I have always personally hated it. It's really hard to edit files because of the shortcuts you have to enter for everything. Nano is simpler in my opinion.
@CrunchyCarrots12 Yes, Nano has its own set of problems too. I also enjoy using Nano, but it's always beneficial to familiarize ourselves with different software and various tools.
Trust me, keep going it's so worth it I nearly quit when I began learning it but it helps so much in the long run, it literally only took me about one or two weeks to blaze through text at light speed.
😭😭😭, sorry after watching all these, I am no longer interested anymore in been a hacker, I don't want my brains blown off with all these passage, these algorithms are enormous
Get your hands dirty it’s easy, create an account on HackTheBox and mess around you will learn, for each challenge and machine there’s write ups and walkthroughs that can help noobs like yourself. As always you do you
Does he really just not like vim that much? I feel like once you learn how to enter insert mode and know how to write to a file it's like any other text editor. The rest of the commands are mostly for navigation in a file.
Chuck i want to ask this because i have no answer anywhere : If i take this exam on htb can i actually get a job in Belgium? Because Belgium is not aware of hacker culture and i don't wanna sell a kidney for a OSCP lol.
Having these tools is legal (I think, I'm not a lawyer) but using them to hack actual people or organisations is illegal. There is white hat hacking or ethical hacking, where an organisation intentionally has a hacker try to hack them in order to find vulnerabilities before malicious hackers do.
These are skills that are useful for anyone in IT. We all are part of the security architecture and need to understand how and why!
I've been messing around with Vim lately. It's pretty awesome. I know it's better for productivity, so I'll learn it slowly but surely.

If you want to customise, I'd recommend nvim, it has so many plugins, like telescope for fuzzy finding, dashboard for a home page, etc.

I'm in a cybersecurity specialist course right now, and I love your videos

@shubhammonu755 the instructor said by the end of it we can, but that wouldn't be very awesome. Doing it to stop the bad hackers by being a good one
