I was reminded of this Indian art called Lippan, a combination of mud work and mirror tiles in a variety of shapes. Sort of like mosaic work but the mud between tiles is both wider and decorative. I bet that would look fabulous on plant pots, but again I wonder about the upkeep.
Oh snap! I just had a fantastic idea. Have you seen the planters made from concrete blocks? How great would mirrored tile work look on those?! I love mirrors in a garden. I don’t mind when outdoor mirrors look dusty or grimy.
I also learned what terms to search for when looking for all of the shapes of mirror tile available. “Mirror tile” just returns square or rectangular tiles. But if you want petal, round, or teardrop shapes look for “shisha” or “Lippan” mirror.

I like them but I wonder how they will look 6 months or a year from now. What’s the upkeep like? Mirrored furniture drives me nuts because it only looks good for like 5 minutes after cleaning. But the moment it gets a finger print or dust or a mystery smear, the glamour vibes are destroyed. Is the mirror being tiled going to prevent this? After a while most plant pots look mucky.

If they are kept inside a patio or the house, they will last a long time. I have put these type of mirrors on other items, and they are still holding up. I will not put them outside in direct sunlight though!
