George Carlin is intelligent & keenly observant of people, always was. I love his "save the planet" speech. George, with tons of humor, put everything into perspective with this. Who do we think we are? With one volcano, one earthquake, the Earth will cleanse itself of anything we do to it. The loss of species on this planet is always ongoing. It's so interesting his talking about viruses, and he was talking about the AIDS epidemic that we were just coming out of. But he could also be talking about COVID, too, although COVID didn't hit until 2020 and he did Save the Planet in the early 1990's. But it's just as relevant as today. His comedy and intelligent, common sense genius is so sorely missed! RIP George. Thanks for reading, God bless!
Carlin was a hell of a wordsmith and a comedic storyteller. His older stuff is real vulgar and his newer stuff is very thought provoking! Thanks guys! 👍👍
Crazy how limited human memory is. The 80s were a nanosecond ago on the planetary scale, and yet people have already forgotten about AIDs. We really are goldfish in a bowl. Hence the seismic importance of Gutenberg.

In this particular segment, George makes you think, more than laugh. Some of the things George was talking about are happening right now and he said this 30 to 40 years ago..George Carlin was not only funny but extremely intelligent. There is an hour long video of George being the guest of honor at the annual National Press Club Dinner. It's Not something you would do a reaction to, but something that would be very interesting for you to watch at your own leisure. It is very entertaining as well as informative and of course funny.😂
I've always loved George's description of his job on his "Operation: Foole" album. "This is my job. I think up all the stupid shit you don't have time to during the week. Then I come tell you about it on the weekend."

Hey guys! Been loving your reaction videos and your new channel since I found it about a month ago... Keep checking out more of the Wit and Wisdom of George Carlin...nothing wakes up a society more than helping them LEARN with LAUGHTER! lol And when it comes to any particular singer, music and such, I would love to see you start down the lengthy and HISTORIC musical discography of the iconic song writing team of Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin! You've got about 60+ years of their songs to go through from the first album Empty Sky to the most recent, The Lockdown Sessions! Did you guys notice that George said...This First Virus"!? People seem to skip over that particular word... 1st... And think he's only talking about aids! He predicted a lot of things coming our way. I think he's absolutely right & covid... I think ...is just the second virus to hit.
Jim Breuer is also a "modern-day" George Carlin when it comes to calling out the truth and current events. I discovered him through a bit of his called "Party In The Stomach", which is hilarious - it will resonate with people who have had their share of alcoholic misadventures, and/or who love "ethnic impressions" (accents).
@@johncurtis7186 Well... it depends on the material. First of all, Carlin's later work since the 90s is absolute GOLD - no question - the most philosophical (and honest) comedy ever. He was real news exposés and educational documentaries brilliantly rolled up together and cloaked in comedy. However, his OLD stuff from the 70s and 80s? Meh, not that great. It was all a mix of juvenile and off-the-wall wacky antics (but not always), often revolving around the usual fare of sex, drugs (LOTS of drugs), and bathroom humor, which sometimes can be brilliant, and the occasional "deep probe" analysis of societal concepts, along with some word play and puns (his Seinfeld-esque observations of words and language featured this most ; a bit called Some Werdz from back in 1974 was comedic and clever). Now Breuer... the first thing I ever heard from him was Party In The Stomach, and that had me on the floor. I still love it to this day. Sadly, though, nothing I've heard since really came close to that, and beyond that, I never heard much stand-up from him at all til the recent years where he has been pushing back hard on all the woke agenda garbage. I totally missed all that SNL Goat Boy and Half Baked stuff, so I can't really comment on it other than to say I acknowledge it is a huge part of his comedy beginnings and staples. I will say this much with all honesty : Breuer's jokes in and of themselves are , as you said, not all that funny, as it's more about his delivery rather than the content, a delivery which is rich in sound effects, physical animation, and character voices. Thinking back, I noticed he can do several consecutive minutes of just talking about woke Liberals portrayed as either squawking cockatoos or demonic evil doers, each espousing all the programmed rhetoric they love to repeat ad nauseum. These he characterized (respectively) with all the darting head movements and screeching speech screeches of the bird, and loud, deep guttural growls with "devil horns" gestures held to his forehead, and a mimed "flickering devil's tail" - that's it. He did those sounds and gestures, while quoting the biggest echo-chamber talking points of the Left for several minutes straight, calling back on them as the act continued. And his goofy laugh. Probably less than 25% of the entire act actually had any actual jokes or elaborate story-telling on its own. This is a pattern I've noticed with him. I'm not saying he isn't funny, but he is perhaps not AS funny as Carlin by any identical measure. They each have their own styles, for sure, which I find amusing enough. So, I can see where you might say he is not funny, cos the jokes are just simple observations played out with sound effects and voice impressions. Without those embellishments, he's just Seinfeld... minus the shrewd observations. Whereas Carlin only had a couple of voice characterizations - the high whiny simpleton voice and the gruff "constipated" voice, peppered in with his own natural gravelly voice - that's it. And he only ever employed the extreme voices to further illustrate a point or other deliberate purpose. The rest was all solid, brilliant comedy, that anyone else could tell and still get a few laughs (not nearly as many as Carlin, though - cos you know, it's CARLIN, and those voices, lol). But come on... let's be fair... Sam Kinison made his career endlessly screaming like a madman about his beastly wife (how he died of anything but a full-blown aneurysm is beyond me), Andrew "Dice" Clay made incredibly crude and sexist jokes, and Bobcat Goldwaith did his entire act in the most annoying, mentally/emotionally unstable "I'm-a gonna cry like a little bitch at any moment" voice. Every comic has their schtick. So, maybe I mis-spoke in making a direct equilateral comparison between Carlin and Breuer. I guess Breuer's mission to speak truth and smear the Left and other disingenuous scum of the earth resonated with my love for Carlin's own brutal honesty and logical/factual analyses of the modern world and all the crooked scumbags in it. Sorry for the long comment reply.
I'm subscribed to this channel and I can't remember why. Was it due to Bar or thanks to Bell? I'm from Antwerp in Belgium and we take things seriously down here. We kicked-out the Romans some two-thousand years ago, lived through the Spanish inquisition, fought the French, Obliterated the Austrians and Dutch, learned the Germans how to swim fast enough to escape their trenches, and we became independent, finally, after 2000 years, by again kicking the Dutch back into the place they belonged. By doing all this we contributed to save the planet. Save it from oppression. No bells nor Bars involved. Just sheer manpower and guts. Now, what's your contribution, eh?

It's amazing how even adults today forget how horrifying HIV/AIDS was. The amount of people lost in the most hopeless manner, the fact that princess Diana was considered terribly brave for visiting friends dying of AIDS personally, and now that we've had our very own pandemic everyone is blinking in slight confusion at the "sexually transmitted"bit.
Hi Phil & Sam, You all have selected a good routine by the master. George is shockingly smart. He makes many, many valid points in this skit... When George mentioned the save the planet crowd, it made me think of Al Gore. You know him.. Goes on and on about the planet and still flew around on jet airplanes. What is the fuel consumption and emission on one of those things??? More pollution in one trip. Many times what your vehicle does in a year. Pack you shit folks...!!! The Earth plus plastic!!! At 8:something he brings up viruses. Many thought he was talking about COVID-19. No he means HIV. Spread sexually!!! And at the end -- a curtsy! May I suggest you all review Germs, the immune system also by George --- very funny!!!! Accurate, thoughtful statements.... Take care you all....
I don’t know why people say Bill Burr is similar to George Carlin. I personally don’t think they’re similar at all. I think George Carlin spoke on much broader, bigger issues from a bigger picture than Bill Burr. Just my thoughts.

George Carlin is the father of politically incorrect comedy, from his earlier works of the list of things you can't say. All his comedy is based on current events of the time he wrote those jokes, which is how he remained funny with the changing of the times. I would not be surprised if he had one about "#metoo" translating to "pound me too" as the name of # as a symbol is pound.
It makes sense why they said A.I.D.S was transmitted from to us from apes because the notion that the planet came up with a virus to not only prevent us from committing the act of reproduction but to also kill us because it sees us a a threat would have rocked the very foundation of humanity itself. Even religion would have crumbled apart, because if God exist why would he allow the planet to do us a thing when we're supposedly so important to him?
LOVED this reaction! NOW! From the same era of George. Check his out Religion is Bullshit. I want to see you think about your own beliefs! (bet I'm not alone! lol)
Save the Planet is a pretty dumb slogan when you really get down to it. As George said, the Planet'll be fine, it's us we gotta be worried about. We're not anywhere close to destroying the planet, let alone her ecosystem. We're just making it less livable and more hostile for humans.
A philosopher who occasionally told jokes. He was truly one of a kind and is sorely missed today
Yes sir, legend.
He actually told lots of jokes. He probably just didn't appeal to your sensibilities.
If you get your philosophy from a comedian, don't be surprised if you're regarded as a joke. Carlin was funny, but not a philosopher.

Take care you all....
no body tells the truth like george carlin.
Can you imagine George Carlin commenting on all the "Woke" B.S. that is going on today!!!!!! Wow! What a video that would be!!!!!
I don’t know why people say Bill Burr is similar to George Carlin. I personally don’t think they’re similar at all. I think George Carlin spoke on much broader, bigger issues from a bigger picture than Bill Burr. Just my thoughts.
He's obviously talking about *HIV/AIDS* but so relevant with *#Covid*
The only person I have seen that compares to the professor of wordology that was George Carlin is perhaps Bo Burnham.
The prophet of comedy

Please please do Sinbad you will not be disappointed. His take on marriage is superb.
I can look up knowledge on the Internet.
Wisdom however; is only possible through gaining perspective.
That weird cut at the end chopped out part of his sentence. The whole thing is 'it doesn't punish, it doesn't reward, it doesn't judge at all'.
His contemplation of a Virus was referencing HIV/AIDS
bill burr also idolizes carlin, he said such on opie and anthony
Check out Andrew Dice Clay "Poems"... You'll love it
George Carlin is the father of politically incorrect comedy, from his earlier works of the list of things you can't say. All his comedy is based on current events of the time he wrote those jokes, which is how he remained funny with the changing of the times. I would not be surprised if he had one about "#metoo" translating to "pound me too" as the name of # as a symbol is pound.
Poor Socrates, was sentenced to death simply for being way too smart, and sarcastic. George would've met same fate in Ancient Greece. 😂
Actually, George may be one capable of saving the planet.
Sam is sooo cute. Phil thank you lucky stars Sam came into your life
It makes sense why they said A.I.D.S was transmitted from to us from apes because the notion that the planet came up with a virus to not only prevent us from committing the act of reproduction but to also kill us because it sees us a a threat would have rocked the very foundation of humanity itself. Even religion would have crumbled apart, because if God exist why would he allow the planet to do us a thing when we're supposedly so important to him?
George was a prophet.
You guys need to watch Sarah Millican, best British Female comedian.
He’s more honest
Please react to Doug stanhope doing his economy bit. He's one of the greats. Great stuff as always guys.
Modern day nostradamus
LOVED this reaction!
NOW! From the same era of George. Check his out Religion is Bullshit.
I want to see you think about your own beliefs! (bet I'm not alone! lol)
Save the Planet is a pretty dumb slogan when you really get down to it. As George said, the Planet'll be fine, it's us we gotta be worried about. We're not anywhere close to destroying the planet, let alone her ecosystem. We're just making it less livable and more hostile for humans.
george had a 165 IQ
Real talk: that 'philosophical' question Carlin mentioned is just another example of humanity's over-inflated self-importance.
So brilliant.. Carlin in later years, called out the Bullshit. IMO..only two comedians call out the bullshit today. Chappelle, and Burr.
Pls checkout "George Carlin, Indian Sargent", it's probably his earliest recorded bit but it is soo damn funny!!
