innuendo... "I got the stickiness all over my hands still". K then.
Hammer space cloaca, aka the safest place in the galaxy. Yes please. More of that.

I am totally in love with @dexbonus but she has to whisper sweet nothings to me in that bad Louie DePalma voice!!
"No one wants to be defeated" Oh Adam. /shakeshead
