Don’t use Amazon for anything!
Man! Love the strumming! Adding that to every video would be nice.
Nothing like having all the right tools for the right job, like your set up.
Those are the good old jerry cans the military used for years. They are worth the extra money. I have several red/ yellow. No mistakes that way.
Fantastic! I learned so much from watching this video. The way you manage these large pieces of wood is remarkable. The clarity of this video is excellent. Looking forward to your upcoming videos. Keep producing such amazing content!
Book ordered. Thanks so much for the suggestion! Also; nice guitar work. Very soothing. Now I know why you pick such great music for your videos.
Awesome! Thank you!
Gee, Nathan, a remote-control opener, for your truck's tailgate (also known as an 'endgate,' here in Alberta). There's no end to your toys, eh?
About your comment pertaining to operating the excavator with your feet. Ease of operation is going to come with muscle memory in time. One of the best equipment operators I personally know (or knew) was an old guy that was about 60 that had been running skid loaders since he was a teenager. He preferred the CASE platform because the hydraulic system is smoother than the other platforms (I agree -this was about 26 years ago) and he could eyeball a grade, then go in and rough it out with a straight bucket and tires(no teeth and no tracks) and have a quarter mile sidewalk within a quarter inch of being EXACTLY on bubble when we brought out the transit and level to shoot it. Nothing replaces experience and practice
Really enjoying the music. Nice work.
"War of Art" ordered. Thanks for the tip.
Enjoy!
Watching an artist with his brushes!
Hey John 👍👍
Didn't know you got the great gift of music.Sounds Great.
Hi momma cat and George!
Get paper and permanent marker to make a list of what boards are what color. Laminate it to staple it to the top o the stack with a copy put in a file. I forget alot of stuff so have a plan and work it to save headaches all the way around.
Nice guitar playing Nathan, please add more of it to your videos
By painting the ends of lumber before kiln drying my question is does this interfere with the drying in the kiln for the axiom I've heard is "the ends is where most of the wood drying process occurs"? I enjoy the commentary you provide to accompany each video thanks for the thoughtful content. Ray
I liked the face that was first sawed, where you could see all the knotholes and the grain pattern.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful music. ❤
Looked up the information on the fuel can vent caps: Magicfour Fuel Can Vent Caps 6 pack.
I’m back at your mill this morning, man oh man you are a busy guy. All the best, RB, Nova Scotia.
Liked the music !!!
Strong work!
Hey there Ethan , good content you have . But I noticed you have a liking for older equipment. You might want to think about lookin into National Pike Steam, Gas and Horse assoc. They do three or four weekends .
Pretty awesome old machinery .
Well done with the music. It fits. Nice.....
I used to buy the cheap plastic ones. I would bring them home and drill vent holes in them. Amazon sells vent caps that you can use a hair dryer to soften the plastic of the can and install them. Then, I would take all that junk on the cap off and replace it with a simple flex hose. This would make them work about as well as one of those expensive jerry cans. What I did was highly illegal, but I made regular trips to the local gas station (20 miles away) and fill all five of them up. Never got a ticket.
probably not illegal for the end user to modify the cans. just illegal to sell them w/o the "safety" features. the safety features are needed because idiots manage to burn themselves when ignoring safe usage. needed because the idiots do not burn only themselves.
I agree the Jerry cans you have are great. I did make an adjustment on mine to allow the gas to flow out easier; I purchased on Amazon breather vents that you can install very easily on the top behind the handle. They are brass with a screw top, look into them I know you'll be happier with how the gas flows out.
That finish mower is awesome. Wish I had enough space to have one 😆.
I love it!
your commitment to touching the sawn lumber by hand as little as possible is very impressive. lol
Hey Hey Hey Love the rift you played, I may have to get the bass out of storage and make some low tones... Play it again Nate! John
Go for it!
I liked your comments on the gas cans. I have several old, round, metal 5 gallon cans that are good but the one I use most is a plastic 5 gallon can made by the Blitz company. I don't think Blitz is still in business but they made the original "Jerry" cans for jeeps back during WW II. I bought it in 1998 and still fill it up about 5 or 6 times a year for yard work. Needless to say, it does not now, or ever did, have one of those ridiculous "idiot proof" spouts. Thanks for the great videos.
I use the racing type plastic jugs for my lawn gas. Works a a well and only about $30 apiece
Early bird 🐦 is getting the worm 🪱 whereas the second mouse 🪤 gets the cheese 🧀
Hey Joe!!
@OutoftheWoods0623 planning my 4 day Mother day weekend 🙌 have an amazing and blessed day with the family 💫
True
While Mama Cat rolls in the dirt. I wonder if her or Cabbage weighs more than George.
That RM43 is some good stuff
looks like a golf course with a saw mill on it..
Nathan. You are a true Renaissance Man.
I hope you got that Me Guy's permission to use his Music, LOL!
Great video
like the music
I think it could be some times be good for free logs
Love watching your show and everything you do enjoy it very much
I have George's sister.... my dog, Trixie, looks just like George and also weighs about 10 lbs........
Hi Nathan & Hi Bruno & Hi Mr George & The Happy Chihuahua & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Nathan & Bruno & George & Nathan & Wife & Thanks Nathan Friends Randy
Your fields look nice. I'm still at least a week or two from our first mowing of 2024.
I can see Nathan, back in his law enforcement days, stopping a teenage girl for speeding. She tries to cry her way out of the ticket, and Nathan gives her that signature look, hands her the ticket and says,”you hang in there “.
Or stopping a landscaping crew for having Non DOT approved Gerry cans on their trailer.
Thanks for adding your own music - sounds good.
May I send Bruno a pair of Bluetooth/Wi-Fi earbuds? This way Bruno can be hands-free for connection to multiple devices to hear his music and doesn't have to hold the device (Cell Phone) up to his ear.
What a kind thing to offer. 😊
@@bevb736 Bruno's ear buds arriving Monday 13th. 😃
Yeah, it takes a fair amount of practice to get used to using the foot pedals for movement. In some cases, it's harder on the minis due to space restrictions.
If you do have a machine with good pedals, once you get the hang of it, you'll very rarely go back!
I read the book based on your suggestion, really enjoyed it!
Nathan you make a great video. I really enjoyed it. Thanks 👍❤️
Looking good Nathan. Stay safe and keep them coming. Fred.
Love your music Nathan
Kudos on Lastec finish mower deck as it has got to be an awesome time saver & one of your best investments to date as well as being very enjoyable to operate.
Great video, as usual Nathan, thank you for sharing, How's the diet going or is in the wind?
That's some fine pickin' there, Slim.
Hey, at $86 a pop, I'd have those 3 jerry cans locked up with a bicycle cable.
I noticed your banner saying you created the music - well that’s cool Nathan . You sound about my level , the level that can come up with a simple tune and hold it all the way through , finding the right piece of film to set it to is the creative part and you’ve done a cracking job with this one . Lying eyes by the Eagles is my proficiency level btw 😅..
Your chickens must be a great pride for you as you always seem relaxed and happy when you interact with them .
Another cheerful and interesting vid Nathan , cheers my friend ✊
👍🏴
You got the right weed killer I have this and it kills all types of weed and things don't grow back which I like.
I've always been fascinated by wood. It comes naturally since my family have been carpenters and cabinet makes for generations. My family name is the German word for carpenter or cabinet maker. But I am the last and it ends with me because my sons never were interested in getting their hands dirty. I will be 70 in a couple of months and it's been a long road I became a shop teacher to attempt to help create a new generation of craftsmen. Sadly the schools phased out shop class and replaced it with computers. Carpenters can virtually write their own ticket because the good ones are few and far between. There is a dearth of motivated young people who will work so I wonder what will become of this world when the last of the builders are gone. Perhaps the Movie Idiocracy is their fate. How Sad.
Nathan, another great Video, good job.
Thanks again!
hey man i love your show i really do im just curious about how many hours a week do you spend running your sawmill
Depends
thx
Sounds like an open tuning on a twelve string. Nice. So what's a gallon gas go for back there. Probably half of what it costs here in California.
What an enjoyable visit Nathan! Has some of everything almost. Nice music too! Are we going to hear more of that Elliot Sound in the future? Kind Thanks and Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
More to come!
@@OutoftheWoods0623 👍👍👍🎸🎸🎸☕️☕️☕️🚜🚜🚜🐓🐓🐓
Of course.
I would speculate that the decision on the wood is up to the user.
I think George get up on your console. Give me a great old big grin
I should get chickens so I can feed them my wife’s leftovers no one eats. That includes her😂😂
DUDE! I want to talk about that trailer.... i want one
👍
Nathan, you have got those hens spoiled that's all there is to it lol
Like your blue trailer what's the capacity in lbs Nathan. ??
I think a ton of works well
Have you stopped doing live streams?
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
Hi Nathan i think you mean the Art of war " by Tsun Zsu 😀😀😀😀😀😀
No, he means this one: The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles. He’s mentioned it before.
@@justjane2070 Fair one, i thought it was a mistake
Why didn't you cut the two cants together, double your production. Cut down on sawing time.
A lot of bead is not good for chickens. Once or twice a week is ok but no more. I had a little over 100 chickens at one time with around 75 being laying hens and the rest were all different types just to have. The people I'd get chickens from always told me that but I cant remember for sure the reason right now and if I said what I'm think the reason is I might be telling a lie, so I'll suggest looking into it yourself.
Hey I’m newer to the channel and notice you drink a lot of coffee. What’s your go to?
I have about 5 different brands I like, or what ever is on sale lol
You know, a guy could’ve just dumped the riprap right on the end of the culvert pipe, then it would’ve been in place and all You would have had two done is clear a few stones off the end of the pipe
Is there no value in the slabs you cut off of the expensive logs like the walnut and butternut? Seems like some artist or creative person could find a use for those, and allow you to sell them. Ive seen pallet wood used for wall panelling, and it looks nice. Chipping up walnut seems like heresy. 😁
He's offered his slabs for free. But nobody shows up to get them. So after awhile he has to burn them. He could get a wood chipper and make mulch to sell or use.
If you're not careful you'll get trampled in that stampede.
Sometimes there money makers and some time there just free fire wood
So Nathan, When Are you going to start taking care of your skin. What size nogin do you Have? Cancer is nothing to mess with Nathan
Do you know the Lord or have you ever tried praying I know it works very well living proof
war of art? you mean art of war sun zhu?
No. He means this book: The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles. He’s mentioned it before.
What happened to free logs?
REALLY? MOWING THAT WHEN YOU COULD HARVEST HAY???
Sorry your name is Nathan .
Are you able to sell your sawdust to a wood pellet producer?
Never tried
@@OutoftheWoods0623 Many sawmills sell every speck of sawdust for that purpose.
I have those NATO style jerrry cans. They never leak, easy to pour, if you have the correct nozzle with the vent tube in it. You are correct, not cheap, but they work perfectly.
Nathan you should let Me know they did a good job on your intro music. 👍
OMG!!, the Chicken House!? Now I know you're joshin us.
🗽🇺🇸👮🚓👌
Great to add your own music . Good work .
Many thanks!
