Just moved here and we love it! We had a list of retirement "musts" and when exploring smaller towns, Jacksonville was the only one to check all our boxes. The variety of local restaurants and excellent diners is amazing. And all the big chain restaurants are here too. Stores are pretty much the same, just might be a tad smaller than major metro ones. Come on down, great southern feel and everyone is used to welcoming non-native southeners into the fold.

I am reaching out to get some information on top rated public and private school in surrounding areas and where to live in a good community in and around J'ville? As you can imagine moving from another country is daunting and I just like to get honest opinion and information so u can decide whether to move to J'ville NC. Many thanks

I wish I could move back to J'ville. Been homesick for it for about 25 years. So sad that the Ark is now gone.
