Like most of us in the Hmong Community, I've been obsessed with Dang Thao and J Vang's new song, "Leej Muam Dai Siab". From boothing near them for Fresno Hmong New Year and hearing the song every day to seeing all of the wonderful videos created for his MV competition, I wanted to release a version of my own. This is by far the best female version. You OWNED it. I love it. It hit me so hard because this is part of my life story too. I was so torn when we talked again many years ago. He chose Her, why did he try to return to ME? I had to change my number so I wouldn't be tempted to take him back because I was still single then. He finally went back to her when I turned him down. This is not a win-win situation at all. It's definitely a lose-lose situation and both partners would get hurt should they know that we even talked. 11 years later, he showed up on my FACEBOOK. One of those recommendations. I was tempted to friend him, but I didn't. I did "like" his horrible singing. Once he knew I saw him, he changed all his pictures to more attractive and loving ones of him and his wife. AS IF, right? LOL. We are both "happily married" now. But bittersweet memories still haunt both of us, I'm sure. Causing pain to those who love us more.

I am a latecomer to this song but you know that famous video from the Rock & Roll HOF induction of George Harrison where a massively talented group of musicians played "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and somehow Prince still stole the show because he was the GOAT? Of all the versions out there right now (even the original), Treasure Moua is Prince. Just a mic drop rendition (or more appropriately, guitar toss into the air and walk off stage moment) and everyone knows it after they've listened. Amazing.
