- Hey Plant Nerds! I took a road trip back home to Nebraska to see my niece off to college and visit with friends and family. I had a wonderful trip but I do not think I will be doing this drive again anytime soon. I hope you enjoy this VLOG and seeing little pieces of my week back home!

It really is a blip on our journey but the way you are treated in high school makes such an impact. I'm glad to have overcome aot do those feelings and still working on others.

Adam, I started watching your videos because you relax me. I fell in love when you applied make-up (before the Kaylee one). Now I want to meet you and give you a giant bear hug. You are a beautiful soul and I completely understand and agree with your words at the end of this video. I didn't move away from my family until I was 53 and 4 years and many therapy sessions later, I started to accept and love myself. And yes, I believe it starts with liking yourself and turns into love. I truly hope you get to the love stage. Keep being you. Love how your nail polish kind of reflected your long trip, they were a little tired as well. Thank you for taking us along.❤️💙

LOL It is just you seemed so relaxed and enjoyed your trip. I too was that one that so wanted to fit in. Well at 71 I really don't care anymore. Why I live in a tiny town of 170 people in the middle of nowhere. It is that kind of town if you were not born and raised here 5 generations back you will never be accepted. Lived here 12 years and only a few people even know my name.
All is good I too enjoy my home and pets yard and of course my house plants. Blessings on you Knot Dude. OH and I too have to wash everything put it away before I pack to go on a trip. Not that I travel much now. I also had to clean my house to point of spotless knowing by the time I got home I would just have to do it again. Big time dork.

Your ending opened my eyes to reasons as to why my son, who left home at the age of 18 and is now 37, finds it so "easy" to find reasons not to travel to NJ from OK as often as I would like him to. You're sooo right about him being an entirely different person because he has lived 19 years of life that I only heard of, but did not know of. Thank you so much for this video because now that I have a better understanding, I can make moves to not only repair our relationship, but to make it better. Be blessed. Stay safe. We drove through that same Peyson fire. It was so surreal. Also, I check for bed bugs and lysoled the entire bathroom at every hotel as well. Thanks Covid.

Thank you soooo much! I cried as you left the valley heading to Payson! I know that road like a best friend! Many trips up the rim to my grandpa's old cabin! And the fires are devastating! My nephew is a Hot Shot Wildlands firefighter out of Heber Overgaurd, AZ. And I took my master bee keeping class up in Lincoln! Lol I love New Mexico! You have no idea what this meant to me!! You're a beautiful soul!!!!

I understand you. I moved away from my family who live on an island and so they must travel by ship or plane to see me. My home also has a lot of trauma for me too. So I completely get where you come from with liking who you are now but how hard it is to be with family who no longer truly know you like they used to. And you know what, it’s ok if you don’t pick up the phone as much as you feel like you should because it’s a two way street but also sometimes you need that space and distance. No one is perfect. It is what it is. Family won’t love you less. Loved this video 💕
This is my second of your videos. I could have watched and listened much longer. Your comfort-your ease-having a discussion with us via this medium is most refreshing. I look forward to the next. And the next. (And, come payday, I must purchase a whale fin sansevieria.)

You are such a cutie. My husband and I made a trip to our home state, Wisconsin, about a month ago and stayed in a hotel. I sprayed EVERYTHING with Lysol and brought along our own pillows. Check for the bed bugs too. Can’t be too careful💚🙃 I’m at the beginning of your journey, I hope you had safe travel💚🙃 We have a bee keeper right across the street from us. He showed us his extraction process one time. Bee keeping is a lot of work💚🙃 Thank YOU for allowing us to be a part of your journey. I LOVE to travel, my husband not so much. Although we are making another trip back to Wisconsin, to help a terminally ill friend wrap up few things so his wife won’t have to deal with them later on. He’s doing okay right now and making memories are important to us. Your niece and Nolan are so sweet, thank you for sharing them with us. Excellent video Adam, and Mickey D’s May not be the best choice for food, but mmm mmm a yummy choice. It’s our go to road trip food. Thanks Adam for the road trip, I enjoyed the journey💚🙃

Aww your relationship with your niece reminds me of my own nephew. He was born when I was in high school and my niece also 2 years later. We are so close even now. They're finished with college and I know how you feel about getting "older" my niece is 23 and nephew 26 😏😏 love the plant shopping!!!!!

You have learned a lot about life at a young age and you are right in that you will continue to learn and grow! You will never stop learning, growing and changing! It’s great that you are comfortable in your own skin and with the person you are becoming! Road trips are great for contemplation!

Hello from Omaha 👋 I totally understand your feelings about living away from home. While I am home now, I did live in GA for a good bit of time. What I felt was a complete sense of freedom and no one really understood that. Coming home, on the other hand, was suffocating.

Seeing all of those different landscapes was so much fun, it differs quite a lot from Sweden :) When you had your little plant haul with Nolan, who is adorable btw, all I could think about was the movie Twister when I heard those wind chimes haha. Also, thank you for being so open and vulnerable with your life, you are a beautiful human being. I can relate on many things you said, especially with being bad at keeping contact. I don't know why but it can go months before giving someone a call or even a text and it makes me feel like such a terrible person. Anyway, keep on being your amazing self. Staying in communication is a two way street 🙃 What’s so great about ride or die people in your life is that even with the distance, when you finally do get together, it’s like a day hasn’t passed. This might all be coming out wrong 😅 But what I’m trying to get at is don’t be so hard on yourself if you fall out of touch with some people.
Side notes: that e. Platyclada -🤤 & have you ever gotten an extra chicken nugget & it just really turns an otherwise bad day around? No? 😅

I loved this and the ending was soo relatable 🖤 it’s amazing the growth you can experience when you take yourself out of a some what toxic environment and become your own person and independent. Oh man and the uneasiness that you feel when you revisit that place I feel shows that it was the right decision. (At least in my experience)
