You did forget to mention in the video that this HG comes with parts to makes the original GNT-0000 00 Qan[T] head but in the GNT-0000SHIA Gundam 00 Shia Qan[T] colors and without the 猫耳 (Neko Mimi, Cat Ears).
Fortunately as a custom kit Shia Quanta doesn't have to look like its canon counterpart, so it has a but more leeway here. Interestingly, G-Portent is supposed to be a kitbash of Exia and the Sakibure GN Drive type (it showed up at the end of the movie, but doesn't have an actual kit IRL).

I believe i might know why the cat ears. Shia resembles a character from the manga Gundam OOP called Hanayo. Hanayo is an inovade like Tierria and takes the form of a small girl with silver hair wearing a mostly black outfit with cat ears and a cat tail. The mobile suit she pilots is the Gundam Artemie which is essentially the suit that becomes the GN Archer later. The Artemi has the Archers body but is styled after a bee. This seems to be a recurring theme as the G Portent is essentially Exia gundam with an insect stylization.

I felt like something called deja vu cause they are absolutely the same except the head,the armor at the side of the chest, the shoulder and the missing armor piece at the back of the knee. They actually look the same except the shia quan t is a green cat mobile suit while the original is cool
Personally, I prefer the new, more unique design of the Shia to the RG. It just looks so good for a BFT kit. It adds to the original without going overboard, and even has its own little references to the BFT canon (the Portent parts on the shield). I'm super hyped to get one now...
I wanted both but I got shia first and I got in my plans to get RG quan some time.That's because I believe that if you work hard and paint shia a lot ,it ll really look so cool,I will paint all over all white parts with one color I havent decided yet and make silver metalic the joints!
This kit is SO close to looking like one of my OCs... I'd just need to repaint some things to make her "accurate" like making the skirt armor & "shoes" green, entirely white midsection, green chest and putting some yellow on the head while making the ears white.
Agreed. Any part that doesn't need to move, I've glued on my RG Exia and Trans-Am Raiser. Connor, if you really need another RG Quanta, HLJ probably still has it in stock and it's on sale right now, so you may not get a better opportunity. I ordered one for one of my nephews. I personally prefer the Shia Quanta, and don't mind the age of the kit considering my HG 00 Raiser + GN Sword III is still one of my favourite builds (especially once I gave it the Seven Sword/G weapons). If this is as solid as you say, it's one I would definitely get. One of my nieces has even expressed interest in it.
+Connor White superglue/plastic cement/epoxy/whatever adhesive works on plastic around the male end of the connection will somewhat thicken the shield connection in my experience. Do not, however, put the part on immediately after applying glue, because yeah, the connection will be rock solid but you won't be able to move it at all.
The visor crown keeps popping off so annoying the Lupez Rex head fits on the Real Grade Qanti so I place that on when I use my creation powers with Broke the hand on the lupez rex🤦🏿♂️ I am Already The Master just don’t got hand patience atm
How easy would it be to repaint that green? This looks really cool but i dont like the green on it and i also am not a fan of the helmet, thankfully i have a spare 00 helmet from one of my kits.

if your a true gunpla lover you can build it without the need to understand Japanese. me my Japanese language is poor but I can build it easy my first one I've build is probably OO Raiser. just look at the picture on the instructions over and over again XD make sure not to make a mistake while building it.
It's a good kit but I was expecting more from bandai tbh. I mean, if you look at Transient & Portent (both of them were based on exia) you will see how much was updated, unlike this one. And they didn't sell it cheap. If I had to choose between this dated color variant or a newer RG qan t (costs 3-4 $ more) I would definitely choose the RG. Personally, I think Bandai missed the mark on this one.
They did it before with Transient and Portent. And don't forget the price, which is ridiculous for an older hg kit. Hell, a lot of the Revive kits are cheaper than this.

or it's because Shia's entire design is meant to be moe incarnation and it's only natural for a moe character to have a cute cat deisgn

I didn't have any problems with the sticker on the main camera.
the original HG Qan-T head camera is also foil sticker upfront.
I haven't noticed those are cat ears until you pointed it out, it's an okay update though.
Thanks to HLJ having their summer sale, I ended up ordering both. Wasn't really sure about getting the RG Qan[T] until I noticed the sale.
