What about the song when you first enter? I worked this ride snd we were never told. I moved from the ‘Burg in ‘99 and still to this day catch myself humming it.
@@rockwithroadrunner good question. I’ve always wanted to know. Pretty certain that it was composed specifically for the ride and there’s probably no way to listen to it aside from videos on here or actually riding it 😢
Okay in a sense the scenery and effects are good but to be honest this ride seems to be lacking a lot, needs way better sound design and lighting at least
Its pretty old. I went there back in 2006 and it hasn't changed a bit. But I can definitely tell its better go and experience it rather than watching it on a screen.
2:16 Look behind you right here in the ride and you will see the scariest beast to have ever lived, You will see a humanoid creature behind some glass just nodding at you it so scary :(
So two things..."put your cell phone away"...absolutely ridiculous. When I was a kid (and I know I am wrong now) but distinctly remember a huge Jesus looking statue of the right catching fire and then the statue of the left that starts on fire resembled Mary...I know that was not the intent or how it looks now, but man as a kid does your mind play tricks on you (borderline Mandela effect).
That is a lot fun I've rode it
I remember riding this when it was first introduced. Short and sweet. Perfect stop if you need a quick cool down.
1995 I was working it :)
Looks amazing! Perfect break during a hot park day!
This ride is fun
Rode this way back when it first opened. Loved it!
Can’t wait for hhn videos
Does anyone remember riding this when the real fire effects were still a thing???
What?! When that happen?
The fire is still there, and very real
@@trainscoastersandmoretcm3255 it didn't show it in this video though?
@@courtneycaudill4984 any fire you see in the video is 100% real, non of its fake
@@courtneycaudill4984 it’s still on, gets really hot at the very end. Reminds me of revenge of the mummy.
I WAS ON THIS RIDE THIS AFTERNOON WOOOO!
What's frightening about the premise is that it's entirely plausible. I've heard that Mt. Vesuvius is still active!
i've heard that about your mom!
Yes, and yet there’s a city larger than Pompeii built right in front of it AGAIN.
Luanne Splatter Maybe they might be well prepared for evacuation when it erupts.
TwilightLink77 A large majority of Pompeiians evacuated. 2,000 people still died because of the eruption.
@@cornjobb bruh
It's changed quite a bit since my last visit. It's faster, and I remember Prokofiev's Dance of the Knights being played before the drop.
Im pretty sure its a music loop that can play various songs around the drop, the recording of the drop from the outside had Dance of the Knights in it

It’s a loop, I’ve heard it and flight of the Valkyries. There’s more that I don’t know the names of too
Yes! That is definitely the song I most associate with this ride
I remember when I was younger I was on that
I remember when I was younger I was horrified of that ride
Same
same. but i remember it feeling much scarier 😂
Pompeii is still my favorite
Favorite ride of all time at the
park
I love this ride
This is probably a dumb question. But do you use a go pro to flim this?
The on-ride part is a gopro, yes.
@@sharpproductions oh yes thanks for the answer

Almost every year I go here
i cried when i rode this..
well, that was a briskly timed little amusement
The only thing I don’t like about this ride is that the only restraints keeping you from falling off the drop is a pole.
lol
Yeah ya got to hang on for dear life
I remember when I was a kid I ride this with my parents and my sister and cousins to I was sacred of it
What camera did you use? Nice footage!
Sounds like a phone based on the ride op’s announcement. 😂
What is the name of song that was playing inside the ride?
2:16 Look behind you right here in the ride and you will see the scariest beast to have ever lived,

it so scary :(
Wait fr?
I thought it was permanently shut down?
The nuns at the end! ahahaha
Nice fire
I remember my little sister sneaking onto the Big Bad Wolf she was way too short and my parents had a panic attack
I like it and I rode it before and in 2 days
“Please put your cell phone away” hahahaha
It echoed too which made it sound really creepy lol
@@VArailfan89 haha I haven’t tried to film on Pompeii yet. I might try next time I go.
@@JBguitar-cj8pc Be discreet about it...use a GoPro with a chesty mount or head mount. Good luck!

Shortest. Ride. Ever.

Why does it look so familiar to Jurassic World the Ride LOL

It looks like they took some stuff out of it. When I rode it several years ago, there was a falling statue and everything.
That fire is hot as fuck tho
Like it feels like I'm in a toaster.
Cause you haven’t rode it
@@mattmattiematthew9542 is there not still a falling statue??
