Q: Where are you from?
A: I was born in Pakistan but then moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia when I was only 9 months old. Have been raised and lived there all my pre-married life.
Q:Why do you mention Sweden in your videos?
A: I moved to Sweden after marriage. Lived there for 7 years, then moved back to Saudi Arabia in 2018.
Q: What is your education?
A: I have done a four year honours program in Information Technology and Computing.
Q: Who’s in your family?
A: I have been married to Naveed for 7 years. We have two sons - Yahya is 4 and baby Ziyad is 1 year old.
Q: Why are you Homeschooling him?
A: In general, I am not satisfied with the quality of education in schools. But also, our local school's system (we have only one or two international schools in our city) is not satisfactory. We are aiming to homeschool till 6 years of age for now.

Even I was thinking that these are boring methods, there should be something fun..
Blending compound words is such a fun idea, my 4 year old came up with few words himself..
Earlier he used to run away whenever I would sat word blending. 😅

when should be the sight reading introduced to the kid during this method?
With this method we have high frequency words that the child can sound out!

the 11 challange u made is new for kids imean words are new for him . i m fellowing ur method but when i spell shirt ( breaking sounds) he use to say cap . how can i cope with it. should i teach him the words first or go with as it is
Continue, he will get it eventually! Words that your child find very hard to blend it correctly, you can skip and continue with the rest. If you feel he still needs more practice then don't continue to cards 6 onwards.
Instead, repeat 1-5. Try it with different games. For instance the card 3. When the child will blend the word, ask him to act it out. So when he blends jump, he will actually jump as well :)

Assalam alekum man, I am not able to understand how many segmenting words are there, where they start and where they end.
WalaikumAssalam! Any word can be segmented. But if you're talking specifically in the video. Then I numbered them according to days. And that too can be changed. Doesn't matter. The point is to practice these everyday till the child can blend the segmented word easily.
Next step then will be for the child to segemnet the word 😀 That will be challenging at the beginning but will get easier with time too.
Do we need to teach digraph before blending?
Verbal blending mey you don't need to teach anything beforehand!
The focus is only "listening" to the shortest sounds in English. Us my chahy single letter sound hon ya 2 letter sounds (sh, ch, th) ya phir 3 letter sounds hon as in (igh) or whatever...the focus is to learn to LISTEN to the shortest sounds and then blend them.
Later when they start letter-sound correspondence and so on. It will be way way eaiser for them to understand

Augh has two sounds
1) ä
2) ăf
Pehli sound jasay word "taught" mey hoti. tät
Dusri sound word "laugh" mey hoti. Lăf
“gh” is quite tricky as it follows 3 rules by far
1. sounds like “f” e.g laugh
2. Stays “silent” e.g fight
3. With its “own sound” e.g ghost

Really appreciate your input👍😊However being a graduate in ELT the easy and effective way to teach toddlers how to read is phonics rather transcription because it would be easy for kids under 5y or even 5 is by teaching them group letters ,blends, digraphs ,diphthong, syllables ,sight words step by step for kid’s ease e.g in present case we can split Laugh as L.au.gh with 2 diagraphs 😊 simple

Aoa. Mam sara My child also knows phonics, he is in kindergarten class but when he sounds 4 letters and 5 letters, When he tries to spell 4th and 5th letter, those words are not according to phonics, then what is the method to be adopted for him?

Also work on segmenting the words properly.
If children have to be segmented, then segments of any spelling should be made or a special book will have to be taken for that.
