  • Moving the battery trays forward like we do in this video gets the balance front to rear closer to 50/50 weight ratio closer the car. Stock configuration has the batteries all the way to the rear causing the very rear of chassis to scrape off jumps and wear prematurely. Also the car just feels like the rear is too heavy and this improves handling characteristics from what I have been told by others that have done it. I’m excited to get out and test it for myself but this has always seemed to be the only thing I didn’t care for in the stock configuration with saddle pack setup.

Is that carbon part on top of the radio box with the kit? Or where from?

I cut a piece of carbon fiber film to fit it. Made it myself

@paulsmart2078 you must check the front hub and caster block screws often. For some reason they have a tendency to back out because of the design. Besides that it’s a tuff and solid platform. Very durable

Does anyone know the mounting hole centers of this battery tray?

In the video you notice I say to use one of the factory holes. I believe it was the front hole on left side. You put a screw in that hole and then use a transfer punch to mark the other hole for that side. Then you just match the right battery tray to that same spot on the other side and use the transfer punch to locate the other two holes.

If you feel better using a template you can join the “ Nemo racing groups “ on fb and ask around a lot of people have the printable template they can email to you. I didn’t personally feel like that was necessary.

Thanks for your reply. I forgot to add in my question that i want to fit the battery trays in a different brand of buggy.
