This has been up for 5 days and not a single angry political diatribe from a UKIP supporter?! I'm not sure who to feel more let down by, UA-cam comment sections or the British electorate...

He sounds perfectly sensible to me. Voting UKIP was a protest vote. No one thought, or even wanted, UKIP to win and form a government. We voted UKIP to pressure the established parties into agreeing to give us a referendum. It worked and once we had the vote we dropped UKIP like a dead rat. Unlike some other countries in Europe we don't elect extremist parties into power. But for the last several decades the mainstream UK parties, Conservative, Labour and Liberal/LibDem, have all run on pro-EU manifestos. The British public have been denied the chance to have a say on the ongoing federalisation of the EU. We were give the 'choice' of voting for Part A who wanted to stay in the EU, Party B who wanted to stay in the EU and Party C who really wanted to stay in the EU. That is not a choice for those who didn't want to stay in the EU and keep on moving towards a federal Europe.
We got a vote on joining the then EEC in the early seventies when it was sold as a simple trading block and that was it. At treaties like Maastricht and Lisbon handed more and more power to the EU and removed our power to veto anything we didn't like (a promise made to us when we voted on joining) we were refused a vote again and again. Other countries got votes, like Ireland who famously voted against only to be made to vote again to get the "right" answer.
The mainstream parties were ignoring us.
So voting UKIP gave us the chance to make it clear that they needed to listen to us.
      That's democracy.
We didn't need them to get elected, just win enough votes to force David Cameron into listening to us.

Though her comments about the EU some up Brexit quite well - they behaved in a way that made us want to dump them and so we dumped them
