Thanks for that tutorial. I’ve just come across some easy marble paint in my stash and hadn’t a clue what they were for. Now I know so I am going to have another bash.
Hi! Can Marabu Easy Marble be used on fabrics? I have a lot of Easy Marble colors! I love it, so much fun!
Easy Marble is not recommended for fabric as it can not be heatset or washed for wearables. However, we have seen it used in some fabric art projects.
I just bought some for a guitar im gonna be hydrodipping, this should cure well with a vinyl sealer and waterbased lacquer for a high gloss finish on wood?
Your Easy Marble surface should be brushed first with a water-based sealer as an isolation coat, then you can add whatever additional finish you want on top.
@@MarabuNorthAmericaCreative you say brush on water based sealer, but on a guitar I'm not sure about brushing. Is there some kind of aerosol that could be used?
I have the same sort of idea, i was planning on swirling a guitar and letting it sit up for a day or two, then hitting it with a 2k clear coat from a spray can.
Is this going to work? I did it this way years ago with the borax and oil paint method, I know this is specific paint though.
Hi Celia, I am using the easy marble and using the technique as for the post card but using yupo paper and I keep getting air bubbles which when they pop there are holes in the artwork, can you please tell me how to avoid this, thanks Tanya :)
Tanya Anderson - There is an Easy Marble FAQ under Resources at our website with tips for getting the best results. Usually keeping the ink swirling/stirring to a minimum will help prevent bubbles.
Can we use this on a candle?
Could this be used on candles? Or would that make the candle unsafe to burn?
Are you planning on eating the candle?
Do you use carrageenan to make a size? Or is just plain warm water ok?
Visit the FAQ under Resources at marabucreativeusa.com for tips on working with Easy Marble. It’s not like traditional marbling, no sizing additives required.
When I follow the instructions I end up with a gooey mess. The skewer pulls all of the color away and it’s really gummy. Am I using the wrong temperature? Not enough paint? Thanks.
Please refer to the FAQ for Easy Marble on our website for lots of tips for success. Easy Marble is solvent-based, so it has a very short open time once it's sitting on the water's surface, maybe about a minute, depending on the climate and water temp (cool is better than warm). So you want to drip, swirl, dip - all within that minute, before the solvents dry into a thin film. One tip is to have your desired colors shaken and uncapped ahead, so you don't eat into your open time.
what is color shit for and how do you use it
The marble can only be used once?
Each jar contains enough product to dip many times, depending on how much is used each time for different sized objects and different color combinations.

Can it be used on porcelain?
Yes, although this paint is solvent-based and should not be used on areas that come into contact with mouth or food. Lots of helpful tips are in the FAQ on the Resouces page of our website.
