Considering the room she ran into immediately exploded I would say he's lucky he wasn't listening to that woman.
@@SkelNeldory Yeah, they ran TOWARDS the blast. You can literally see the direction the force is coming from by the direction things go flying. They went the exact way they shouldn't have. By staying where he was he avoided injury, don't know if the same can be said for those who decided to run towards the explosion.

I don’t think he knew what was happening. It looks to me that he couldn’t see the window from where he was standing, and since you wouldn’t hear it till the shockwave hits, I think he is just confused why everyone was running.

That doctor was possibly the only one in the video with a university degree. That's what university "education" does to you.
After watching countless videos of this incident, I can definitively say that there is someone going around that city and hiding untold amounts of sheets of paper in the buildings. They seem to be coming from nowhere when the blast hits.

@ryanleonard5356 okay so this comment was one year ago. At the time I wasn't thinking of the vocabulary word ducked, and the only word that came to mind was cowered, and cowered means to crouch down in fear which is what he was doing. Just because I used a different vocabulary doesn't make me ignorant, plus I'm sure everybody else gets what I was trying to say and not attempt to go deep into this because of my vocabulary.

Unfortunately they ran towards the explosion :c I think they may have been looking at the smoke through the windows? Not realising the shockwave was coming (no would really have time to know a shockwave was about to hit them in those circumstances)

Operating rooms are usually well enclosed inside buildings, they probably would have barely noticed other than the building shaking briefly.
Thats when they knew things were about to get really busy.

Everyone was confused and didn’t know what to do. That same nurse sadly ran towards the explosion (maybe to see the smoke out the window? Not realising the shockwave was about to hit). Him staying there instead of following the nurse may have saved him 🙏🏻 (two nurses ran into that room, only one ran out) :c
The nurse was near a wall which slowed down the nurse but she still hit with shrapnel but the most devastating deaths didn’t happen because of the shock wave, most of the deaths were from ventilators and live support systems disconnecting

If you look at other footage from this explosion, the ground shakes shortly before the blast arrives (because seismic waves travel much faster than sound)
They probably felt it, panicked and then the blast hit them.
@@simonsays_999 yes that probably is also one possibility of why they are reacted before the blast occured, even tho I see no much of a shake in the camera, probably the ground did shake and make them react like that.
